The only decent place in Tremblant village The Tremblant village is a very touristy place. I came here during the non-ski season. not so many places are open. We came here because it has somewhat decent reviews and it was one of a handful of places that are open. There was no lineup at all. we ordered the burger and wrap. the portion was good. if I came here after a full day of skiing, I would still be full. The burger tasted way better than the wrap, and the price was not too outrageous. It seems to be the only decent restaurant in Tremblant Village that is not too expensive and has edible food.

Loved this place so much that we ate here twice during our ski trip. The stand out for me was the salad with duck confit. The duck was perfectly cooked and the salad kept it light. Anything on their menu is excellent from the tartare to beef rib, yummy. When we return this will be the first stop on our trip if not the second as well. Love eating upstairs with the giant bear. The staff was very accommodating when we returned on another night with a party of 19. Can't wait to return.

This place was one of my favs! We went once for just drinks and saw the menu and had to come back. The menu is so different from the others restaurants in the village. A must try!!

Service is decent. But I guess that's French Canadian things. Nice deco and cozy place. Food! They tried to be sophisticated but lacked 2%. Maybe 10%.... It's good enough for seasonal places. Steak was ok but it was $68 CAD. Not sure worth the price. But I understand it's ski town. So we were paying for premium. My duck confit was decent but piglet dish was not good. Overall it was decent. Will I go back? Not sure. For the money we had to spend, I am not sure if we enjoyed the food.

Such a cool place, with interesting, cozy decor and a great assortment of unusual meats (elk carpaccio, wild boar stew, half piglet shank, etc). It's surprisingly both great for a date night and also with a family; they have a kids menu and crayons but also a full bar. My favorite was the duck in blueberry sauce, and the half pigling shank was also really good. Both were so tender, and came with really good sides. I also got to try two unusual appetizers here: the calamari steak and frog legs. The calamari was great, very unlike its usual form. The frog legs were also tasty, but tasted quite like chicken (not that I've ever tried them before). We had a hard time choosing dessert, but settled on the rhubarb and strawberry crumble, which was incredible, I think we chose right! The service was also really on point, we didn't feel rushed but also not abandoned.

There is no better restaurant in Mont Tremblant and potentially all of Quebec (eating our way through the province and I won't ever forget QG ). The elk carpaccio is delicious, not gamey and the sides with it lend a fresh contrast to the rich meat. The short rib is hands down the BEST short rib I have ever eaten in my life. We will have to go back one more time before our trip ends I loved it so much. I couldn't stop eating despite being so full it was just that delicious. My husband got the elk tenderloin dinner and it was good, rather lean as is all elk but the sauce and sides (roasted vegetables and potatoes) were the perfect pairing. For dessert we got the maple crème brûlée and cappuccinos which were also fantastic. And the perfect way to end the meal. The cocktails were amazing with the Zombie being one of the smoothest drinks I've tried. The Moscow mule wasn't the best if you tend to enjoy those, rather sweet and the ginger beer is quite strong. Overall though, I won't be forgetting this place and need to learn how to make that short rib. I'll be dreaming about it for ages to come!

Great restaurant in the pedestrian village at the mountain. We've eaten here several times over the years, and it's consistently excellent. It's casual, with a rock-n'-roll soundtrack and food to match that ballsy attitude. Do you want to try elk carpaccio? Yes, you do, and this is a great place to do so. The small kitchen pumps out outstanding dishes, with a heavey emphasis on Quebecois influences. The last time here I got the Quebec walleye, see photo. It was phenomenal. Everything was, and it's all the more enjoyable because there's not an ounce of pretension about the place.

I went to Le Q.G. on a New Year's Eve ski trip. Since it is just a little further down the hill (less than 5 minute walk) you can avoid the crowds at the base area restaurants. The menu had so many interesting French options; escargot, boar, frog legs, elk. We got the boar, escargot, and tuna tartare. Everything came out hot and delicious (not hot tuna tartare of course). One of my favorite things about Montreal is being able to get escargot in a preparation other than the heavy butter sauce you see in the United States. If you haven't tried escargot I definitely recommend trying it at Le Q.G. for an unadulterated flavor. There was also a large cocktail menu including varieties of hot coffee drinks. I got the Spanish style which was smooth but without the creamy Baileys. Staff gave honest menu recommendations and was friendly and accommodating. Decor was cozy and warm; perfect for a ski resort.

My mom and I went here during our short visit to tremblant. It was really good! When we arrived, we were the only people eating (on patio) but by the time we left all the patio seats were taken. This place has a really unique menu in my opinion. They serve things like escargot and frog legs for honestly a pretty good price! I got the escargot to start and my mom got calamari. It was my first time trying escargot so I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed it! For mains, my mom othered the Quebec bison burger and I got a chicken wrap. The portion sizes were perfect and the fries were probably the best part. They were very flavourful and crunchy! That being said, our mains were still really good. I got a good amount of chicken in my wrap and had a bite of the burger (which my mom couldn't stop raving about). I would definitely recommend coming here if you can, I think it is a better option than other restaurants in the village but it's underrated.

Bison burger with fries and salad. A bit dry but tasty.

This was a nice spot for a group dinner. Service was pretty quick considering we were the first ones there when they opened. I had a bison burger that was pretty good but a little on the dry side. One of my companions got the pulled duck poutine, but the fries and duck were cold... we were the first ones there as I said already, so I don't understand how anything could be cold. The fries that came with my burger were nice and hot so it's really a shame his were cold. This place wasn't bad but it could, and should, have been so much better.

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.

Greater Montreal area reviews I forgot to write (1 of 2)…read more A long time ago, I found a fairly priced casual French restaurant in the Laurentians that did a fixed price table d'hote lunch where the portions were good enough for portion control, yet satisfying enough for one's appetite. I reviewed it and later became aware that, sadly, they had closed. I really wanted to go back there. I was looking for something similar, befitting a "yellow, orange, and red" sort of day in the Laurentians. There was no such thing to be found. I walked around Saint-Sauveur, saw their postcard-like main church, and checked out the shops and eateries. Both my phone and a local or two steered me to Saint-Sau, indicating this might be the closest thing to what I was looking for. Had I kept on rummaging through Laurentian towns, I could have probably found something closer to what I wanted, but it was definitely time for lunch. I walked into Saint-Sau, which is woodsy, fairly bright, and seems to pull in the sort of crowd who would order things like fondue and such. I picked out a place to sit and was handed a menu. I don't remember how I went through the culling process, but I ended up at the fish and chips. The prices at Saint-Sau are a little bit above the midpoint for this sort of food, but then this is a touristic area, especially in summer and fall, and the prices reflect that. I told the lady providing the service that I was hungry and asked how many pieces of fish would be included. This predominately Francophone cross between a "Dreamboat Annie" and a younger Sarah Palin told me two large pieces or three more normally sized pieces. I was okay with that, so that's what I ordered. I also ordered a soft drink. She was actually very nice and quick on her feet, attending to various tables, and I remember her having somewhat of a deep voice. The food arrived and I looked at what was on the plate. I just sat there with my arms folded and didn't dig in. I don't know if this was noticed and it registered, or they simply needed to do more cooking. Initially, I got two pieces of fish and they were not big enough for what I paid and was expecting. Within about 5 minutes, that third piece of fish arrived. At that point, I was a happy camper, dug in, and woofed down this Laurentian lunch. This town and those frequenting its shops and eateries made for some questions and analysis. With it being peak color, some people were clearly tourists - "leaf peepers." However, some people didn't have the "looking up at skyscrapers" look, meaning they were locals. I also saw some expensive cars with Quebec license plates in the area. Doing the math, these folks could be well paid French-Canadian individuals who own businesses or are in the professions in these Laurentian towns. Or, they could be the same, except that they commute to companies and organizations on the Rive Nord, or even in Laval. Like New York, Los Angeles, or anywhere else in North America, the center of Montreal and its first ring of neighborhoods now look way more international in terms of demographics than they do French-Canadian. With three small pieces of fish (most likely cod) to eat and something to wash it down, I'm glad I came to Saint-Sau. I'm going with three stars because I feel I shouldn't have been perplexed and had to wait for another piece of fish to arrive. At two pieces of fish, the platter would have been overpriced. Also, while waiting and observing the autumn colors outside, I knew that peoplewatching and armchair sociology would inevitably come into play.

We ordered fish & chip and a charcuterie. They had a $10 mojito special. The menu was bilingual…read more(French and English). The person who brought me the charcuterie didn't really speak English - I only understood that I got Brie as one of the cheese. Oh, well.
