We enjoyed lunch at Le Pinocchio in Eze prior to going up into the village. I enjoyed the Assiette provençale and fries. The pissaladière was okay, but not great. Everything else was delicious. The bread was some of the best I have ever had. It's always great when a touristy spot has good service and good food.

Cute little place off the main road between Nice and Monaco leading up to Èze Village. Enjoy crêpes for lunch or pizza for dinner. I had the tuna Niçoise salad, which was decent, but had anchovies on it as well, which I do NOT like. The pizza is great! The prices are extremely reasonable, even for wine--we got a decent bottle of Côtes de Provence rosé for 22€, which is almost impossible to come by in France. The service was great, and the atmosphere is cute with indoor and outdoor seating.

Cool little spot with an incredible view in Eze village. A bit pricey but I got tried the French onion soup and it was killer. A good spot to grab a bite after hiking around the village!

We stumbled across this place while visiting Eze at lunchtime. Sat outside on the terrace. Very nice atmosphere, cool breeze, terrific view of the hills. Gnocchi with pesto and gnocchi carbonara were very good. Would have been excellent if the gnocchi had been just a little bit lighter. Salad nicoise was a nice portion, good balsamic dressing, nice assortment of vegetables. The real winner was the pizza -- large slices of eggplant, zucchini, red pepper and artichoke hearts artfully laid out on a delicious crispy crust. Mushrooms as well, although they were not listed on the menu. We joked a bit with the waiter, as my husband asked for extra ice for his Coke. He came back with a large bowl of crushed ice and spooned it into his glass with a teaspoon. We enjoyed using our rusty French with him, although he spoke perfectly good English. Very affordable, especially for such a touristy area. Recommended.

I had dinner at this lovely restaurant. It's a very touristy place and it's perfect. The pricing here is really good. The quality of the pizza in this restaurant is average. I would rate it a 6/7-10. It's really fresh though.

Visited mid November, stopped in before we caught the bus back to Nice. Had the goat cheese salad, Good but the dressing was a little too mustardy for me. Hubby had the vegetable soup. My service was fine, but they are not busy. Had free Wi-Fi, which was a major plus for us.

They gave us a good seat upfront by the rail. We actually could have moved even closer towards the ocean, but were just too tired after the hike. My wife got a coke and I got a glass of wine. They gave us some snacks, see pictures. Limited foods in the bar seating area. We had to go downstairs to get the Michelin Star food. But we were just not that hungry, so we passed on lunch. We did watch the people below us eat. :) Beautiful plating and entrees, my pictures will not do it justice. Ambiance - Beautiful views. Both indoors and outdoors. Indoors had beautiful upscale decor. Clean restrooms with two outside sinks, thank you. Service - So professional and welcoming, not just to us but everyone here. We watched the team take care of all the customers that were coming in and out. Price - 23 Euros. $27US. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 2003.

Service was excellent and everyone was extremely polite. They started us off with an amuse bouche which was a delicious spoonful of a very light and airy cream with a jelly on top and lightly cooked celery to add some crunch. An amazing bite! I had the codfish which was overall pretty good. Many different sauces and complex flavors to go together (maybe too many??) The persimmon dessert was also quite good. Some ice cream that was extremely light and not too sweet and a creamy cake to go with it. All in all, an enjoyable lunch with a great view

I stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant, which has an unobstructed view of the Mediterranean, during a lunch walk with my colleague from our office and so of course I had to take Nicole. It's one of those places that you can't resist walking by and saying wow. Well not only was the view great but the food was exquisite. The location of the restaurant is tricky. It is situated near the eastern boarder of Monaco but on French soil. You'll find it less than 1.5 miles west of Monaco on the Path called the Sentier du Littoral, which is an ocean side trail that runs all the way to Italy. It's not easy to find but once you do, you'll see placards of it (see picture). I would take a cab or walk from Monaco. Most of the roads leading to it are blocked. We ordered a bottle of Côte du Rhone red and sparkling water. The red was much like a Pino Noir, not too light and not too heavy. As an appetizer we shared their fried calamari. Stupendously delicious! The breading on the squid was prefect and if you are a calamari lover then you'll love some of the long tentacles they had. Tasted like the essence of ocean. Sitting among a garden of palms and different planted flowers with a seaside view, for the main course we ordered Mediterranean Sea Bass which came with sautéed medley of vegetables including peppers, olives, tomatoes, and zucchini, and fried gnocchi cubes. Nicole pointed out that the olives along the Mediterranean are much milder in flavor than in the US and are much more palatable and agreeable. The Mediterranean sea bass, not to be confused with a Chilean Sea Bass, had the consistency of trout without the gamey flavor, was presented to us twice: first, right after it had been prepared but not filleted on a beautiful serving tray; it was presented again on a dinning plate for dinner. Evidently, the presentation is a matter of equal importance as the service at La Difference, and it showed! At a table next to us were seated a nice couple from Russia and Turkey whom we discussed everything from our working vacation to our gastronomic adventures. They also had the sea bass and commented it was served a bit dryer than they were used to in Turkey, which also boarders the Mediterranean and has access to the same fish. Wonderfully sated, we retraced the steps I had taken back along the shore to the Monte Carlo Bay Casino on this nearly full moon night. It was a great night.

La Trinquette's owner actively supports local folk and jazz bands and strives to give them wider visibility. And oh yeah, the food. I love their mussels (Moules) and thought I would never order anything else on the menu. During our last visit the server encouraged my wife and I to try their signature dish, the whole fish. Although I could not understand her description in French I could see her enthusiasm for this dish, and enthusiasm does not require a translation! So we both ordered the whole fish. I'm originally from Seattle and now live in San Diego so I've eaten quite a bit of seafood. Honest folks my wife and I rated this as our favorite fish dinner, ever! Lastly, La Trinquette sits quietly, somewhat undiscovered alongside Villefranche marina. The main tourist zone and train station are east of the castle. La Trinquette is just west of the castle. Although easy walking distance most tourists don't venture past the castle. Better for me as I can dine with the locals!
