Popped in for a quick girl lunch while waiting on an appt. The espresso martini was made properly, dark and not too sweet. The bread service was right on time because I was absolutely starving when I entered. The shrimp cocktail wasn't my favorite, but I have had worse - it did the trick. I loved the decor in this space. I really enjoyed this place. While visiting my daughter, she suggested stopping here for a quick bite to eat and a cocktail. She comes here often and likes it so I was excited to try it. We came at a great time of the day-Friday 2pm because it was mostly empty. We got a table right away outside and our waitress was very nice and quick. There were a lot of bees outside that swarmed around our food but were harmless. The waitress came by a few times and asked if we wanted to move to avoid the bees but we stayed at our original table. The food was good-truffle fries and caprese salad and the cucumber martini was delicious and pretty!! Le District is one of those places where if you reserve in advance and time things right, it'll be the perfect all around dinner experience. I chose to visit Le District after a work meeting in FiDi. I didn't want to fight through Manhattan, Queens and Long Island traffic for 2+ hours. So if I figured I'd let traffic pass while having a calm sunset dinner. I'm so glad I did! Unfortunately, I didn't have a reservation, but I got there just before the dinner rush started. So although I had to wait a little bit for an outside table, I wasn't waiting excessively long. I was perfectly happy grabbing a frozen drink at the bar while I waited. Note: The restaurants outdoor tables are perfectly situated to watch the sun set over the NJ skyline and the Hudson River. Add in a little Manhattan People-watching and you can't really beat the view! Now, as far as dinner went, I had a glass of white wine with their branzino, with some risotto on the side. I can't exactly remember which white wine I had but it was crisp, cool and a little dry, just the way I like it. I wasn't a big fan of their risotto. I can't put my finger on why, but I would go with another side if I went again. In any case, the bar staff was super chill and the waitstaff was efficient. That sunset view was gorgeous and lowered my heart rate enough for me to be up for the challenge of driving through whatever was left of Manhattan Rush hour traffic. Try the place out. Indoor company Happy Hour. Bare bones space with small bites and very good wine. Standing room only. I've been here for coffee several times. It is located in Brookfield/Fidi. It was an internal event so we didn't mix with outsiders. Could have easily sat outdoors but given the heatwave, it was a hard no. Personally, I would have preferred being outside. This is a really nice spot for al fresco dining along the Hudson River, near Brookfield Place. They serve excellent cocktails (right now, they have a Honey Deuce - vodka, Chambord, lemonade in a US Open glass that's yours to keep!) and a great brunch on the weekends. We had the brioche French toast (cooked to a delicious slightly crispy finish) and eggs Benedict (their homemade Hollandaise sauce is amazing). We were seated quickly outside and out waitress was friendly and very efficient. She checked on us a couple of times during the meal, which is sometimes rare when a place gets busy. The views of the Hudson on a sunny, warm day were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. This was our third visit there, and we will keep coming back! read more

Tucked away inside Brookfield Place is this mini French food hall with great treats and food options. I had the chance to visit a year or so ago and the service was just as good this time around but unfortunately the market had about half the offerings it previously had. Came here because it looked like a nice place to have lunch by the river. I got sat quickly but wasn't greeted by anyone for almost 10 mins. But once I did my server was very nice. I had a delicious cocktail and ordered an app. I've had this type of app before with the battered shrimp in a creamy aioli type of sauce, but I did like the pickled onion component on top but didn't love the nuts in it. Had a great experience recently when entertaining out of town guests. Pastries were great, staff was ok and professional, cost was higher than expected IM, but not shocking given the location. We ordered a regular croissant, pan chocolat, macaroon and a coffee. Le Bistrot is a far departure of the restaurant that used to be there years ago. Service was fine, the tuna tartare was good, the one comment I have is dont put steak in your menu if you dont know how to cook it. I asked for medium rare and the first one came medium well- pushing medium. The second one was practically blue, super rare, no choice but to eat it. Came here for a light snack and some drinks on a Friday afternoon. The best part was the excellent view the outdoor tables have: you see the Hudson, as well as a great place to people and dog-watch! We tried the walnut and goat cheese salad, the kale caesar salad, tuna tartare and eggplant parmigiana. The salads were very good: dressed lightly which I like and very fresh ingredients. Portions are well sized as well. The tuna tartare was too soy sauce forward, which took away from the delicacy of the tuna. They also had a good wine list by the glass. The view is great , it's a great place to people watch and there are so many activities happening in downtown especially in the afternoon being so close to the ferry , Brookfield place . I only got to have drinks and not try the food but would like to come another time to do so . The venue is definitely stunning and worth a visit for a glass of wine/drink. Could skip the food frankly. None of the dishes quite pulled together and the one dish we ended up liking was the Branzino. However, the first time it came out - it was really really fishy. When they'd replaced it, the was fresh, skin was crunchy and the salsa accompaniment was wonderful. Our waiter ended up arguing with us about the coffee order at the end. We had asked for 1 decaf & 1 double espresso. He sent over 2 decaf espressos. Rather than just replacing the order, he went on to correct us multiple times. I love this place. It is one of my top spots to visit when I visit Brookfield. It immediately gives you a quaint French vibe as you enter. You are surrounded by wonderful treats, a coffee bar, and a large back room to dine in. I have come here several times to order a cup of coffee or pick up a box of pastries when I am craving something sweet. On the other side is a large dining area with outdoor seating. This is a personal favorite in the summertime. You are facing the water and have a wonderful view of Jersey City. The crowd is mostly young professionals stopping by after work for dinner and drinks. If you love outdoor dining you can't go wrong here. I like stopping by here whenever I am around. They offer a decent cup of coffee before I walk around to the park nearby. Awful sales and event experience! Totally unprofessional with no responses to multiple phone calls, emails. I will not be trying to host anything there in the future. I recently tried to plan a work event on their patio. I emailed the venue for a quote and began corresponding with their sales manager, Alex. It all seemed great, within budget and they said they had availability for my date/time. I wanted to do a quick onsite tour just to make sure there was coverage in case of rain. I emailed Alex to ask if I could come by the following morning at 10AM to do a quick visit. Alex replied with a one word answer "YES" I showed up the next morning at 10am. Nobody was at the restaurant, nobody answers their phones and Alex wasn't responding to emails. A complete waste of my time. However I was willing to continue to try and confirm my event as the location was convenient and I was short on time. My event was planned for a few days later the following week. I finally connect with Alex, who claimed they weren't aware I was coming (I literally emailed and said 'can I come down in the morning to do a quick site visit @ 10am' and they replied YES.) I wanted to try and give the benefit of the doubt so I signed the event agreement and put down the credit card to confirm our event. Then a few hours later I get another email from Alex telling me sorry, they overbooked and cannot host the event and will be canceling my deposit. This was literally a day and a half before my event was scheduled. I called, I emailed multiple times asking to speak to the GM with no responses. I really don't like leaving negative reviews but this business really showed zero integrity or customer service in this entire process. My only recourse is to let others know, I would think twice about trying to plan anything there. It seems to be very unprofessional and uncaring about the customer's experience and time. Seems like they are trying to make LE DISTRICT into a french version of EATALY. This place is insanely large with several places (Markets and areas) for man work functions. It seems this place was built for post work happy hours for the Banker bros from Goldman especially and Citi to enjoy. Burgers constantly came out cold but the meat was good. Came here because I was craving for escargot and this place made me smile. The waitress was super friendly. They took my temperature and asked me to leave my info for COVID tracing purposes since I had to sit inside, which I'm glad to do. I'll definitely come back and dress warmer so I can sit outside. Another great experience at Le District. This time, we had happy hour oysters at the bar for $1 each, and a mushroom pasta and beet salad. The oysters are so fresh and delicious. At $1 each, a bargain! The mushroom pasta is very flavorful, full of different kinds of mushrooms, with a cheese and black pepper sauce. As for the salad, I enjoyed the beets with candied nuts and goat cheese. I signed up for the royalty card but the associates had to enter this long number by hand instead of scanning it.
