As a person who absolutely loves Black Sesame and has tried many Black Sesame lattes, this one is my absolute favorite and has been for the past year! It's creamy, delicious, and full of small black sesame chunks. I will say it's on the sweeter side so if you prefer less sweet tell them. The quality of the coffee is also good. My boyfriend tried their Biscoff latte and really enjoyed. The ambiance is great. The inside of the shop is very cute and clean and the customer service was great too. Thanks for the amazing hospitality at the late hours. Parking on the street is challenging but there are plenty around the corner and on the Main Street. Very simple white background and minimalist feel. There are two sections : ice cream or the drinks. I opt for the ice cream matcha latte ice cream swirls. Reminds me of some of my childhood eats. $12 for the ice cream so it's a bit on the pricey side. Overall tasty and understand we were the last few individuals coming in for a sweet tooth. There's not a lot of parking in front of the store but across the street there may be some spots in the residential area. My husband is pretty sensitive to caffeine so when he found that this place serves decaf, he was pretty thrilled. I think he got the Pink Cloud Latte which came with expresso (decaf), condensed milk, their signature cream, milk and their blue flower pea tea. My husband really liked this drink. It wasn't very sweet and he downed it before we left the building. In fact, he was so impressed he bought their Royal Milk Tea to go (which he also enjoyed). I got their Flower Lemon & Apple tea which the barista told me was the less sweet of the three flower ade's. This was not only pretty but really good. It was just right in sweetness, and just the right amount of fizziness from the sparkling water. I liked this better than the Royal Milk Tea and would recommend this to anyone who doesn't know what to try. Customer service was excellent. I stopped in for the first time this weekend and was pleasantly surprised with a delicioussss black sesame cream honey latte [cold]--get it, trust. The barista was super sweet as well! It was a little strange that they were selling clothes and there was a lot of weird decorations in the front that just seemed kind of dirty and random. They really need to clean and declutter. Amazing Tasting Drinks! I came here on a Friday in the afternoon and there we a few people in the store. The store was very interesting; it was a combination ice cream/coffee/clothing shop. They don't have a dedicated lot, but you can find plenty of street parking and metered parking right in front. Keep in mind that this is a very busy street and depending on the time you go you will have to deal with typical Melrose traffic. The décor was personally not my taste. Between the paper mâché flowers stapled on the walls, the hanging clouds and random rainforest wall, there are many different themes in here and depending in your preference it could come off as tacky. I did think the wall was very well done and think that should be a main theme of the entire shop. The women working at the front was very helpful. I wanted to try the Honeycomb Latte but unfortunately by the afternoon they ran of the ingredients, so she suggested the Pink Cloud Latte and it was AMAZING! IT was such a beautiful presentable I didn't want to mix up the color layers, but I am so happy I did because the flavor was delicious. I am not a huge coffee fan and enjoy when it tastes good and sweet and this did the trick, the hint of blue flower tea was perfect. Prices are what you would expect. $5-8 dollars before tip and tax. But it's Melrose so that seems about right. Despite the décor and dirty floors, I would definitely come back! The drinks can fully stand on their own and I can't wit to try a few other options! I 100% recommend and you can also get a cut picture in front of the rain forest wall. Overall, 4/5 read more

I sauntered by on an overcast L.A. Sunday morning for my Elite Perk in honor of National Coffee Day coming up on 9/29. I did find easy metered street parking about a block and a half away. Thank goodness I had read some reviews before driving over - The Holy Roly ice cream sign is definitely what you notice first. The Le CIEL Pink sign is much smaller. The same owner runs both, along with some ladies boutique clothing in the front of the store. The staff was friendly and checked me in and assisted with my order. There are a few tables and plugs but it isn't a Starbucks type of place where you might hang out for hours. It was cute, in that millennial kind of way with lots of pink, flowers, neon and marble. I ordered the oft-mentioned Black Sesame Latte and was not disappointed. It's different without being weird. Tasty in a nutty way. I'd certainly come back to try their Honey Grain or Hojicha lattes. Came here earlier today with the bf. We were lucky and found parking right in front on a meter. If you know how Melrose is, you are well aware that parking is CRAY! Anyways it is like a two businesses in one type of ordeal in here. Holy roly ice cream is in the back part and le curl pink is right in front when you walk in. One thing i love is the decor. They make due with the space they have and i love that. They even have clothes!! Like a cute boutique aesthetic. So then, me and the Bf got a drink each. We wanted to support and not just come and get something free so we ordered a second drink. My bf got the Tiramisu Latte and I got the pink cloud latte. We both subbed the milk for almond milk. I truly loved my drink!! And my bf really loved his. His own drink was around $7 with tax and the milk substitution which is not bad. Parking wasn't too hard to find on one of the small side streets nearby. But it might be more difficult on the weekends. Their menu has so much variety and lots of interesting flavors that I've never heard of before. They really push for the esthetic of all their drinks. I ordered the black sesame cream latte and it was very delicious. They use real ground black sesame seed paste, milk of choice, espresso, and cream. It's probably the color of the black sesame and cream that deceived my eyes into tasting a little like cookies and cream. They do put a lot of ice in the drink so although yummy, it does not last very long. Only reason I take away .5 stars is that I personally don't think it's worth the $6. read more

I imagine good for dates or hangout spot. I wanted to come here because I am a sucker for cute coffee/boba places. The drinks here are unique and they have unique flavors. I had the Flower Bonbon which tastes like cotton candy with a hint of sparkling water to it. My favorite part to it is that the ice cubes come with edible flowers. It's great for a hot day. I also had the Salted Caramel Latte which was also really good. It has caffeine in it with a slight sweetness. The service is always good and the employee working in the front was very welcoming. They have a menu that claims the drinks are non-caffeinated, but that is untrue. I got the earl grey royal milk team with no boba. I am extremely sensitive and generally allergic to strong caffeine. I drank this drink several hours ago and I am still feeling super jittery, anxious and am now developing a migraine. The shop is also not that clean, I brought my dog and his feet were super dirty from walking on their ground inside. One of my photos you can see the ground. The drink tasted good, but I'm pretty upset that I was sold something inaccurate that is now jeopardizing my health. Food businesses have a responsibility by law to state what is in their products. This is why. Not everyone can just eat or drink anything. I really hope the managers take this into account and change their menu to reflect the truth. The ice cream was delicious, many different options to choose from and all creatively authentic flavors. I thought the presentation was also unique, they flatten the ice cream, roll it up and scoop it into your cup. The finished product looks like roses which I thought was cool!
