Le Jardin Cafe, a coffee shop in Wallingford, CT sharing space with a boutique on North Main Street. They serve a variety of drinks, a breakfast menu all day and lunch items with friend and efficient service staff. I had scheduled time nearby and needed breakfast before I started my day. Le Jardin was close to that location and I've always wanted to check the place out. I ordered myself a matcha latte with a mornin' burrito. I was handed a table card so they can find me easily when my order was ready. The first bite into that burrito was definitely what my stomach ordered. The wrap was nicely toasted with a beautiful crunch on that first bite. The burrito is filled with scrambled eggs, cubed potatoes, cheese and bacon. The cheese was melted exactly so. I would've liked extra, something to note for next time. it was delicious! Thank you! I didn't care too much for the matcha latte. It tasted fairly light, perhaps because of the type of milk. I was a bit disappointed that it came in a paper cup. There's nothing like an experience of food while real wares. No matter, I enjoyed the food and it was easy to take the drink to go.

Le Jardin Cafe looks to be a government building from just passing by. I don't recall previously seeing a coffee shop with such a substantial amount of land, certainly not around Connecticut. The inside is actually two businesses, on the left is the cafe and on the right is a boutique. The inside is so lovely and inviting, the space is well lit and bright with flowers hanging off the windows and off the chandeliers. Each table had a fresh little bunch of flowers. There was a talented young man on a guitar, entertaining the guests. Their menu features an assortment of coffee drinks and tea. For food they have, brunch, breakfast and dessert options. On this occasion we just got coffees. I got the Reese's Mocha. Others got hot chocolate. This mocha was pricey at over $8.00. When I made my order I told the barista I wanted it for "here". It took around 20 minutes for the coffee to be ready. I was let down that it arrived in a generic to go cup. This place is so elegant and it ruins the vibe a bit that they don't offer ceramic cups. The Reese's Mocha tasted just like biting into a Reese's Cup. It smelled like peanut butter and chocolate and tasted just like it too. This is a cup of cozy! I would love to get avocado toast next time.

Very cute spot for lunch or brunch! All kinds of coffee offerings & great breakfast menu! We got there around lunchtime & tried their burger which along with the fries was truly yummy! I had a drink that was a refreshing spritzer & my mom had a coffee drink with lavender flavoring. Very but spot!

Le Jardin checks all of the boxes for aesthetics, delicious food, fun seasonal drinks, and a great location! My husband and I had a nice start to our Sunday here, where we split their breakfast burrito and strawberry banana Nutella crepes. I had the snickers hot chocolate and he had the warm caramel apple cider, both of which were so good, but we also couldn't resist ordering the pumpkin spice latte because it's in a real pumpkin! It tasted as great as it looked, and they were great about pouring it in a cup for us to take home after! Friendly staff with everything arrived to the table in a timely manner. We'll definitely be adding this to our brunch rotation!

I arrived last Sunday around 10am to meet a friend for brunch. There was plenty of seating available. When you enter, you order and pay at the counter. You're given a number to place at your table, then your drink and/food order is brought to you. I ordered the Mornin' Burrito because I was a little hungrier. It was huge! At first, I thought that I'd be able to finish it, but I ended up only eating half of it, and boxing up the other half. It was filled with scrambled egg, crispy chicken, cheddar and potatoes. It comes with a shot of hot honey. The café is really pretty with lots of natural sunlight coming in. It shares a space with a boutique, but it's large, so it doesn't feel cramped. There is a public lot in the back for parking. They have all day breakfast and a lunch menu, in addition to muffins and other desserts. There is also a specialty coffee menu. Recommended!

Candy Cane Crush--what can I say? It's the most festive drink to have this season! Not only is it beautifully presented, but it tastes like a snowy day waiting for Christmas to arrive. Le Jardin's holiday drink menu is packed with must-try options that perfectly capture the magic of the season. I wasn't too hungry when I went, so I settled for a raspberry and pistachio macaron--light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The café has such a cozy vibe, perfect for a solo date or catching up with a friend while in the center. I can't wait to go back and try more of their flavors! Plus, they offer gluten-free sweets and bread options if you're in the mood for a sandwich. Truly a spot worth visiting.

Adorable & affordable!! 10/10 Le Jardin was fabulous! Vibes were high and the service was great! And not to forget, they have the cutest boutique located in the building- huge win!! I got a cappuccino, a cinnamon roll and even a little shopping in. I'll definitely be back soon!

Garden Pesto

This is a very cute cafe to stop by for breakfast or lunch. I recently had lunch with friends and ordered the Garden Pesto with a seasonal latte - I can't remember the name. The sandwich was really tasty, smaller than what I expected but perfectly sized considering the amount of fries served. I really enjoyed my drink, it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be which was perfect - I believe it had cookie butter flavoring and the addition of caramel popcorn made it extra fun!

Garden Bowl with tomato jam. A bowl of happiness!

We go to different restaurants for breakfast reviewing who has the best which also includes atmosphere and congeniality not just the food. Le Jardin Cafe checks off all the boxes. Lovely atmosphere, great food, ect. Their coffee selection is amazing. They have more than just the usual type of coffees.. I had the breakfast bowl. A fusion of different types of flavor the tomato jam was excellent. Highly recommend this little gem of a place.

Garden bowl and breakfast burrito

Honestly the food was pretty good overall. We got the garden bowl, breakfast burrito and a side of fries. I did find an entire clove of garlic in my bowl which was a little off putting, but the flavors and quality of the food were above average in my opinion. The star subtractions come from 1) having to wait for nearly 30 min for our food, 2) not enough staff working to clean tables resulting at us having to sit at a dirty table, and 3) asking for no bacon sub avocado on the burrito but still being charged $2 for avocado (apparently they can't "sub" items on the register and were very unwilling to work with us to make this happen which seems ridiculous to me).

Le Jardin is a cozy cafe that serves a breakfast sandwich and burrito, belgian waffles, assortment of bakery items, muffins, danishes, gourmet cakes, cookies, brownies, specially coffees, panini sandwiches, salads, and wraps. I ordered an egg, cheese sausage sandwich on a hard roll, and a coffee. Service was quick, and friendly. The ambiance and decor is beautiful, and gives it an upscale look, but the cafe lacks table service. There is also a section that is a boutique selling jewelry, clothing, and accessories.

Le Jardin bridges both shopping and sipping! The space is so spacious for gatherings and events. It is bright, open and lots of seating is available to work at. Each time I have been there it is nice and quiet to work at. Their BRAND NEW menu just launched with so many delicious offerings crafted by their lead chef Kelsea. Pictured are some of them: The Cherry Blossom Latte, Oat Cinnamon Dolce Latte & their Jardin Lemonade. For food: The Garden Sunrise (w/green goddess cream cheese), Sweety Bloom (nutella banana), and the Botanical Belgian (waffles with lavender whip). Key Features: Parking on the main street and side lots. A large variety of different types of seating options. Milk alternatives, large menu to choose from. Catering available too!

Super cute cafe in downtown Wallingford. Lots of seating available. Everything is reasonably priced. I got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and an iced latte. Both were good, and would get again.

Cappuccino, Iced oat cinnamon latte and pistachio cake!

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. Overall, I would really recommend this place if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch in Wallingford!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.

Crossroads Coffee in North Haven is one of those rare gems that reminds you what community-driven…read morebusiness really looks like. The owner is absolutely incredible -- talented, dedicated, and genuinely one of the most hardworking people in this industry. She opened her café during COVID at a young age and built it from the ground up through pure passion, grit, and love for her community. That alone deserves recognition. The selection is always thoughtful and creative, and the specials are phenomenal. She makes all her syrups by hand and sources gluten-free items in-house, which takes so much time and intention but shows how deeply she cares about quality and inclusivity. You can taste the effort in every single drink. Crossroads is a place built on heart, and the coffee community is extremely proud of her. She does not get enough credit for everything she's accomplished and everything she continues to pour into her space. If you want to support a café run by a genuine human being who truly loves what she does, this is the place. Highly recommended -- not just for the coffee, but for the person behind it.

Recently obsessed with this local coffee joint. Been spending the week in North Haven checking out…read moresome spots. Super cozy place, eco friendly with some of the best coffee/matcha. Friendly service at the counter, few tables inside to lounge at. My wife and I frequent the Last Drop in Monroe and this is ultra comparable. Very good pricing and kudos to them for using and making homemade syrups! I am a matcha guy so I get an iced matcha latte with vanilla cream cold brew. My wife has had the special Cherry Cold Brew which sells out quick and some lattes with cinnamon brown sugar, fantastic. I vow to get there early enough one of these days to try their blueberry muffins, always sells out quick. They have a host of other pastries as well, you are missing out if you don't try this place.
