I was a little caught off guard because the front door goes straight into the main floor instead of an entryway, but I was immediately welcomed by the friendly owners. I was led to a cute waiting area with mounted flat tvs where a staff member brought me whatever drink I could think of. Today was a double espresso kind of day! This was my first time here, so I had no idea if the person doing my highlights and haircut would know what they were doing. Well - my haircut is great and the highlights came out perfectly. It came with a complimentary glaze and deep conditioning treatment that actually worked. I could tell Ashley knew what she was doing. I picked up a bottle of Shu Uemera hair treatment on the way out. That is the brand they specialize in and the staff were so nice I just decided to trust their opinion that it is a good product. So far, so good! Prices are typical of Greenwich but they get my recommendation anyway. Very "trendy" atmosphere. I'm in marketing and they did an awesome job with their branding to make you really feel like you're at some exclusive Hollywood salon (not that I've been to one of those, but I would imagine!). read more

I only gave this salon a star because 0 stars was not an option. This is a NEW salon that was taken over from a previous owner- hence all the old 4-5 stars. Now it is a horrible place. This was truly a traumatizing experience. My friend and I had made hair appts here for a blowout months ago for 4:30. This entire process should have taken a max of 45 minutes. At 5pm (30 minutes into our appt) they finally took me to get started. My friend was still waiting. When she asked an ETA because we had a wedding to attend, the OWNER said to her "baby you need to calm down I am stressed." I have never been spoken to that way by any business. We felt so uncomfortable. Not to mention, the sinks were filthy with old coloring. I actually had to ask the owner to wipe it down before I stuck my head in for a wash. At 5:20 (50 minutes into our scheduled appt) the owner and the assistant started to blowdry our hair...but they refused to brush it! Knotty wet hair under a blow dryer...it just didn't make sense. When we asked the owner about this, he responded "I am stressed. My hands are shaking. I can't do this." So at 5:30 we were essentially kicked out of the salon with wet knotty hair. It was absolutely horrible. Luckily we found GLAM BLOW around the corner and they stayed open past their closing time to helps us out! We made it to the wedding with 10 minutes to spare. It was horrible. Le Salon Bleu has only been open for 2 months and you can tell. They are rude...disorganized...and absolutely filthy inside. Le Salon Ew. read more

The service was nice, however I got blonde highlights done and it was pretty awful. My highlights were orange. The owner himself did my hair. He tried to fix it but he did a pretty bad job :((( I would not recommend him to anyone. Maybe other hairdressers do a better job. I went to Le Salon Bleu for the first time last week and had a very positive experience. Billy, my stylist, did a great job with cutting and styling my hair. I had a groupon which included the cut, deep conditioning and styling, but I knew I was overdue for color as well. Billy consulted me and gave me the best advice to tone down my hair that had become brassy from previous highlight and color. He gave me a good deal on single process and glaze. My hair color looks more natural now. Billy and his staff, including his assistant stylist/colorist Sophia who was in charge of my color and the salon manager Estii were all friendly and pleasant. Toward the end of my appointment, Billy helped me pick out the best styling brush for my hair and also a new hair dryer. I was in the market for both, so I did not feel he was pushy with the sell, and he also gave me a 25% discount on the products which was my yelp check-in special. He also recommended a leave-in conditioner that should help with my color holding on better, and applied the discount on it also. Other perks are that the salon is clean, chic and modern, and they serve good latte. Billy invited me back to his salon for a face-framing highlights and balayage as a gift, so I'm planning on having that done this week. read more

I love when yelp steers you in the right direction. This salon is posh and quaint, the perfect spot to get your hair done. I called for a same day appointment and they so graciously fit me in! I have long, thick and curly hair that can easily become a Frizzy mess if not handled correctly. These guys know what they are doing. They took my long, curly Mane and transformed it into glossy beach waves. A style I've coveted, but have yet to find a stylist that can pull it off. I definitely found a new gem for blow outs. The price was $50, a small price to pay for knockout hair, in my opinion. Also the wash was just as luxurious as the blow out. It was a full blown scalp massage that had me in full relaxation mode. I didn't get the catty vibe I feel sometimes at salons. Alex did both my cut and my highlights and I couldn't be happier with the results. She listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted, natural looking highlights and a low maintenance cut. She was very pleasant to talk to and I've gotten a ton of compliments on my hair. What a fabulous place - I have to admit I was a little bit hesitant coming in here because it's more of a women's salon, but the guys at Billy Magnum treated me very well and were totally welcoming. They gave me a rather well-made cappuccino right off the bat which was a great hospitable touch (there's a liquor store next door, so who knows - you could probably ask them to go grab you a beer or a glass of wine or whatever the heck you wanted). Genesis gave me a great haircut, I didn't really know what I wanted so I appreciate it when they just make me look good - and I realize that's probably a challenge when customers come in without specific ideas. At any rate, I was blown away by these guys' hospitality, and super welcoming attitude. As a bearded ginger, I certainly don't look like the average client so I appreciated the fact that they made me feel just as welcome as some Prada-toting Greenwich housewife. I have very thin/ fine hair and you really cant do much to make my hair look great. I went here because I found a Groupon and the reviews were good. One of the owners, Billy did my hair cut. He was the only one there and I didn't get offered a coffee or anything which would have been nice, but he did say his desk guy was running late. Anyway he did a good job and was very nice. I'm not a talker so he didn't try to bother me once he realized I was dull conversation lol. I'm happy with my hair and I think ill go back, of course it will never look as good as the day he did it, but I'm still satisfied with he overall results. I was a little hesitant to try a new place, because I have never felt completely happy at any salon. I have thick hair with a lot of volume, and no one, I mean no one could give it a cut I was happy with and I have found that many salons just don't know how to blowdry thick hair. Genesis gave me a hair treatment, and as soon a Lucas saw my hair, he knew exactly what I needed and wanted. He gave me a perfect cut (it actually made my hair look longer), beautiful highlights, and the blowdry was amazing. I will definitely be going back, Lucas is not only great with hair, he has a great personality and his assistant Genesis is very helpful. They also made sure I would not get a parking ticket, and they sent someone out to add time to the meter. I was so satisfied that I took my teenage son (very picky) to see Lucas, and Lucas gave him a new style. My son and I could not be happier. After many years of searching and being dissatisfied I have finally found the one! As stated on Joy M.'s review, I also would not like them to be too busy, but they definitely deserve a great review. Billy did my haircut. After I washed my hair I noticed that bottom layer from behind was short 2 inch!!!! My hair is medium length. (His explanation: "sweetie you have so much hair so I remove one layer"). Also left side was longer then right one, whole hair cut was a one big mess!! I went back to hair salon to fix my hair!! You can't actually fix it anymore, I will have to wait to grow my hair more I guess. Never ever again!! I don't recommend this hair salon(if they can call them hair salon)!! read more

WILL NEVER RETURN! Took two hours to get a simple haircut because they double booked my appointment. Not only that, but there was no one there to run my credit card for payment because Billy left salon and no one else could operate the CC machine. They had to call me the following day while I was at work for payment. The only positive thing I can say is that I left with an amazing haircut by Paula. I wish I could give this zero stars, and less than zero if that was even possible. A friend and I made appointments earlier this summer to have our hair blown out for a wedding this past weekend. We were kept waiting for 28 minutes, and at that point the two stylists (owner and his assistant) were scrambling between clients. He shampooed us both and then planned to go back to another client. I asked him how long it would be since it was already 5 pm (for a 4:30 appt) and we had to be at a wedding at 7 pm. He told me "baby, calm down". I could not believe I was spoken to this way by a hair stylist, let alone a business owner! At that point, my friend texted me from across the salon that the assistant tried to blow her hair without brushing, and there was still conditioner in her hair. My friend began to blow her own hair (again, unacceptable). The owner then proceeded to attempt to blow my hair the same way, and when I told him he was hurting me and asked if he always did hair without brushing, he told me his hands were shaking and he could not continue with us. We both walked out at 5:30 pm with wet (and still dirty) hair for a 7 pm wedding. We left in tears and I cannot express enough how DISGUSTED we were and how the owner should be ASHAMED for treating paying customers this way. again...less than zero stars. Go to Glam Blow instead....or even stay home. You could do a better job on your own hair than these "professionals". read more
