The art on the wall is painted by the lovely bartender, the open mic is ran by a friendly and talented musician, the decor is homely and nice, the Rock and roll was ridiculously awesome! Apparently they have an open stage or an open mic on nearly every night of the week which is fantastic. There is a pool table if great live music isn't your thing and you can also admire all the art pieces on the wall. Really glad I went there.

The weather was beautiful for a bit but then turned a complete 180. Huge rainstorm so we had to run inside to keep dry. The menu is small and generic; appetizers, burgers, house plates, salads and desserts. They had a few daily specials. Tuesday tequila and tacos ($3.00) sounds like a fun night. - Berry breeze sangria ($29.00 pitcher) - raspberry vodka, strawberry nectar, grapefruit, cranberry, orange, berries & lemon and red wine. Honestly, I've never been impressed with any sangria's I've had when going out. This was okay but way too icy. A fun place to people watch outside and grab a drink.

But NO, they are both adults. lol). We had to go for lunch IMMEDIATELY. And our go-to place Pigeon, was totally full. I asked the hostess/manager of Pigeon what other place nearby she'd recommend, and she mentioned Local75 right away. So off we went. It was a humid day so we opted to sit on the enclosed patio, as the restaurant itself was aggressively air conditioned (for me, anyhow), plus it was dimly lit inside (probably great for the evenings, but didn't feel right on a sunny summer day at noon). We were seated right away and our server couldn't have been nicer. The menu was perfect for lunch: there were a lot of salad and sandwich choices, lots of burgers and chicken wing choices, and more. We chose two BLT's and a plate of 6 chicken wings with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious. I love how my Diet Coke came in a frosted Mason jar, and I love how the server gave us each a wrapped moistened towelette for our hands (a rarity nowadays - but so needed when eating chicken wings!). One issue of note: the server, who was lovely, was the only server working while we were there. I'm unsure how many people were in the kitchen, too, as it took quite a long time for our food to come out. We had a great lunch here and would definitely return.

WARNING: COVID-19 Denial / Anti-Vaxx / Anti-Mask ALERT…read more Okay, so today is Thursday 30th December 2021, and we are at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic ... like it's never been worse than it is now. We've got almost 14,000 official new cases in Quebec today alone and the positivity rate is hovering above 30% ... the Island of Montreal is pretty much one entire hot zone. I am the primary caregiver for my 95 year old grandmother so I am exercising a high degree of caution and I am strictly adhering to the recommended public health measures and safety protocols that are in place. I am also friends with a few frontline healthcare workers so I know how extremely difficult the last 21 months have been for my doctor and nurse friends. I usually love Honeys but today I walked past the pub and they've got a chalkboard in the window (photo below) with some sanctimonious COVID denial propaganda. This is disappointing. The healthcare system is crumbling and rates of infections are skyrocketing and these folks cannot think beyond the tip of their noses. This is a paramount example of the selfish, deluded and idiotic behaviour and notions that have crippled our society. This is why the end of this pandemic has eluded us. We are all in this together -- Ça va bien aller Get vaccinated, get your booster shot, wear your N95 mask, maintain a physical distance of 2 metres, reduce your contacts to one household bubble and hopefully this will all be over sooner than later.

The first time, the music was extremely loud, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. The bar was completely packed, and there was only one bartender making drinks, so the wait was a bit longer than expected. We decided to give it another try, and I'm so glad we did. The second visit was amazing! The bartender working that night was incredible--she clearly knows her craft and made our drinks quickly without sacrificing quality. Every cocktail was delicious, and the overall experience was much more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend The Coldroom. My only suggestion would be that, with a space that busy, the bar could really benefit from having an additional bartender during peak hours. It would help keep wait times down and make an already great experience even better.

This small-ish, cozy café/resto/bar in NDG serves both lunch and dinner and while the aesthetic and ambiance can seem quite lowkey and unassuming, the quality of the food is absolutely highkey, menu is well thought out & reflects fresh seasonal ingredients and above all, incredibly delicious! (Chef is from Manu Cornuto). They have great selection of natural wines (my fave) and they carry a lot of Dieu du vin wines (another fave local wine company). We ordered a bottle of wine for the evening but the bartender is the mixologist from Cloakroom so I can't wait to return and try their cocktails as well. It is a tapas menu made to share but the portions were surprisingly quite generous and we ordered 3 'appetizers', 1 'main' and a dessert between the two of us. The beef tartare and the bitter lettuce salad were both amazing (and I was too hungry to take a photo of these dishes). The grilled cauliflower with mornay sauce alongside the braised rabbit was also to die for. I am not usually a dessert gal but I was very grateful that we tried their dessert of the day as it was so good! Based on reading the menu and their story, I knew I was going to like this place but I can't wait to bring more of my friends here. It is worth mentioning that I thought the pricing here is quite fair for what you get, especially seeing as many restos upped their prices significantly post-pandemic. It could also be that they have 25% off all wine and cocktails on Sundays and we came on a Sunday (it was a very nice surprise ). Overall: 5 Food: 5 Service: 5 Value: 5 Ambiance/Atmosphere: 3.8

Entre-Deux is a great choice for an intimate dinner without breaking the bank but some things…read morecould've made the experience better. To start, the vibes right when you walk in are impeccable. The restaurant is dimly lit with candles and the bar is warm and welcoming. The service is personable and the waiter made great recommendations. The duck breast was the star of the show with the crispy layer of skin and well seasoned tender meat. The mushroom conserva also earned its stars with a great combination of savory umami with a hint of spice. The deconstructed croque madam special was also decent. The trouble came with the cod which was very salty. We asked to send it back and our waiter was gracious enough to help us replace it with the agnolotti. While the agnolotti tasted great, we would've liked the sauce to be a little thicker so it would stick to the agnolotti. We had white wine to accompany our meal which helped tie the meal together. Overall, I would say Entre-Deux is a great meal that gets you full with a reasonable price tag. And 11/10 for vibes and service.
