Pricy, but unique experience.
Me and my friends got to the Hyatt at Herald Square about 45minutes before when the dinner officially started. There is a little waiting area at the back of the lobby with a bar, so we sat and had drinks. Once it is time a chef comes out and checks everyone inside. There is a coat check, so you can be comfortable during winter, as the room you are ushered in is small. There are only x2 4-person tables and x5 2-person tables. Everyone is spaced out enough to have privacy though, so it wasn't that bad.
On every table there is a projector, and once the dinner begins it projects a little chef walking around your plate preparing your meal. It is quite entertaining. At the end of each "show" the servers bring out a plate with the actual food. There is a "chef" that talks you through the whole experience, although it is more like an actor acting out a scripted performance. Again, quite entertaining.
The food is DELICIOUS. It definitely exceeded my and my friends expectations. I never wanted the dinner to end. There was 5 courses, and every one was better then the last. I would say it was worth the money. read more
