    Mimosa and Fruit Smoothie

I would say that I am a fan of this place. I only came here once for breakfast before Osheaga, but the location was beautiful. Their bathrooms are beautifully decorated and when you walk up the stairs to get to them you get this great view of the entire restaurant! I wanted to take a picture but I forgot my cell phone. For drinks we tried the Mimosa and the Fruit Smoothie (they only have one). I would get the fruit smoothie again it was amazing. The mimosa was good but kind of boring. I got the "l'assiette Café du Théâtre" and my friend got the Eggs Benedict. The plate that I tried is basically an assortment of different types of food - eggs, ham, bacon, beef, fruit, a ham and cheese sandwhich, and hashbrowns. It was pretty good. It wasn't crazy expensive but it's not a cheap breakfast place. Expect to pay around $30 per person. That being said the service was decent and the staff was helpful when we needed a translator or suggestions on what to eat. I was pretty full after. Their patio looks over the Brossard shopping centre. It's a very trendy spot in Montreal.

The Tartine with Avocado and smoked salmon was delicious! I definitely recommend it to those who have a huge craving for avocado&tomatoes because they sure do pile them. The Pain Perdu with Grilled cheese was amazing. It is the perfect combination for people who love salty breakfasts with a hint of sweetness. The food was great but the service needed improvement. It took a bit of time before we got greeted and set up to a table when there weren't many tables occupied. I would say that there was about 4 tables.

Amazing breakfast and coffee!!! That's all I can say.... because you just have come and try for yourself. Oh yeah service was great also. I'm just so happy right now

    Seen on the brunch menu.

We wanted to try the Tomahawk but it wasn't on the menu so we decided to do steak on another day. To drink we ordered the apple cider. The cider was delicious and very crispy like I was eating a Cortland apple. We were served crispy bread with herb butter. The bread was crispy like toast and the butter was soft. It came with a small jar of baby dill pickles. They had a good crunch! We started with the lobster bisque. This bisque was very tasty. We could taste the lobster and it was very light; not a heavy or overly creamy soup. Pooh ordered the seafood risotto and I took the Dijon chicken. Both dishes were amazing. Pooh really enjoyed his risotto. He likes the addition of zucchini to give it a little crunch . The seafood was cooked to perfection. My chicken was super tender. I could taste the Dijon mustard. The mashed potatoes were smooth and the green beans were crispy and cooked perfectly. Our server was very polite and checked on us regularly. He apologized for not getting the wine when our meal arrived. Our only complaint was the wine. Usually the wine arrives right before the meal but our meal arrived first and we ate slowly as we waited for the wine to come. The wine arrived five minutes later and the server explained that it wasn't cold enough to give us. By the time I finished eating (because we had to wait for the wine) my potatoes were cold. We finished our evening with dessert. I had the lemon-in-a-jar and Pooh had the Crème brûlée. Pooh's crème brûlée was perfect. My lemon dessert was too sweet. The tartness of the lemon was overpowered by the sweetness of the almond crumble We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent but they need to put the white wine in a cooler sooner.

I order a salmon meal. The salmon was tasteless but thankfully the sauce helped it. The mocktail was good. They had quite good amount of people there on a Sunday but definitely had open tables if I wanted to sit at a two seater but they suggested I go to the bar which is huge, but no one else was sitting there. Overall an okay spot, nice inside, my one dish was mediocre but not sure what the other dishes taste like.

They were able to take us with no prior reservation which was great! Really authentic ambiance, it feels like the place has been there for a long time. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and spoke both French and English. The menu also was in both languages which was uber convenient. We went with combo dinner that included (1) a choice of an appetizer, (2) a soup or small salad, (3) main course, and (4) coffee/tea. The pricing for the whole thing was very affordable - 38 to 52 Canadian dollars which is a steal if you are in the US. The desserts are at extra cost - 7-9 Canadian dollars... Both my friend and I enjoyed our food. The highlight was the melon with blue cheese appetizer - very elegant and eclectic dish that doesn't compare to anything I tried before. The rabbit leg with prune sauce was also unusual and a must-try. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area next time.

The vegetables were boiled to insipidness. Our waiter was up-beat and very attentive, describing the menu in glowing terms and making a valiant effort to raise our dining experience from the dead. But when you're dead, you're dead. We really wanted to like this place as a friend, who knows food, had recommended it. He enjoyed a meal there several years ago. I hope that they rediscover their glory days.

Our waitresses recommendations were fire. We enjoyed: Complementary bread: it was soft on inside and appropriately crunchy but not overly so on the outside. Plus two huge pieces cut into 4 pieces individually. Beef tartare: at 20 cad it was a little pricy for how much you got but the taste was great and I'm a fan of comte cheese. Plus it didn't have capers which imo overwhelms tartares. Duck with carrot: as a Chinese person I've had my share of duck but this might be the best duck I've ever had in my life. The texture and cook on it was awesome! First it came with three pieces of breast. It was the perfect cook, not over like most of the places I've had duck. Then the leg had the perfect crispy fatty skin to meat ratio. Yum yum this is a can't miss dish here Burger: husband got this. I took a bite. It had a nice smoke to it and was perfectly medium rare. I was too distracted by my duck to analyze it further. Raspberry jelly for dessert: as the waitress had mentioned, it was light and a perfect sweet but tart bite. Was great! Would come here again, we had l'express earlier in this trip and place carmin blows that place out of the water.
