A cute spot near the city of Cowansville. We went on the day of the eclipse so as you can imagine,…read moreit was PACKED. Our server told us there were so many people that day that their small town grew to over 10,000 more people that day! That all said, you're here to see if the food is good. The food was alright. I feel like on the busiest day they've probably ever had it's not fair to judge the quality when they didn't expect so many people so I'm sure it's probably better when it's not super busy, but it was just okay, as some tapas were definitely better than others. Everything is meant to be shared, so make sure everyone at the table more/less agrees on the menu. Overall, a good experience. I will say though, the lava cake was SUPERB!

On the bright side, the duck was very tender and rich and the fries were very crispy. Risotto: Delicious! This was my favorite dish. The whole dish was infused with so much flavor. The portobello and pancetta were very tender. Escargot: The escargot were pretty tiny... other than that, no problems with this dish. Tasted good, but a little too greasy. The cheese they used didn't really tasted like gruyere. Mixed reviews for the different dishes we ordered. Prices were really expensive for what it was. The risotto was the star of the night, so I guess this ekes out a 4/5 for me because of that.

Myself, had ordered an outstanding Duck Lake Brome Sandwich with Brie, Bacon and Caramelized Apples on a Multigrain Baguette and a side of Poutine. Wanted to have a non-alcoholic beer with that, and they offered Erdinger German wheatbeer which, according to the label is "isotonic, contains B9+ B12, and has lower calories." Well, whatever the "health benefits," the beer tasted quite good. The poutine was enjoyable, however, the sandwich was incredible! A wonderful combo of sweet and savory, with that duck! Yum! Would highly recommend checking Le Brouemont out and going for that duck sandwich!

The fireplace was on and it was so welcoming. The lady of the place, Louise, and her staff is amazing. She's all over the place and has a handle on everything. Even though the place was full, the staff was very attentive to everyone. We got the table d'hôte of foie gras, beef and jour de porc. It was tasty and the portion was very good. The dessert (cheese cake & pineapple tart) was too sweet for my taste but it was great just the same. It's a BYOW and is definitely worth a drive for a change of view. As a fondue lover I had to try this place after my friend went. I've been talking about it to my…read moreboyfriend and of course he surprised me on Valentine's Day awww! Fondissimo is attached to another resto called le shop you just gotta go to the left and behind and you'll see a projected image of the name on the wall, hard to miss. We were greeted by a tall male hostess who gave us a great seat by the window with loads of candles ( my fav ) We of course got the cheese fondue and Chinese fondue because that's the way to go. Unfortunately the cheese fondue wasn't very good, tasted like an iga store bought one. We got traditional so if I were to come back I would skip the cheese entirely or try something else that didn't taste so generic. It is BYOW so I wasn't expecting the cheese to be grade a like in Paris. Chinese fondue was great, we went with the marinated pork and beef slices. Pork takes a while to cook so that's a bit annoying but the beef cooked within seconds. If you're feeling more adventurous you can get all the fun meats, kangaroo, camel and etc. We didn't talk and appetizers as nothing really jumped out at us. But we decided that dessert to go was a must. We chose the cheese cake which was a really good home made cream cheese, with a crumble crust which was perfect. The restaurant and service was great but at the end their was a mix up with the tip so they emailed us right away because the tip was more then our meal. That was very nice of them and just for that reason only they get 4 stars. 5 stars if they get a real cheese fondue :)
