This place gets the job done. The pedicures are the best as all the packages come with hot paraffin wax to make your feet extra soft! I saw some of the other reviews that were a bit harsh, and I have seen the razor used, but only when the customer specifically requests it. I've also seen women cop a huge attitude when they have refused to use razors, so I think they are in a hard spot when people want it done and know that they will be yelled at if they don't do it and fined if they do. I suspect these guys are not paid much more than minimum wage and this is a tough job. In today's environment, I think we need to support our local businesses and if you are not happy with the service, just go somewhere else. There are so many choices and everyone can find a place they like. I must say their pedicures are better than the fills, but they still do a good job. read more

For the price ($45), the mani-pedi was not that bad as a whole. However, I discovered bubbles in all of my own nails ( I got a french manicure) and I also realized that a few of my nails weren't even fully polished. Some of the sides of my nails were left naked. They charged $10 extra for the french on both the feet and the nails, so I expected to be at least completely done. The pedicure was nice, but the girl who was helping me had the most unprofessional shirt with tons of cleavage. This was totally not professional and I do not approve of it. Her breasts were practically in my face the entire time, I did not appreciate that. All the other ladies were wearing the white robes, why did she feel that she did not have to wear the robe, especially with the shirt that she was wearing? I'm sure the men and anyone into girls would enjoy her as your manicurist, so whatever floats your boat. This is hands-down my favorite inexpensive nail place. I have never had a bad experience. My only complaint is that sometimes there is a long wait. For less than $50 you get a mani/pedi. During the pedicure you sit in a massaging chair, you get a foot and calf massage, and a paraffin wax treatment. My toes always look so cute when it is done. For the manicure you get a hand and forearm massage, and a paraffin wax treatment. The ladies are very friendly and kind. Sometimes, I have trouble understanding them but they are just so nice...it is hard to get mad. Last time I went, I had my 3 year old with me. They were fine letting him sit in the chair next to me during my services. On that visit I did the mani with no chip and the pedi. With tip, I spent $69. My nails looked great for a good two weeks. Very disturbing that this place uses single razors on customers. I asked the man doing my nails about it and he claims it's only for certain customers that ask but it's literally against the law in Illinois. I called the state and reported them and they should be paying them a visit soon . The tools they used on my manicure were literally pulled out of a drawer and were used which is a violation as well. Funny how they were " clean certified " yet they were the filthy salon I have ever been to. Give your money to someone else or support someone who actually went to nail school. I've gone here from time to time for pedicures. I decided to try again after the last nail salon didn't do to best job on my nails or pedicure. I was very pleased on how my nails and pedicure turned out. After a short wait( I didn't have an appointment) Kelly started my nails. She seemed very knowledgeable on powdered dipped nails. They have a good color selection for the powder dipped nails. They also do a good on good on pedicures. This is the only place that I know of the uses hot wax on your feet without charging more for it. Salon is very clean. I will be going back, but I will call for an appointment. read more

After reading that in a couple reviews, I just made a quick call and the woman was very helpful with directions. They do the paraffin wax for manis and pedis and I had never had it done before but I liked it! Someone mentioned they hoped that the salon didn't reuse the wax.. Called in the morning and made an appointment for 2, just a simple pedicure and manicure. My daughter and I walked in 5 minutes before our appointment time, but still had to wait an additional half hour, and there were only 3 other women in there getting their nails done. They were not busy at all. Then when other people would walk in, they would either sigh at the sight of customers and come up with excuses for not taking them "We are really busy" or "you can wait if you want." Both of the women who took care of us seemed to be annoyed and rushed through the process. The place is definitely in need of a through cleaning and updating. My no-chip manicure only lasted 2 days and all of my nails complete peeled off by day 3. Will not go back. read more

Cutest non-big beauty spa nail place in the Western Burbs. *Clean. *Friendly. *Has a semi private room for parties (perfect for pre-wedding bridemaids and co). *FANTASTIC Color selection (not just lame reds and pinks). *and some pretty darn cool nail art options for those wanting a little something extra (I went with black tiger stripes on glimmery purple polish) The pedicure here is superb and the prices are quite nice, especially considering the 45 minute job they do on everyone's tootsie's and that the paraffin wax is included. The paint job on my base coat wasn't the greatest but with the massage that came with everything I really coulda cared less. I will defo be back for more fancy footwork and nail art but just a warning to any following the yelp app GPS- the addy is wrong and will take you to TLC nails in Glen Ellyn instead. LC Nails is actually in Lombard in the shopping center with Ultra Foods and next to Kumon Learning Center. If you still can't locate it, it's probably because there's a tree in parking lot that blocks their sign so just do a little loop of the P-Lot and you'll be good. read more

The LC ladies are awesome! I have been there twice and each time was an absolute delight. The prices are affordable and you get pampered and you feel like they actually enjoy their jobs. I hate getting my nails done at a certain upscale nail place (I wont mention any names ..MT) because the girls give you attitude and throw your feet around like they arent attached to your body. LC is defintily worth giving a try I gurantee you will be happy. They have everything from massages to nails. For just $23 you can get a great 45 min pedicure that includes,massage chair,drink,lotion,foot massage,paint,paraffin wax,drying station,drying spray and a little massage by your pedicurist as you sit to dry your toes. Background: My mom was a licensed manicurist and pedicurist. She taught me what to watch out for and I regularly do my own nails ever since I can remember. I've been to a nail salon maybe a total of 5 times in my lifetime but often as a child, I hung out at the salon. On a whim, my friend and I wanted to get a spa pedicure. We yelped this place out and it had raving reviews and a decent price. First impressions, the salon is spacious, clean and has a nice selection of nail polish colors. Unfortunately the polished looked almost empty or the colors have separated, but I appreciated they used OPI and Essie. PEDICURE: Standard spa pedicure, nothing stood out as amazing or bad. They did a decent job and I'm ok with it. The leg massage I read a lot about... yeah, I'm sorry but it wasn't that great. I actually didn't notice she even gave me a leg massage because it was so weak. I did notice two things: first thing was, I told my girl to leave my cuticles alone. I told her this twice and she still cut my cuticles. I gave up, but seriously... you need to listen. Second thing was the way she applied the nail polish. She dipped the brush in more than enough polish, but her application technique was poor. My color is a pearly color so application technique is everything. She started her brush in the middle of the nail bed, rather than at the top near the lunula. Then she would dip and apply after every stroke across the middle of the nail bed. Then she could apply color on the upper half. I have NEVER seen anyone do that ever. MANICURE: 1. My nails were filed crooked. 2. The free edge of my nails were not properly filed. There were sharp layers left over from using your course file. Obviously you didn't finish off with a finer nail file or buffed the edges properly. I could run the edges of my nails along my shirt and feel it snag. 3. I told you to leave my cuticles alone. You cut them anyway. 4. The cuticles weren't even cut off properly! 5. The polish was again uneven and didn't even reach the side edges. *SIGH* $35 for a manicure and pedicure that is obviously not worth it. P.S. for my poor friend. She sat next to me with her feet in the spa chair for 20 - 30 minutes before someone worked on her. Her water was cold by then. NO ONE came by to greet her or tell her why she was waiting. I was DONE with my pedicure before someone else started on her. She also injured two fingers and after she told her girl to be careful, the manicurist pulled on her INJURED fingers TWICE during the hand massage. read more

Massage chairs for all pedi clients (8 of them!) The polish selection is, like reviewers before me have said, quite extensive. So what did I get for my $23? A warm soak, scrub, callus removal (yes, they do use razor if you want them to), oil massage, paraffin, and polish. Yay. I love this place. read more

A couple of years ago, a friend at the gym recommended that I try this nail salon, so I did. It was great!! The massage chairs were nice, everything looked clean, and I had an outstanding foot massage with my pedicure. This was the first place I had ever tried that did the paraffin wax (it felt strange, but nice!). There is one girl there who went to school for massage therapy and her foot/leg massages are the best... I just don't remember her name so I always forget who to ask for. Brace yourself, this may be TMI: I frequently get ingrown toenails on my big toes. The doctor says it's from running, but whatever. This place actually takes care of it - no joke, it hurts like the dickens when they do it, but they actually cut out the piece of nail that digs into your toe and hurts. I'm sure there's a better way to take care of ingrown nails, but this works fine for me. Lately, though, this place is becoming less and less desirable. I had my wedding party (and family) rent out the side room while we all got mani's and Pedi's. There were still "Happy Birthday" banners up (even though I stopped by TWICE in the weeks leading up to the event asking if the room will be clean so we can have a bridal area) and it wasn't very clean. The quality is slipping, from what I've experienced. I still go there, but really wished it was back to how it was in early 2012 when I first started going there. read more

In the name of full disclosure, this trip was a gift from a family member and I didn't pick or pay for it. Had I paid for it, I would have definitely made a comment to the owner regarding the following issues. I had a pedicure and a gel manicure - the woman doing my pedicure didn't wash her hands before she started or after she finished and then immediately moved on to my hands. I told her to not cut my cuticles but because she didn't understand me - I'm assuming it was a language thing - she clipped them anyway. Two days later, my cuticles were red, inflamed and tender to the touch. I also requested a square shape vs an oval but again, my request was ignored. I ended up filing them into a squoval-type shape later in the evening. The pedicure itself was nice enough but after hearing the prices compared to other places in the area, I don't think I'd go back again even for that. Plus the customer service was lacking due to the aforementioned language barrier and I'd be constantly worrying about the cleanliness and getting another cuticle infection. read more

This is one of the more high quality non-upscale nail salons I've patronized. It has everything that I want when I get my nails done: wide array of polish colors that gets updates from time to time, plenty of women's magazines and comfy massage chairs. The business is also extremely sanitary and well-maintained with a cohesive, straightforward decor. My friend who lives in the area is a frequent customer and even knows the owner, so when I go, I go with her. The nail technicians are usually friendly and willing to do what we ask - with the exception of my most recent visit. I had someone who had not done my nails before and asked her (as I usually do) to trim my toenails short, but she would not do it because she thought they were "already short." This normally wouldn't bother me, but then she seemed miffed the rest of my visit, which put a bit of a damper on my otherwise relaxed mood. To increase an ambiance of relaxation, I would suggest playing mood music or having more TVs that played either cheesy romcoms or daytime talk shows. For now, the business has only two TVs at odd locations within the pedi and mani rooms, and the channels are almost always randomly selected so that I'm either watching the news or some game show. In the end, for around $30 (including tip), the spa pedicure is one of the best I have gotten because they do the paraffin wax treatment to get skin silky smooth. It's really a steal considering how much I would have had to pay for that if I were at a true spa. read more

So, I have had some pretty disappointing nail salon experiences as of late, and because of this I was nervous to try yet another new place. Will I leave ripped off? Will I get major attitude? Will I bleed? :( Needless to say my toes/feet were looking pretty rank so I figured it was time...the boycott had to end eventually.... And, well, thanks heaven's it did :) Phew, this place reaffirmed my (and my feet's) belief in a good nail salon. I called in on a Saturday afternoon to see if they had any open appointments for me and my buddy. Sure enough we could just walk right in! What!?!?! I was immediately suspicious. We showed up, were seated immediately, and the "work" began. The ladies who did both our feet were so nice and welcoming: "Is this water the right temperature?", "Is this too rough?", "Can I get you anything?". They did the usual pedicure routine PLUS the paraffin treatment, at no additional charge. My feet felt so luxurious after wards. To top it off when we were waiting for our tooties to dry they asked if we needed any changes or touch-ups. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know how to respond to such great customer service, so I just gave my pedicurist a great tip =) I guess the only thing I would change here is their nail polish selection. It could be a little better. One of my favorite things about walking into a salon is seeing that big old wall full of nail polish in every color and shade. However, this I would think is a pretty easy fix, and I was still able to find a color that I loved =) read more

I am done with this place. The owner is extremely rude and every time I have gone in there, whether I have an appt or not, the wait time is at least one hour. I tip well over 20% every time I go there but they have some regular people that always are taken care of while I wait. Done, you don't want my service, you are not getting it anymore. Also , that same owner did an eyebrow wax on me that was HORRIBLE... This place got a lot of good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The annoying thing is that there are no business hours - not online nor on the door. The place finally opened up around 10:30 and it was fairly busy from the get go. The lady who did my spa pedicure was excellent and didn't cut me or hurt me in any way - which seems to be a rarity for me! The polish was a little messy on a few toes, but not horrible enough to have her redo it. Her buff manicure was quite nice, no scraggigly nails and they were well rounded. Overall the place was just average. The walls were grimey and the decor was just ok. There was a damp smell that I noticed intermittently and while there were a lot of nail polish colors as others have mentioned, they were all mostly used up and some where just too strange to even possibly consider. read more

I HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I went in late on a tuesday night to get a full acrylic set and while the place did have customers, I was still able to get right in! Not to mention, the price for a full set was pretty awesome! I think i paid $25? SO REASONABLE. Some salons I have been to charge that for just a fill! I am not from the lombard area but decided to stop in to give it a try when my normal salon was closed already. And honestly this salon is way better! I will gladly drive 20 min to get my nails done by the ladies here at this salon vs. the one down the street from my house. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing and nice to look at, the tv wasn't too loud and was playing a channel I was interested in. The ladies were talking with their customers! which I haven't had that often. Typically I find the ladies working to be talking to each other. But looking around I noticed most of them were talking with their customers, or if not talking to them, just doing their work quietly and focusing. The woman, i wish i remembered her name, who did my nails did an amazing job. She took her time, she filed down exactly to the size and shape I like, asking me each time if it was good letting me be in charge! she made sure not to stick my skin to under to the tip, which has happened numerous times before elsewhere! she filed down all my edges to make my nails look so thin and natural. exactly how i like them! She didn't seem rushed for a second and I got to enjoy my time being there, confident they would look great, all while watching the bachelorette in peace! I came here on my birthday. It was last minute but I called before hand to see if they would take me for an acrylic full set. The technician gave me 5$ off for my shape since it was my birthday which was nice of her. She charged me for length but my nails were filed down too much & way shorter than what I had originally asked her to cut them down to. My nails were poorly shaped and meant to be coffin shaped which is very precise and sharp. In addition the acrylic was laid on way too thick and all of my nails were not the same length. While drying my nails another worker told me my nails should be dry by now and asked if she could spray them. I felt very rushed. I am very unhappy and will not be returning to this location. read more

I can't think of a better business to review to bring me out of my Yelp hiatus than LC Nails. A friend and I were there for a solid 2 hours one Sunday afternoon, and we emerged from the spa exfoliated, moisturized, and fully pampered. Located in a strip mall next to a Babies R Us and Office Depot, this is about as suburban as it gets. However, the atmosphere inside is a world apart from the hustle and sprawl of Lombard and the surrounding area. It was absolutely spotless - I saw them scrubbing away at the massage chairs after someone's pedicure, and since the proof is in the puddin', I can confidently say that I've not developed a foot fungus in the two weeks since I went. The prices are also awesome for the services included. The total price was $35 for both a manicure and a pedicure. I also opted for a french manicure for $5 extra - this did seem fair to me since my french manicure took the nail lady at least an extra 15 minutes. Paraffin wax is also included for hands and feet - I believe for free if you get both a mani and a pedi. All in all, it is definitely a repeat experience at LC Spa & Nails! I particularly liked the woman who did my nails - her name is Lucy. She gave the BEST LEG MASSAGE EVER. Also, since my friend is extremely indecisive and generally dippy, Lucy and another woman went above and beyond with helping my friend in picking out a nail polish. read more

This used to be my go to place for years. But after a horrible eye brow waxing that I am still 6 months later trying to fix. After the girl did it, she tried to color it in with an eye brow pencil stating it made the redness not so bright. Then I went back 1 more time (only because I had a gift card). The girl doing my no chip cut my skin so deep it wouldn't stop bleeding for like 10 minutes. It got infected a few days later. It turned black under the skin. So gross. On top of seeing full on screaming matches between employees. Yea you can do better than this place. read more
