The line moved quickly and we were able to grab our food and walk out in a decent amount of time. The croissants were delicious as was the sandwich. The bread on the sandwich was a bit hard, but other than the the meat inside was delicious. My only complaint would be the coffee. I understand that there is mostly milk in a cafe a laut, it this was a bit ridiculous as 75% of my cup was essentially milk foam. Would go again for bread, maybe not for coffee. It also seemed like they had a delicious array of quiche and desserts that I'd like to try!

Its owner, pastry chef Yong Song Seo has won some awards and recognitions for his butter croissant (which is superbly flaky btw!) but Mille et Un seems to be really known for the smooth black sesame flan and madeleines that patrons seem to go nuts for - those two items are very much that fusion of Korean and French tastes that this particular boulangerie is known for. And honestly, we went nuts over those items too. Also surprising was how the modest looking exterior or Mille et Un belies a relatively spacious and modern looking interior for a Parisian boulongerie. Also pretty darn good were the lattes I got almost every morning and prices that didn't break the bank! Overall, Mille et Un is a delight that will provide you with tasty delights in a not so visited District 6 of Paris. But perhaps this is your reason to come!

Phenomenal croissants - Quick service - Baked to perfection…read more As the first of many stops in the local bakeries, I think this is by far one of the best! We walked through the neighborhood in search of our first French croissant, it was a special moment that we will always remember. We got a croissant that was baked exquisitely. Heavenly crispy and buttery, as well as a banana + chocolate croissant, and a fresh and very tasty berry filled pastry. We needed chicken and ham sandwiches for the train....also did not fall short to the taste buds. Not a single bite disappointed, these are made tried and true. Make it a point to come here, you will not regret it!

Even though it was later in the afternoon, the tarts still looked delicious and tasted pretty fresh. The fruits were super sweet, the cream was relatively light, and the whole thing was so yummy! Took off a star though because there was a dead fly in the middle of the strawberry tart. But I just picked it off and kept eating the tart.

But, it was recommended, nearby, and I figured we were in Paris where it began. Maybe because we had the chain in NY, or because it was our last day, was a big disappointment compared to any other on our visit. Croissant, cafe, Ok. The look, feel and taste of it all was mass- produced chain food, with nothing special about it. Customer service was absent considering it was Tuesday morning and everyone else was on their way to work, more concerned about speed and convenience. It was our only "cookie cutter" experience while in Paris and now we know. If you're a visitor, my guidance is seek out a local cafe, and avoid the chains.
