He replaced the drive, transferred data from my old drive, and installed Windows 11 at a very reasonable price with the guarantee if it didn't run faster, I could bring it back for a refund. He also cleaned it, replaced the CMOC battery, installed a heat sink for the SSD, and replaced the thermal paste under the fan at no additional cost. Plus, the view is worth the drive! I was able to talk them down to $350 and had no choice but to pay it, knowing it would be a simple recovery and that I was being charged twice as much as the original price I was told it would be if it was on the easier side of things. When I got the photos back the image quality had been affected and the file type had changed from RAW to JPG. As a photographer that needs RAW images to effectively edit the photos I brought the issue to their attention and they said that's all they could do. So not only did I over pay but they never mentioned I wouldn't be getting back the actual files that I lost in their true form. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and will not be giving them my business in the future.
