Burrata salad with apples & arugula with a lite French dressing
    Dawn M.

Le Bistro Dalpozzo This place is so nice, what a great find! I just happened upon it because the original place I was going to was closed on Monday. I asked for a table without a reservation. They sat me right away around 7pm. They brought the outdoor chalkboard menu to me as it was in English on one side French on the other! They don't seem to have printed or E-menus & I assume change their menu frequently. I ordered a burrata salad & risotto. For drinks I ordered sparkling water & red wine. She brought over 3 bottles of reds for me to try & described them!!! I was very impressed. Chose the first one she poured Myriades which is a red wine made near St Tropez! The chef brought out my salad. It had peaches, apples arugula, greens & burrata with some light french dressing,so delicious! Also ordered a vegetarian risotto with zucchini cream, goat cheese cream & sour cherry. Cooked perfectly, Yummy! Tres Bon! The background music is wonderful. All remixes of soft music! One of the servers accidentally brought me some other patrons dish, lamb chops with cherry sauce over a vegetable-looked divine! After my main course I had a sampling of desserts with a ristretto. Cherry tart along with a small ramekin of custard topped with corn flakes, pomegranate seeds & peaches. tiramisu with a sidecar of chocolate sauce! Even though they were very busy as I was getting ready to leave, they did not rush me out! So nice!! The wait staff were so helpful, efficient & friendly. I definitely recommend this place and will absolutely come back one day!

Amazing service! The server was super informative and very kind. The food was amazing, I had the gnocchi with the stew. Highly recommend. I asked if they had crème brûlée and they didn't so he gave us these melon digestive shots instead.... they were SO good. Please good here and feel the good vibes and have a great time!! Beautiful atmosphere too.

Veal cutlet was good, but a little too much tendon in our piece. The mushrooms were delicious

We decided to try this place as our last night out in Nice. It was kind of central to the downtown area, just west of the Hard Rock Cafe and close to the promenade. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal. I recommend the leg of rabbit. Very tasty. The ambiance is great with the live jazz music, with indoor and outdoor seating. Very romantic if you don't have someone smoking next to you. Outdoor seating is quite tight. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is bc when we went on a Friday night, there was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. She was nice, but we felt she gave more attention to the older customers that night and we felt kind of neglected. One of the other young couples that sat next to us actually got up and left bc they weren't being served. Maybe it was an off night for them, but heads up nonetheless.

Never had bone marrow before but it was phenomenal! The steak was done well, flavorful potatoes cooked perfectly and the ravioli was fresh and full of spunk!

Just ok. Good service and atmosphere (nice guitar player/singer playing lite cuts of classic rock and newer stuff in English). FOOD: The fish soup was bland. The cheese ravioli w citron cream sauce was quite good. The apple tart was way below average for France.

I got food poisoning from the oysters. The apple tarte was terrible. Don't go save your $50 euros/person

It happened to be happy hour so I was able to take advantage of some great drink deals. For my dinner, I ordered the duck with vegetables, potatoes, and added a side of ratatouille. It was all very good and the portions were large for the price. The orange sauce was unique and it seemed to have orange peels in it as well. While this might be more of a touristy spot with this location, it was a true French menu, which was my goal. The food and service were very good and I'll come back.

Maybe not fair for them, but on our previous night, the previous chicken dinner was 5 stars for her. I got the beef stew over gnocchi. Not bad, but even for a light eater, it was NOT enough food for me?!?! Got a glass of Bordeaux which was good, until I noticed the locals got twice as generous of a pour?!? The second time I noticed this while dining out... Happy for them, but to see the inconsistency affects me... Ambiance - Small local business/restaurant. Prime tourist location/area. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time. So since we were in the area, we just walked by and asked them to change the time and had no problems. Price - 49 Euros, $57 USD. Expensive for what we got IMO. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

This was our favorite meal of our trip to Nice!…read more Warning: Reservations are hard to come by we dropped by and only reservations available were for 9pm two nights later. We took it. The place is super relaxed. 5 maybe 6 tables which made the difficulty of reservations more understandable. Prix fix menu - 4 appetizers to choose from, 4 entrees and 4 desserts. We were there with somewhat of a limited diet, but the options were awesome. We got a cauliflower appetizer and an artichoke one. Both were excellent. We all had the cod for dinner also delicious - served in a bath of traditional fish soup and with potatoes. The dessert was also excellent - we got the goat cheese in olive oil and garlic, the cream cheese with blueberry compote, lemon cheesecake and cinnamon "tiramisu". Every bite was full of flavor and such cool takes on the food. Now the intangibles - we arrived for our 9pm reservation, restaurant closes at 9:30 and we probably didn't walk out until 11:15 and there was still another table of 8 people dining. The host/waiter, Sebastian, was awesome. So friendly and we at no point felt rushed. In fact the opposite. When our daughter was slow in finishing her meal he joked with her instead of hurrying us along. Once we finished our main dish, he casually brought us our dessert and because we didn't order his favorite (we didn't know) he brought us out an extra to enjoy. We felt a little bad so somewhat accelerated the dessert phase so we could square up and leave. Instead he was unhurried, he casually cleared our table and chatted with us for a bit. It took us another 15 minutes before we finally said could we get the bill. He brought it to us another 5-7 minutes later. We had a great experience and one of our best meals in France, if not the best.

An amazing, unexpected meal…read more We didn't even have a reservation, but somehow got super lucky just walking in. My friend who made our itinerary had this place on the list of places to eat at, but we didn't have a resy so we didn't have our hopes up. It was fairly late when we walked by. I saw a pretty big crowd outside, shockingly mostly Americans. We put our name in and less than 5 mins later we got seated - ahead of people who were there before us. They led us to a sorta corner table, overlooking the kitchen. We got to watch the talented chefs do work all night. The smells coming from the kitchen honestly got me feeling wild thoughts. Like damn. For some reason we all decided to do a la carte. Maybe because it was late. Someone got risotto, I got the pork chop and the other got lamb. We all loved what we got, but agreed that mine was the best. This is the kind of place that would be my go to spot if I lived here. Awesome vibes, innovative food and overall great atmosphere

We asked for the dessert menu, but they told us that they needed to turn over the table within 10 minutes so we could not have dessert and had to get the check. I have never had an experience like this before in ANY country. Clearly they are a tourist trap and they just want to turn over tables. If you would like a real French experience, stay far away. We live in Nice and I've never had service like this. I would like to give this restaurant, the worst review of my life.
