We ordered the Campagna (spinach, tomato, basil, ricotta, mozza). It was a nice choice, lacking a bit in salt though, which might be preferable to some. Their crust is beautiful and thin. It's a perfect choice for a light lunch, or for a party, as they have amazing multi-pizza deals!

Food really connects people as it's…read moreabout bringing something into the body, and to eat the same food conveys that we are both willing to bring the same thing into our bodies. In fact, Oxford University research reveal that the more often people eat and connect with others, the more likely they are to feel happy and satisfied with their lives. The results demonstrates that people who eat socially are more likely to feel better about themselves and have a wider social network capable of providing social and emotional support to combat physical and mental illness. Despite the clear correlation between social eating and bonding, the study also reveals a third of the weekday evening meals are eaten alone due to hectic work and life schedules, over two-third of people have never shared a meal with a neighbour, and one in five questioned have not shared dinner with a close friend or family in more than six months at home, a cafe or in a restaurant. Well thank goodness for Gentile Pizza Parlour - named after the last name of the family that started and continues to run business since 1959 - yeah hat's right, three generations of Gentile Family that have been bringing people together with food. Guests get to enjoy a warm and comfortable family Italian eatery that is full of timeless recipes and traditions. Although the Westmout location was opened in 2016 it feels like it has been there forever, where you can see why regulars come back - they are greeted by their name and are treated as a member of the family. And that's exactly how we felt with Danny, our wonderful waiter, who patiently took our order, offered suggestions and was incredibly attentive all evening long. The food presentation was excellent and a few substitutions were allowed, which we appreciated very much. Pizzas are great, but maybe a little thin in the middle, weighed down by so many toppings. Nice selection of wines, with something to please everyone. We went with an Aligoté at $60 / bottle. Service was very, very attentive... perhaps overly attentive, with 3 different people checking on us, breaking up the conversation and whisking plates away that weren't entirely finished. We had to ask the servers to stop refilling our wine glasses, gave us a feeling of being rushed. And I know this is a personal pet peeve of mine, but servers please, can we stop asking diners " are we still working on this? " This question really ticks me off and makes me feel like a horse at a trough. I'm not at work, I'm trying to enjoy the meal you prepared for me at my own pace. Lastly, one of us did not enjoy the calamari... wondered if it was frozen as it had a fishy, not-fresh taste. I will say the server appreciated the feedback and removed this from the bill.

For the main, we ordered 3 different pizza: grilled vegetables, arugula pizza and margarita with extra toppings on each one. All were delicious and very satisfying. The terrasse was almost full but there were lots of bugs out so we opted to sit inside. Unfortunately, when we walked in, the manager (?) was yelling about something that happened earlier with a customer or employee and he did not tone it down once he realized I was inside. It was really awkward/unprofessional so we decided to eat on the terrasse. Our waiter was very nice. We received menus and water quickly. My friend ordered a salad with pear and goat cheese and I got a caesar salad and margherita pizza. Both salads were good. The portion for the caesar was perfect. The pizza was a bit burnt on the bottom and somehow soggy. I was pretty disappointed with it. I think I prefer the other locations over this one. Overall: 2.5/5
