We spent a tremendous amount of money to have our backyard redone, to be gaslit by Joe Guarino the entire time. They made mistakes that he denied were their fault. We had $12k in change orders for budget misses on his part before we even started, so his number could appear low. They claim to be design build which is a complete joke and don't do any renderings. Three years ago I hired LCM to put a patio in my backyard which was mostly hard packed dirt. They started the job on the exact day I was told. After the project was started I began to have new ideas. We'll, one thing led to another and I ended up having them put in the new patio, walkway and stairs on the side, a deck, new front walkway, front stairs, new entrance way, driveway, new lawn and a sprinkler system. They did everything without missing a beat and had it done in about 4 weeks or so. The workers were on time every morning and worked hard up until around 5:00 every day. They always cleaned up before they left for the day. Three years later I hired them to enclose by back porch. Needless to say, I got the same quality work and more. We hired LCM Plus to install a patio and walkway. The job started right when they said it would. The staff arrived on time everyday and were great. They worked very hard and were very neat and clean. They got the job done in less than 5 days, which was amazing considering the size. The patio is gorgeous. Those guys got skills!! The owner Joe and Elaina in the office were great. I own a late Victorian home with original decorative rustic stone walls, stone chimney and front steps that have begun to deteriorate. Not only was their estimate very fair, but their work blends in perfectly with the original stonework. I was concerned as we had repair done by others a few years ago that looked like a cheap imitation of the original decorative stonework. LCMPlus did a perfect job. Unfortunately I'm unable to recommend LCM Plus. As a Melrose resident and small business owner, I was excited to support this local business; however, despite my best efforts to schedule an estimate for landscape design and lawn treatment, LCM appeared to be unwilling to honor my appointment or work to salvage their relationship with a potential customer. I called them back in May to schedule an estimate and was told that it would be at least 6 weeks just to get someone to our house. Mind you, not 6 weeks before they could do the work, but 6 weeks just to get someone to our house so we can talk about what we'd like to have done. Apparently, however, the appointment was never actually scheduled on their end which I didn't realize until it was 45 minutes after our schedule time and no one had arrived. I called LCM and was told over the phone that the person back in May started making my appointment but never actually MADE the appointment. The woman on the phone said she would talk to the owner and call me back and also that it never takes 6 weeks to get someone to your house. After talking with the owner, I was told that nothing would be done and that it would be another couple of weeks, AGAIN, to get someone to our house just to look at our lawn and existing landscaping. I was offered an apology but absolutely zero effort was made to honor the appointment that I had on MY calendar from 6 weeks ago. Apparently since we had already gotten an estimate YEARS ago but never had the work done, we're not entitled to getting another estimate; although they have no trouble having you commit to a day and time for an appointment and have you not seek other estimates. Overall, I'm disappointed and appalled in their lack of customer service and will not be making any more appointments with LCM -- or recommending them to friends and neighbors. read more

I called to receive a price quote for a patio we would like to build. We agreed on a time and date to meet at my house. 2 hours before the meeting they called to confirm that everything is on schedule. I confirmed. 10 minutes before the meeting they cancelled because the gentleman got stuck somewhere doing something. I was told someone will call me back to reschedule. I waited for several days but no-one called. I called them myself just to be told again that someone will call me back. It has been a week and I am still waiting. It looks like this company has too many customers. This is not a way to treat people. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. The young man that worked there before was wonderful and professional. Now, let's just say they traded down. Been a client for years, a small client, but a PAYING client. I am thrilled to recommend LCM Plus! We bought our Christmas garland there, and a section of it proved to be defective in year two. They took back the section and replaced it at no charge, and even delivered it to our front porch. They are serious about happy customers, and providing good service. read more

I've never written a "meh" (2 star per yelp terms) review but there is a first time for everything. I really wanted to love this company and had a great first impression after meeting them at a home show but I was not wowed by their work. First, they said the job (foundation work) would start 4-6 weeks from signing of the contract. It really started 10 weeks after that. We were tackling other personal issues and the knowledge this would have greatly impacted our decision. I have worked with other construction/building companies and have been able to plan better based on their estimates. And yes, I understand that sometimes there are "weather-related" delays that are simply out of anyone's control but I was also the one that had to pursue updates. And this was after we deposited a couple thousands dollars for a deposit. Second, the finished work was NOT well done or as polished as expected and they even left my driveway spotted with the concrete mix they used to fix the foundation. Third, they were overpriced. This is definitely my fault for not getting another estimate. GET ANOTHER ESTIMATE. They quoted us at a "reasonable" cost and averaged 4 days of work with the "possibility" they would have to go up. Not sure if this is gimmick but (surprise!) they had to do more work and the price went up but don't worry, the 4 day estimate stayed the same. This after they STOPPED the work for a day to make sure we were going to be OK with the price hike and more work. I'm not saying don't go with them. Just be prepared for the above and DO YOUR HOMEWORK with other companies. read more

Needed to have extensive work done to replace old patio and masonry work around pool and entrances to gated back yard plus repair sections of crumbling concrete walkway. I did not have a good experience using LCM. They did not follow my instructions. They did not complete the work when they said they would. They did not always give an estimate before doing the work. I would recommend that you go else were for landscaping services. read more

Our experience of LCM Plus has been excellent. The office manager, Gina, is personable, informational and extremely helpful. She scheduled an appointment with the owner, Joe, who came to our home at a time convenient for us. He looked over the property, listened to our general goals and our specific concerns regarding masonry and landscaping work that needed to be done sooner rather than later. He responded with suggestions and provided options both verbal and visual. We had LCM's proposal in hand and the work was scheduled in short order. The LCM Team who came to our home to do the masonry and landscaping work were comprised of extremely hardworking individuals - confirmed, without prompting, from several of our neighbors who found the work being done of great interest. The areas being worked on were kept clean and neat and the materials that were being used and/or slated for removal were kept stacked and neat -- a detail that we found impressive. Gina, Joe and the Team were responsive to our requests and questions throughout the process and the job was completed quickly and well in advance of winter which was of major concern to us. We are extremely pleased with the results and will definitely be utilizing LCM Plus going forward. read more
