This is a hidden gem tucked away in an alley in Old Town Nice. This area has many restaurants but this was truly the best pasta of my life. The truffle cream sauce was unforgettable. I sat outside with my husband and we shared a bottle on the perfect night. The service was wonderful as well.

Simply delicious! We had been in Nice for three days, and hadn't had any Italian food. Someone mentioned that Nice was more like Italy than France and we must try pizza and pasta. Naturally when some says that, you immediately start craving those things. ;) Luckily, the timing of our hunger and willingness to settle on a place all party members agreed on, landed us here. This place was so good! Not to mention, the service was outstanding. They spoke English and were very patient with us. I had the classic pasta with shellfish. I had never had this dish before in my life, but wanted to try it while in Nice and it's now easily one of my favorite dishes ever. My fiancé had the Gnocchi with 5 cheeses and that was equally good!! We will be going back tomorrow!!

Delicious eggplant dish. Perfectly cooked--this chef knows how to do vegetables

Pretty mediocre food for high price. Had eggplant daily special and 5 cheese gnocchi and both were bland.

Awesome Italian restaurant tucked away in Nice. Do not go past the Truffle cream Ravioli. Amazing! Thanks for having us Carpe crew.

Ordered two times food from them with Delivero service. Not good, not even eatable. The food was not fresh.

We sat outside on the covered and insulated patio. They also had heat lamps, so it felt ok in February outside. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. My husband ordered the seafood spaghetti which had a light red sauce and seafood including mussels. He really enjoyed it. I had the lightly fried seafood plate. Check my picture for what's on it. The shrimp was slightly over done but still good. The fish and calamari were breaded and seasoned well. I've never had fried sardines (whole body included; I've only had canned sardines in the past) so I wasn't prepared to eat these. I tried it but it wasn't my preference. The salad was nice and fresh. We also enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine. La Voglia was quick and affordable but good.

We ordered the mixed vegetables platter, bread and a side salad to start as well as drinks. Bread was good as was the mixed vegetables. We then ordered seafood pasta which came with various seafood. Very tasty. Our new friends ordered lasagna, rotini with meat sauce and a salad pizza. They said it was great. Service a bit slow but you in France! Nice outdoor ambiance. Better that the ratings.

The only decent dish we had was the pizza, and it wasn't even great. There was a string baked into our bread as well. Service did not match any of the other restaurants around and was not friendly. Don't waste your time with this place. It's just filled with American tourists.

Came here for dinner while visiting Nice. First off - this is not really an ~authentic~ Italian…read morerestaurant. The restaurant opens at 7pm for dinner and there was a line formed when we arrived around 7:20, very interesting experience for Europe. Living in the US, this restaurant reminds me of a lot of new restaurant group restaurants that just kind of have a system in place. Again, not a bad thing, but not your place if you are looking for something that feels like classic Italy. The portions here are huge, which they are known for. Note that the menu states each person must order an entree, which seems to discourage sharing (since they literally bring you an entire pan). I got the seafood pasta with shrimp and clams in a fresh tomato sauce and my friend got the lasagna. Both were really good dishes and huge portions. We both had a full meal of leftovers for the next day. Not anything I can't get at a good Italian restaurant in the US, but good food. The espresso martini was a good one though!! I think my 3 stars are more about the overall experience here. The food I would give a 4.
