The service will allow you to spend time with your company for To a maximum time. Hubby chose this place for my birthday dinner and it was a perfect spot. We visited with our daughter. And they had the most comfortable and child friendly seating for us. Which helped us more to enjoy your meals and evening. Food: the dishes are unique and innovative. For our starter we shared a bread ( 3$) and crispy mushroom dish - it was crispy mushrooms and very thin and crisp potatoes served the bed of thick mushroom purée, with flavours of basil oil and smoked aroma! Delicious!!! It is must try dish. The buttered bread seemed to be grilled on a bbq grill and was delicious as well. For my mains I got Gnudi made from feta served on beetroot purée and warm melted goat cheese, it was pretty rich and filling. Hubby cancelled his mains and they did it without and fuss. So sweet of them. The portions are generous . Overall memorable experience!

However, our appetizers and entrees all came out at the same time which ruined the dining experience. I had the steak frites, wife had the duck. Both were medium temp which I guess I would expect since they were sous vide. However the frites were not very hot which was disappointing. Flavors of the foods were fine, just not impressed with the execution. When I go back to Montreal, I will try other places rather than go back to La Prunelle.

It's my favourite food experience in Montreal. The service is relaxed so expect to wait a while if you are coming for food. I've been here twice and blown away both times. They serve a unique my motor which is a mixture of cider and orange juice. I had the duck burger for dinner and we came back from brunch where I had their hangover platter which is basically everything. French toast, sausage, bacon, toast, crepes, eggs and ham. The ham is a show stopper. It's so delicious. And the duck burger. Well that was like having a religious experience. For only $15 you get a large portion of smoked duck with mushrooms and cheese on a hamburger bun. It's so juicy and flavourful. I can't do it justice here you just have to try it.

MA-Am-M Bolduc feels kind of like home?!…read more Flipping through the menu I just not sure what to order, choices too many choices. With a small establishment with 1 cook and a small kitchen, it does makes me wonder how could that be possible. Breakfast/Brunch with eggs, bacon, crepes and french toast ($11.99) is disappointing... a lot of food, a lot of carbs... everything is luke warm. It definitely taste like and look like something I made at home. Should I be excited? My Yelp friend's poutine and burger looks depressing... but at least it is specials for $7.95. BTW, I think he kind of like the maple syrup... when he started dipping my whole wheat toast in that... I guess he must still be hungry after he ate his food. At least the waiter is nice, the coffee is good and the hand made scrapbook menu is cute!

Coming from the states this would have been a very expensive experience. I really had a great time, though I would say don't expect to be in and out if you do the five course meal. Very cool vibe and aesthetic. We loved hanging out in this swanky environment for a quick bite…read more The service was kind of slow even though there were only 2 tables - ours and one other. That was annoying because we had to wait a long time to order for no reason. The menu is online and their website doesn't have an English option. Very inconvenient and not tourist friendly. Minus one star for an all around poor experience ordering. The host/waiter was drying glasses at the bar and kept blowing into them to get water droplets out so minus one star for that. So gross. The food came out separately even though we ordered at the same time and made it clear one dish was for one of us and one was for the other. That meant that one of us was eating while the other waited because the food was going to get cold. Minus another star for splitting the order by a full 10 minutes. This place has a lot of potential. The flavor of the nigiri was great, but the portion size was amuse-bouche and not tapas. To charge $15 for 1/2 oz of beef and 5 cents worth do rice is highway robbery. The shishito peppers were great, all 4 of them. Most of the dish is peas which are used as filler. Again, charging $15 for about $2 worth of ingredients is ridiculous ESPECIALLY since the flavor of that dish wasn't anything spectacular. If you want less expensive shishito peppers with better flavor AND a great view, head over to Terasse Nelligan. Bottom line, I wanted to love this place when I walked in, but left underwhelmed and feeling ripped off having spent $40 for two tapas plates.
