The entire process from estimate to job completion was very professional and timely. They met the schedule and estimate while keeping us informed at all times. Sam and Varo did an excellent job using all the proper tools. In spite of having to deal with Palos Verdes stones, they completed the job in two days. The job site was always neat and orderly as they took care not to damage any of the surroundings. Clean up made the area look great - a job well done in a professional manner.

We were looking for a company to redo our backyard fencing on one side as well as two gates. We…read morecompiled quotes from three different companies and we decided to go with Torrance fence. We picked Torrance fence because 1) the price point was good, 2) I felt like the sales person was very detailed in the questions that he asked and all of the fine points that he went over, and 3) it was the only sales person that offered me a booklet where I could see all of the options and gave me the most detailed information. I'm so glad we did. Our fence turned out gorgeous!!! Every interaction with their company was extremely professional and very organized. They told me it would probably be three weeks before we were scheduled but they actually scheduled us like a week later. They were the only company that asked us if we wanted to fence in part of our side yard that was not previously fenced. We ultimately decided to do that and ended up with 200 more square feet of backyard space. We never would've thought of that if he had not suggested it. Love the fence and great experience with this company. Highly recommend!

The first project was a new fence and motorized gate about 5 years ago (it looks just as amazing now as it did the day they completed it)- from start to finish, the TH team was very knowledeable, gave us many options, were always prompt in both showing up when they said they would, and returning inquiries and other phone calls. Their workspace was always clean and thoughtful for our pets and family to traverse to and from the house while they worked on the project. And most importantly, the finished gate and fences were clean, high quality and polished... and better than we imagined! Our second project we just finished this past month was our deck (and roofing as our garage sits underneath our deck). They replaced our leaky wooden deck with new beams, proofing/coating, tiles this time (the whole nine) and it is perfect- complete with polished iron, a side gate to match our existing gates/aesthetic and touch ups where needed. Tal was very transpararent from the beginning and made us aware of the pros and cons for every material and promptly finished the whole project within two weeks. He went above and beyond-communicated every step of the way. We trust them with any home project and would hire him and his team again in a heartbeat.

We had an old deck that had seen better days so an upgrade was needed. We went with Trex composite. Angel, Raul and Joel did a great job. Professional, hard working and listened to our needs. Angel was the foreman and came to the house every day to make sure the project was on track and also rolled up his sleeves when needed. John handled the contract and payment schedule and was very easy to work with as well. They also finished the project within the timeline set in the contract. I plan on hiring them again for our front deck.

In my 60+ years, I have hired more contractors than I care to remember. There were many good ones…read moreand, unfortunately, many terrible ones. In all my dealings with the contractors, I have never had an experience like what I had with YourDeckBuilders.com. Whenever I hire a contractor, I always make an effort to observe the workers to see how they do their job. If I watch any of them long enough, I would always notice something that is not up to par and had to ask them to do it correctly. With Angel(project manager) and his crew, however, I did not have a single incident where I thought they did a subpar job. It was always a pleasure to see how much attention they pay to the details. It was obvious that the crew takes pride in their work. It didn't take long before I felt perfectly comfortable to let them do their work and only check on the progress once in a while. Each time I go check, my spirit is lifted anew by all the fresh signs of quality workmanship. Besides the satisfaction with the workmanship, I much appreciate Angel's emphasis on safety. This is especially important to me because our deck is on a hillside. I was thrilled to see Angel's team putting in more than 50 deep footings(yes, I counted them), each one down to the bedrock supporting the deck. To this old engineer's eyes, it was clearly an overbuilt for safety, and I love every bit of it. I know in my heart that when the big quake hits, my family will be perfectly safe standing on our deck. In all my previous contractor experiences with any sizeable project, there was never a time where I didn't experience at least some stress and anxiety, whether on quality, schedule, cost, etc. During my entire experience with YourDeckBuilder.com, I have experienced nothing but excitement and satisfaction. It was a uniquely strange feeling that I shared with my wife and family repeatedly during the duration of the project because I could never have expected my experience with any contractor to be so pleasant. The guys at YourDeckBuilder.com are, by far, the best contractor I have ever worked with.

The responses to my questions were fast, and I asked A LOT of questions. All my questions felt welcomed by Shay and I am so thankful to him. Quality was superb. I asked Shay for help with adding a wall to my garage, change area of laundry air vent, demo carpet on stairs and on second floor , change subflooring on second floor, install laminate flooring where carpet was, new walk in shower, and upgrade our stairs to have risers. The finished job looked beautiful and well built. There were minor details that I wanted fixed and Shay had it fixed next day. It was amazing. As for the cost, it was comparable to other competitors.
