Had a super experience working with Chad. I had an unusual request- repairing a lamb skin leather jacket that had torn. Although it wasn't in his normal repair realm, Chad suggested I snap some photos so he could see the damage. He was confident he could repair it so I dropped it off the next day. The driver's side bolster actually had a hole nearly the size of small pea and both sides showed cracking in the leather. So many good things to say about Chad and Leather Tech as a whole! First off the estimate consultation, you can book online and is painless to schedule. I had no wait, I walked right in and he stopped what he was working on to walk out to my car and look at my drivers side seat which had a 4 in cut in the bottom of the seat. After looking for about 30 seconds he immediately told me a price that he could do it for. He told me a few other options and even gave me a business card of another business up the road if I wanted the seat re-upholstered. My steering wheel also had a few minor scratches on it and when i brought that up during the consultation he told me if I got both done at the same time he could discount the steering wheel by about $30. 5 minutes later I had a formal estimate in my email's inbox to review. I decided to get both items done with him and boy was I ever glad that I did. He told me that the seat repair would look "75%-80%" and in my opinion it looks 100%. When I first opened the car door I honestly couldn't find the repair. I knew the general area of where it was but I couldn't directly point out where it was. They matched the leather texture and the perforation perfectly! As well, like the seat my steering wheel looks brand new from like it's from the factory and flawless. The whole process only took about 4-5 hours. He even had one of his employees stay late just so I could come pay after I got off work! Overall from first meeting the owner Chad to receiving the finished product I couldn't be happier. I would most definitely recommended Leather Tech to anyone and I find their rates completely reasonable for the stellar quality work they provide! read more

I asked Chad to re-dye my passenger seat, but he also dyed my almost new driver seat cover, (which I explicitly asked in writing for him not to do) making the texture and feel very poor. When I asked him to fix/un-do it, he told me: "I'm sorry the process didn't work well at all this time, it usually does. But there is no way to get your leather back to how it was. There is nothing I will do for you." I asked him many times what I should do, and he eventually tried to strip off what he had done, but this only made my seat worse. Now the feel is totally wrong, and the color is missing in spots and you can see bare leather. I was told by Chad (and several other leather specialists) that the only way to get back to my new leather look/feel is to but a brand new cover. When I asked Chad to split the cost of this with me (since he had worked on my leather against my will in the first place) he declined, and I had to pay $700 for a whole new seat cover myself.
