The Le Boulanger is a neighborhood gem, and so much more than a bakery. Yes, they have great breads, muffins, pastries, and other baked treats you can quickly grab and go. Good variety of espresso drinks and breakfast items as well. But they also have a good selection of soups, salads, and lunch sandwiches, making it a great lunch spot. Today I had the chinese chicken salad, friend had a turkey cranberry sandwich, and other friend had tomato bisque and a grilled cheese sandwich. All had generous portions, so we each saved some for later. My salad came with a large hunk of french bread large enough to make a whole sandwich with. And all three meals were very flavorful. They have lots of vegetarian options along with classics like BLTs, pastrami, chicken sandwich, tuna melt, etc. There are a few outside tables, and lots of indoor tables. It feels open and airy inside and even has a sofa and two comfy chairs near the back window, so a pleasant place to linger. read more

I came for the Mother's Day buy one and get. 50% off. My ham and cheese sandwich tasted good, except that when I bought home the pastrami sandwich for my mom, it only had one thing spiced of pastrami that didn't stretch to the sides of the bread. I was embarrassed, my mom thought that I was being cheap with her lunch. However, the dipped strawberries were good, Mom complained that they were too sweet, but they were does in chocolate. It's probably better not to come here on a special day, because the kitchen was probably running out of food, there were a lot of people who came. Got a hot matcha latte with almond milk dine-in and was very happy with the ceremonial grade matcha they use for their drinks and the deep green color of the latte. It was a bit on the pricier side at almost $8 but the portion size was quite substantial and quality was high. A pretty nice, cozy ambiance to work/chat in as well, decent wifi and plenty of tables with outlets. This is my third review this year. After Le Boulanger remodeled, the interior definitely feels more updated. In the past, the staff were just decent nothing special. Sometimes I even saw employees chatting among themselves, which we all do at work...or not... maybe.. behind door? Recently, I've been coming here for lunch more often, and I've noticed some new staff members. They're very professional, pleasant, and focused on their work. Most of all, the place feels much cleaner than before. I also no longer hear staff giggling in the kitchen area, which I never really had an issue with, but the overall atmosphere just feels more polished now. This place got a total remodel. Looks really nice inside now. They are now offering bread again for pick up. I got the 50-50, which is half a sandwich. Came here at 1pm for loaf of bread to take home. It gives off a cute, small community vibe with its bulletin board and some diners who looked like regulars. There were no more full sourdough loaves but I asked for the remaining bread bowls to be sliced like one. I got two. It was priced around $4+ per loaf. When I took it home, it seemed bigger than I anticipated! It was cool watching the bread go through the slicer. The process was quick and easy afte the people in front of me took a while ordering. Overall this spot is spacious and seems like a nice place to enjoy an American lunch. Tried out some freshly baked loaves of bread here. The bread loaves are large and perfect for hefty sandwiches and toast. You can get them whole or pre-sliced. The sourdough bread has a nice tanginess. I did find that this loaf molded within a week of having it though, so be prepared to finish it quickly or freeze it to keep longer. The sliced grains bread had nice thin slices that were great for breakfast toasts and sandwiches. I had mine with butter and it was quite tasty. Again, it is a large loaf so be ready to use them up somehow :) There were lots of other pastry options as well that I'll probably come back to try sometime. read more

Since the upgraded renovation of this fine, fresh food restaurant it presents a proper ordering station to the side versus the middle of the entry. The food and drink menu has expanded, always freshly served by workers that seem happy to be employed. I ordered the portabella melt sandwich without cheese which had zero spread like mustard or mayo. The bread was wad overtoasted and it lacked flavor. I have been going to Le Boulanger for quick Sunday brunches with my family for as long as I can remember. Always great value and great vibes! I generally get the You Pick 2 meal, with the tomato basil soup + a petite Vegetarian sandwich. They have some sort of dill sauce in the Vegetarian, which is out of this world. It's usually a triple-decker sandwich, and the middle bread is soaked in this sauce (yum!), but the last time I was here they used only 2 slices of (albeit larger) bread, and it wasn't as good. Hopefully that was a one-time thing and they haven't changed their recipe! I also recommend the lattes, "mini" pastries (3 for $5 or something), and vegetable medley sandwich (ask for it in a fresh croissant)! read more
