I purchased two air fresheners for $10 each--the rose and lavender smell potent, which is perfect for my car. I look forward to using them! I've had a great experience at One Candle Story store in Glendale, CA, where all my ideas were properly addressed and I was able to find the perfect gifts for my friends. The owner of the store helped me chose matching personalized candles and other items and created nice arrangements with cute packaging within minutes. This is a family-owned small business and the store was clean and calm. What I love is that their candles are being prepared from natural ingredients and they also ship within the U.S. Everything made for the customers' comfort. Will definitely shop here again.

Today the door was open and I stepped in, and I am so glad I did. What a sweet find this place is! Sometimes shops like these can be overwhelming to me; however, there is nothing pretentious about One Candle Story. They make all their candles right there, you can see some of 'behind the scenes' right there in the front room, the candles and gems are really well priced, and most of all, Susan and her husband (the owners, I presume) were so pleasant and delightful, and very helpful. Suddenly, I do a google search and realize that Pan's Apothika (the spiritual successor to Pan Pipes) is literally a block and a half from where I live! This occult store has a very punk-witchy aesthetic with a hand-painted icon of Hekate, a statue of Baphomet and pentagrams formed with twigs and ribbon. It has all the staples of an esoteric store, so you can easily find candles, incense and crystals, along with jewelry, pins, stickers and patches. The clerk on duty was kind and willing to assist. In my case, I was just looking for some basics, but Pan's Apothika offers other services of the occult persuasion. And prices are actually extremely reasonable So give this place some love.

Food area doesn't carry coffee any more, unless it's hidden? Really the most stable aspect to our visit was the restaurant area! I had the tried and true meatballs and they, the mashed potatos and vegetables were good, the side salad was fresh and also good, my dining partner had their chicken plate and said it was quite good, their coffee is also excelllent, consistantly, part of the reason we were disappointed they no longer sell it bagged in the food area. The restaurant has very reasonable prices still, if the drive wasn't so far it would be worth returning just for a light meal. We also noticed not many store personnel on the floor, trying to find things is a bit of a drain. I hope they are able to stay in business, I don't know if it is in part due to asinine tariffs and wage increases, what ever, the place is not well stocked as in it's hay day. We have lost so many long term businesses in the area. Very troubling. I'm rooting for them to get through this! Btw, will likely order the carpet on line, as it seems to be available there. Support them with at least an economical meal, maybe something will jump out at you.

She was incredibly racist and out of line. She showed no grace with me it was completely unprofessional. But do yourself a favor and expect to be harassed at check out and then tell you something about how they have Philippino family so "don't go there with me". I asked about why I was being treated a certain way and why this person was not helping out any other customers. Jason and Elvira are kind and helpful managers, thankful they have a protocol for these awful incidents. Most of the other employees that work here are kind and helpful, but unfortunately Karen is 100% not one of them. Karen: older woman, white, claims to not be knowledgeable with the ikea app.
