I came here on a Tuesday on a mission to find some new comfy shoes. I have purchased about four pairs of shoes from Fleet Feet over the year and I love the technology that analyzes your feet while standing and walking. I have found that it always leads me in a good direction. They've also gotten me hooked me on other products over the years, like Balega socks and Currex insoles. I now wear both of these to work daily. This was the first time I'd visited this Providence Road store, and I was not disappointed. The staff was terrific, and I was personally helped by Natalie, who was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the product, and her suggestions were spot on. I ultimately ended up buying two pairs of shoes (New Balance 880s and Brooks Ghost Max for work and walking and a pair of sunglasses for when I walk. The only unfortunate thing was that I walked out with just the sunglasses and had to order the shoes via their website to get a color I liked. This is the only drawbacks that I have found shopping with them--either I have to settle on color or order the color that I really want. Overall, a very small grievance in the grand scheme of the larger experience. I hope that the stores will stock more colors in the future. One thing I love about Fleet Feet is their rewards program. Anybody who buys good running shoes knows they are not cheap, even if they are worth it. The good thing about Fleet Feet is that they give you rewards certificates for future purchases. So even though I spent a pretty decent amount today, I got about 10% of that back in store reward certificates for future purchases. This is always a great company to shop regardless of location. If you are having any issues with your feet, if your shoes are wearing down unevenly, or you just want to know what's really going on with your feet, I suggest you make an appointment or simply stop by Fleet Feet. Fleet Feet is the step before going to a podiatrist. They are the foots answer to knowing what's really going on with your stride. We had an appointment with Kristin (the retail experience manager) who explained every detail of the Fit ID scan to us; Kristin was extremely helpful, she offered several suggestions based on the scan, she answered all of our questions as it pertained to the scan and helped us find the right shoes. Kristin's expertise is unmatched, even when someone else came in we didn't feel rushed, she got another associate to help them and continued working with us. We learned so much in this short visit, which is why this won't be our last visit. read more

My husband and I arrived on a Sunday 3 minutes after opening with no set appointment. There were already at least 6 customers inside. We were greeted so nicely and told we would have a short wait and they would text us when we were up. Kat assisted both of us and I can't go on enough about the knowledge and patient assistance she showed us. They were so busy with 6+ people waiting the entire time we were being served. We never felt rushed and all questions were answered. My husband ended up with a pair of Brooks and a great insole support. I chose a pair of Karhu with a great insole support. I received a pair of clouds purchased from fleet feet for Christmas and I have worn them maybe 36 times. Don't run a lot but work out three times a week. I noticed the heels were tearing which is not normal wear for a pair of expensive shoes. I took the shoe to the store today and the sale person told me that it must be because I have tight calves and she couldn't help. Told me to contact customer service at on cloud and offered no other assistance. I find the lack of customer service and unwillingness to assist in any manor a joke to customer service. I will never step foot in that store again and will make sure I don't recommend to anyone in the fort mill area. I will hopefully hear from a manager regarding this salesperson. I've always had issues with my feet after walking long distances. On the 'heels' of an upcoming multi mile walk/run in Charleston, I knew I needed to see someone about proper shoes. After stopping for a free shoe fitting and foot consultation, per their website, Marty jumped right in to help. He started with the fancy electronic foot measuring device, which really gives you quite the insight on your feet. Then he gave me lots of great pointers and narrowed it down to two different shoe options. I ended up spending more than I ever wanted to, but my feet feel great in them! read more

Tried to call ahead to ask if they had inventory in a size 9 Asics Gel Cumulus. They didn't answer the phone and small businesses tend to not return voicemails so I didn't leave one. Drove a half hour on my lunch break to find they were completely out of the shoe in my size. No, I didn't want to be sold into a Nimbus. Already tried that shoe and I don't like it. Drove half hour back no shoes. Waste of time and gas money. So much for buying local. read more

Terrible experience. I went there today and the manager had me sign in to the waitlist because all of the three employees were with customers. When I signed in I was second on the list. I sat there patiently with my son for over 30 minutes. The store employees take a long time with their customers. I get that. It's part of what they do. What I don't get is how after one person left and the app updated to say I was "next in line," another person walked into the store from outside. He stood closer to the sales counter and so when the next customer left, the sales associate immediately went to him and offered assistance without even looking to see that I was supposed to be the next customer. When I saw that I walked out and went home. They sent me a text 10 minutes later saying they were "ready for me." I responded by explaining what happened as I just did here. Now, I am pretty understanding. I get that sometimes people Just make mistakes. But they didn't even respond. No "we're very sorry, but if you come back we will make it right, etc." I went in there to spend $150 on a new pair of shoes. I went in there to try and help a local business merchant. I will never give that store my business again. read more

Katlin started by thoroughly explaining the fitting process and making me feel comfortable throughout. She then scanned my feet and explained what she saw and what I needed. my mom and i had gone in about two months ago and got fitted for shoes. we had to order them online because they didn't have them in store which was fine. come to find out they lost the tracking order and the store or customer service couldn't help but then they suddenly found it. about a month goes by and my shoes hurt my feet like crazy and we're too small so i called explaining thinking i only had 30 days to return. so the RUDE manger on the phone cut me off and said, it's a 60 day return policy. so i said okay! i'll be in sometime today to exchange them and she immediately hung up. horribly managed clearly. so i called the eagerly location and they were amazing and exchanged my shoe and he said it was definitely way too small and they apologized for the situation and felt horrible. the management at this location needs to be completely turned around because i've never witnessed such poor behavior out of a manager before. read more

I went in a got the full hook up- socks, insoles, shoes, compression sleeve. I was helped right away and got shoes that make my feet feel so much better. After longer runs, my legs and feet aren't anywhere near as sore. This was worth every penny. The people at the store were insanely knowledgeable and helpful. They didn't try to over-sell you. I always dread when it is time for me to buy new running shoes because my feet are typically hard to fit. A brand will fit one year, then not the next. Catherine, Dave and Tori observed me walking barefoot first to check my gait. The wear on my old shoes contradicted what they saw when I walked barefoot. After probably seven pairs of shoes, we finally found the best fit. I greatly appreciate Catherine and Dave's perseverance to get me in the right shoe. I was so impressed with the staff and service at Fleet Feet! Everyone was incredibly friendly. I came looking for good running shoes, my first time getting professionally fitted and assessed. They were able to find me a great shoe with all the features I was looking for. They were also super laid back about my two young kids I brought along, even chuckling when my kid pulled a bunch of things off a rack.
