I stopped by here for my first time while I was in the area for business after seeing the rave reviews. I was seated immediately in the quaint, sparsely filled café. My server recommended the Pollack lunch. It came with a choice of potato, cottage cheese, coleslaw, or salad, and a dinner roll. I always appreciate a restaurant that offers side choices, especially a potato option. The Pollack lunch was excellent. Lightly breaded and no fish smell. It was so good that I pulled a rookie foodie error and forgot to take a picture of the entrée. I enjoyed the owner's creation of banana split pie. It was on the pricy side, but it was delicious and was actually enough for two people. Low-top seating with a pleasant outdoor theme atmosphere. Daily specials. Competitive prices. Excellent service with friendly staff and owner. Limited hours. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area. read more

The food is ok, but not as good as it was before the TV makeover remodel. The service is always good. But now the place lost its hometown feel, open the bar back up, let the staff come back to the community. The decor was all Coleman before, now the cruddy makeover did make the place brighter, but it took away the hometown charm. MISS the old Leah's......... read more

If you travel US 10, plan a stop for breakfast or lunch (plus Supper on Fridays). FABULOUS. Everything was great. Leah is a Christian lady worth getting to know. She had us try the mushrooms. (Unbelievable). The onion rings were to die for. Her staff was constantly attentive and very pleasant. The municipal parking lot across the street is big enough for RVs. Yes, Leah's gets a 5Star! Stopped by the restaurant in the little sleepy town of Coleman-worth the small jog off US-10 if that's how you roll. My partner and I had lunch (because as you know-breakfast is also a lunch option!) We had the shrimp salad (well prepared-w/a little Kick) and the fridayfishspecial-which was Breaded (nicely cooked) w/2 sides(I opted for fries and coleslaw) all! Not out of the gordons box, as another yelper rated. All the food was well prepared, fresh and unique to this restaurant. Our server did a great job also-definitely a return trip will be planned. Super cute, small town place with great food and service. The interior was recently remodeled, we're told. It's clean and country chic. Definitely a jeans and tee shirt kind of place where comfort is welcomed. We went for a calm and peaceful Sunday lunch. Our drinks were never less than half full. Coleman Club sandwich was good, and the hint of pepper on the fries was a nice touch. My partner loved the patty melt! We'll be back, maybe next time for breakfast (served until 11:00 am). read more

I've been going to Leah's restaurant for years and the service and food is always fantastic. She keeps your drinks full, always has a smile on her face and makes you feel so welcome. Sometimes I'd just pop in just for pie or coffee and it's always fresh. I love the variety of food , homemade and filling. Her curbside is just as good. I call in my order and it's ready right quick and piping hot. I love supporting local business. She puts her heart into the food and you can taste the love. Stopped here for breakfast on a bike ride from Midland. It was about 10:30 on a Sunday morning and it was pretty quiet. Can't say the food is anything to write home about but it is good. Eggs, hash browns, French toast and sausage, all pretty much standard. I would have preferred the hash browns to be a little more crispy but the rest was cooked to order. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes too. Service however was very good. Our server was friendly and kept the coffee filled. When I was deciding whether or not to order hash browns she suggested the half order (which I did). Outside looks like a home and inside is nicely decorated with old farm tools. Tables are a little close but didn't interfere with anyone's table conversation. If you're in the area and need breakfast Leah's is a nice place to stop. read more

In my head at the restaurant, this review started as a 5 star. The food was that good. Hubby got the Coleman Club sandwich, which he said was great. Really big, too, and he couldn't even finish it. It looked like homemade bread was used for it. It came with homemade potato chips, so 2 thumbs up for that. I ordered the chef salad, no tomatoes, which arrived...with tomatoes. It isn't an allergy thing, I just don't care for them, so try to prevent the waste. Well, I tried. The negative is in service. After we got our food, we never saw the waitress again. We were done, wanting boxes and our bill, so we could be on our way, as we were headed north on vacation. After a long wait, looking around in vain for ANYONE to help us, hubby finally went to the counter, where another woman took his money and handed him the boxes. Like I said, the food was a 5. I wish this place was good, but it just isn't. It would be nice to have a nice local place to go that services great food, but the food is bad. We met friends there so we didn't have a real choice since they were already there. There was five in our party and it wasn't busy but my burger arrived after almost all at my table were almost done.
