I would give ZERO STARS! Lowe's partnered w/ LeafFilter GP for access to its customer base. I scheduled via a LFGP rep inside of Lowe's. The rep came to my house was grossly unprofessional. Her name was Stacy A. Rude, condescending, and aggressive. Sales mgr was very unprofessional on the telephone. Company get an 'F' grade for customer service. UNHINGED: She began yelling at me that she had a family to feed...driving to my house inconvenienced her...scolding me about her job being important and wasting her time! I literally opened my front door and told her to get out! She refused...OMG! She kept yelling, I tried to de-escalate her by telling her to calm down...your'e disrespecting me, you're in my home...stop yelling! She continued to be even more unhinged. I literally took her shoes (took them off when she entered my home) and put them on the porch to get her out of my house! She had a huge case with assorted samples. She hit my knees hard as she exited my home. I feel it was purposely done because she was angry. I immediately contacted Lowe's customer service line. I was given a complaint number and told the matter was reported to my local Lowe's store manager. To date, I haven't heard back from Lowe's. I live on Hatteras Island in OBX. After having the "local" companies either give a ridiculous bid, not return calls, or they said Hatteras was too far, Leaf Filter responded and asked about all the decision makers being present and they would be out today in something like a few hours. It was just me being a decision maker and I work from home - no problem. I went along with it. Then, my phone rang back and the lady who was scheduling me just wanted to let me know and check if it was a problem if it was closer to being 4 hours due to him coming from Norfolk. I said sure again, and was expecting him not to show up. I was actually hoping to just get a relatively simple job done while I had someone down on the island. A guy shows up in a car (Virginia plates) and very personable. Does all his measurements and what I wanted. We discussed the one side of the house (40ft) that I definitely wanted done and the other side (another 40ft) as being optional. Also, due to lack of high trees, no real point for doing the covers. Price was negotiated and a contract agreement was prepared. As I recall, this was on a Thursday and they were able to schedule this for a Monday install - again, I told them not a problem and just to communicate with me for any changes. Monday morning came and the two man crew showed up with their truck and trailer (again, Virginia plates). Job went smoothly and product looks great. One issue arouse with the corrugated drain pipes for the downspout to move the water away from the house they didn't have. We discussed if they wanted to take it off the bill (not a penny has been paid yet), which I was fine grabbing them for like $30 bucks at Lowe's and popping them on myself and after their phone call to the office, they said they would like to do a post inspection and would bring them down and install them. I asked about how long, and they said the next day. And there I am on Tuesday and another guy (Virginia plates still) shows up and rings the door bell, does a walk around and made sure the job was done up to their expectations and installed (snapped on) the two downspouts as told they would. That's a total of three trips for different people to a remote location at least 2 hours from Norfolk. Done almost immediately and noting the local companies didn't even want to call me back. Price was great, product was great, everything was smooth. I was waiting for something to be wrong and didn't read any reviews prior to calling them. They did seem like a larger company and I did get a full warranty and paperwork you would expect from such - which I doubt I would of gotten that from the local guys. On all fronts - they did do what each one of them said and committed to. They were easy to work with. It was a typical "all decision maker being present" that had me concerned from other experiences with "remodel" companies, but that wasn't the case. They were just as interested in writing a deal that I was to have this project done that probably took me a year of trying to find a reasonable company that would just even respond for someone living out here full time. I had the Leaf Filter system installed 1 April 2023 and discovered that water dripping from the soffit where the AC condensate drain went into my gutter. I removed a section of the leaf filter and found the installer had cut back the drain PVC pipe and then installed the filter section in front of it blocking the water flow from the gutter and diverting it to the soffit. When I called customer service, I was informed that I'd voided my warranty and wanted to charge $105 to come see the damage they had caused. They refused to reimburse me for the repair I had done to correct the drain flow. If I could post zero stars I would but the leaf protection works well but the installation was terrible. 1 star and not recommended due to poor installation and customer service read more

Bad business and inconsiderate of a person's time. So the sales guy came he was ok. I scheduled my appointment. They were supposed to arrive between 12-4. I even got a call a day before. I took off work to ensure I will be home. So here is installation day so I thought. No one has come between 12-4. So what a waste of a day taking off work. read more

Look elsewhere. LeafFilter has been unable to complete my job for over a month and has arrived with incorrectly sized gutters on two occasions. They charged my CC without completing the job and I've been constantly engaging with their customer service to finish the job. I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere. To add insult to injury, my sales rep accused me of being "forgetful" when i was surprised by the installation date, despite me asking when they would come and having TBD written on my contract. If I could give zero stars, I would. Unprofessional and unwilling to complete the job. Look elsewhere. Leaf filter came to my home and the sales guy Brent was very nice. We agreed upon the contract. He went outside and checked the color of my gutters and I clearly stated I did not want white white. We sealed the deal. The contractor came and we realized it was the white white. I asked the contractor to stop. I realized I have two separate colors from the previous buyer of gutters in the front of the house. The contractor was very nice and explained my options. In the meantime the ops manager Andrew had told the contractor to wait. Andrew was very rude, yelling at me that he didn't see the two colors. He threatened me about VA law me having to pay his contractor. It got so bad, I had to walk in my house and close my door. I eventually open the door and allowed Andrew to reconcile his bad behavior. He apologized and said it has been a long day for him. Inexcusable behavior! We talked about what could be done to rectify the issue. They came back with more cost and I said no. I have no intention of spending my hard earned money on a company that's culture is so aggressive and unprofessional. What Andrew was not aware of is that I was still in the window to invoke my right to cancel the contract. I was fortunate to not to have to deal with such unprofessional behavior. I invoked my right to cancel by signing the form and sending a telegram to the company as directed by the contract. If he could be this unprofessional can you imagine dealing with them when you have warranty issues or installation issues. Professionalism matters! Be Prepared for Poor Customer Service The purpose of this review is to alert potential buyers of Leaffilter of what we experienced as "valued customers." Bottom line up front is that the sales pitch is not aligned with operations, and operations has no concept of good customer service or quality control. We purchased Leaf Filter gutter protection because we bought into their product and felt that it was the best gutter protection for pine needles. We sat through the polished sales pitch and signed up right away. We were told that since the company was so large, they had their own crews, supplies, and all crews were highly trained. When asked about scheduling, the response was "we have crews waiting for the work." I'll try to make a long story short, the first two scheduled installs resulted in no crews showing or calling to reschedule. Two wasted mornings since we were given a 4 hour window each time. The only reason I believe they ever called was I filed a service complaint on the company's website. The third and fourth scheduled installs that were arranged to make up for the mistake did not occur. I did receive a call on both that the previous day's weather or equipment failure caused a delay, 3 hours after the promised arrival time I asked for a reschedule and to make it a first appointment in the morning with a 2 hour window. The Project Manager promised to make it happen. Scheduled install date number 4 came and went and had to be rescheduled again for other jobs going over. The final install date we did not receive a call that the crew would be 4 hours late, but the crew chief eventually called and showed up. He was unaware of the promised arrival time or our previous issues. The gutter protection was installed by a 2 man sub-contracted team...so much for their own crews. The crew chief was inexperienced and said it was his first week on his own. The install appears to have done properly and hopefully it was. After our many issues And 2 online complaints and negative Yelp reviews, I would have thought some manager would have followed up to see if we were happy with the install. But nope, crickets from the management. I have always gone by, "under promise and over deliver". Leaffilter management, at least the Norfolk, VA office, missed that customer service lesson. I was encouraged by friends to walk away from the contract, but the end we wanted the product. Just not the headaches and the misinformation. Buyer beware, and be prepared for a polished sales pitch. They charged my mother $1700 to fix some gutters. They subcontracted the work out. The person who showed up, arrived 4 hours late and slapped a couple beads of caulk on the gutters. This didn't fix them. They sent someone back out to fix them who arrived a day early. They did not fix them. They still leaked. They sent a supervisor out the 3rd time but they still leaked after his "repair". They used about $70 in supplies but charged $1700! They do NOT warranty thier work. They overcharge. Total rip off. We have had the absolute worst experience possible! The second I heard the sales pitch, I knew it was a scam. On day one, the sales guy convinced my husband we needed these unique leaf filters to replace the new ones we already had by a competitor a few years back with the old owners of our home. "You will never have to clean your gutters again" - sorry, this product isn't magic; you have to clean anything water and dirt touches...it doesn't just say clean! The sales pitch was insulting. A "special" pricing was put together just for us...$15K for a 1,000 sqft home!!! Yes, just the filters, nothing else. One hour later, "my boss approved $9k; sign this contract to cancel a contract that you HAVENT even signed," ... all while still SITTING AT MY KITCHEN TABLE. I told him multiple times I was not signing anything that day and that he could leave. He wouldn't leave. Two weeks after nagging my husband, he signed for $3,200. Magically he went from $15k to $3,200! It included getting gutters cleaned with a power washer, a new fascia, and realigned gutters. We did not get any of that! What we got are two guys that showed up at noon and spent a long time eating their lunch than working on the house, bent gutters bc they let the gutter hang from the house while they ate their long lunch, we got their trash including chicken bones that our dogs got into bc again they left their garbage on the ground in our backyard! Oh, that's not all. They pulled off the gutters ripping the shoe molding, and now we have terrible-looking shoe molding I have to star at because they said they'd replace it but were a no-show. We have endless screws everywhere, and they are METAL! Why are they screwing metal screws into my roof! They left all the old debris and buckets of trash and didn't pick up a single screw! I stepped on one. My kids can't play outside bc I can't stop finding them. After dealing with the first installation two weeks later, the manager came out, and it felt genuine. He saw how bad it was and said he would make it right. I was ok with the fact that he watched me picking up endless screws while I showed him the terrible work and got his magnet picker upper thingy, and went around getting the ones wedged into our deck. I was ok with it bc I felt confident he saw how bad it was and would make it right. Well, that wasn't the case. They came back on Saturday, gave us un-matching new gutters, never cleaned the gutters as promised, left screws all over, it's still missing the corner filter, the shoe molding still broken, but the kicker is we now have a HOLE between the gutter and attic! It was never there before, and you can see directly into our attic! So now we have a hole where bats and other rodents will find. Wait, there's more! Remember all the screws they left? I just bought a brand new car. Guess who has a hexagon-shaped screw in the wall of their brand-new car? I do! Are you even surprised? Nope. I even told the manager I would be livid if one of these screws messed up a tire. So now what? Now I have a company that won't call me back! I call every morning at 8 am and get told to stop calling and that they'll call me back by 4. No calls. I called the Norfolk office, and the guy answered and was dismissive and told me his district manager would call. It's been 24 hours, no call. I called again this morning. As I type this, I'm sitting at NTB getting new tires. I'm missing work. My time is wasted waiting for my car, which won't be done for 4 hours. Maybe today they will call. But who knows! read more

Hired to clean gutters, seal leaks, realign gutters. Seal of leaks was not complete and neither was realignment. Water pools inside gutters and water leaks out. I reported the problems 3 times and finally got someone to come out who said problems were too numerous to fix by himself and he would send back the original crew to make the repairs. This crew was clueless and I don't want them returning. Emailed and called leaffilter for resolution, still waiting for an answer. Seems like a good product, with poor customer service. * Update, changed rating. They finally sent out a crew and spent 4 hours fixing the problems. These people will answer a sales call in under a minute. However when you go for your install/service, you can't reach the office. You get an answer machine that they do not check. The sales office said that they couldn't do anything for me, that i HAD to go through my local office... you know, the one that doesn't answer the phones... so frustrated already with this company. LeafFilter is a #1 company. They are professional, knowledgeable and it was a real pleasure to do business with LeafFilter. Jonny, Ashley and Adam were all wonderful . The process was so fast , I had an appointment at 3:00 pm one day and my LeafFilter was installed by 3:00 pm the next day. Adam, our installer was amazing. You can have a fantastic product but if the install is bad it can cause major problems. The yard and garden was just as neat and clean when Adam finished as when he started.
