I found a THICK BLACK HAIR inside a tiramisu I ordered for my father's birthday. I went in seeking a refund and I never expected to have to defend the fact that I found a hair in between the layers of tiramisu-even though I took in the slice with the hair in it as evidence. While I was explaining what happened they kept throwing facts about their shop at me so as to argue and defend the fact that the hair was placed there by me. I even asked the woman if she believed me and she staight out said NO. I went in to support local business and was very dissapointed with their customer service. The woman kept saying she would give me the benefit of the doubt while shaking her head that the hair was was not their fault. I saw the hair split from a slice with my own two eyes it was in the middle of the tiramisu! Although I do appreciate the refund, a customer should NEVER have to receive attitude and a negative tone of words from a business owner. I would never lie about this and I should not have had to defend myself to the business owner. I do appreciate the man's help though, he was more helpful and nice than the woman. Please work on your customer service skills and act like you have been in business for 40 years. Never lose the customers respect and do not say you do not believe the customer. I know accidents happen and the hair in the cake is a problem that can be solved, my problem was definitely with the horrible customer service I received, now that's a problem that (by the looks of the way in which past responses to negative yelp reviews have been addressed and my experience) won't be solved. read more

I stopped by here last minute wanting to get my husband a nice birthday cake. The lady that helped was very helpful. She gave me suggestions and describes the different cakes the have. I ended up buying a ferrero rocher cake. Never heard of a ferrero rocher cake but I love the candy. The cake tasted amazing! There was hazelnut in the delicious rich chocolate cake. Yelp has led me wrong! I was expecting delicious cakes that are fairly priced instead I got dry cakes that taste as if they've been on display for days. I got a Napoleon, tiramisu, and the caramel tres leche all of which looked good but tasted old.. The creams were hard and everything had this strange taste to it.. Fridge taste? Do yourself a favor and skip this place, pay a little more for quality cakes. What a waste of a trip and $18. Oh and free cake slice with a check in? I didn't even get a chance to try the cakes. The reason I'm giving one star is for the service I received over the phone. I called in to see how much the cheeseburger cake would be and the lady tells me she cannot give me any information over the phone because it can vary, that I should go in. I told her I wouldn't hold her to a specific price I was just inquiring on how much for a cheeseburger cake for about 20 people. I asked her to give me at least the minimum and maximum. She said $20 to $200 but I should still go in. Now this is absurd. I clearly provided her the number of people so she should have at least the slightest starting base. I understand depending on the flavors and filling costs may vary but being in a business and making cakes on a daily basis I'm sure a cake professional would know at least an estimate for a cake based on the details the customer provides. I work in the neighboring city and its not like I have all the free time just to stop by for my leisure. I simply wanted to utilize current technology by calling in for information and details and Im sure I would of placed my order for a cake BUT due to the lack of service I receive I will take my business else where. So this place just opened and I wanted to try there cakes so I ordered one for my wife's birthday. It look nice but the bread was so DRY I was really disappointed. I've never had such dry cake in my life. I will never go here for a cake ever again. I'm glad your read your comments and reply to customers, however you should read more carefully. I never complained about the color or designed of the cake, it looked beautiful and the design was exactly what I wanted. I do wish it would of tastes as good as it looked. I did not returned the cake because I only bought an 8", and the cake was shared between 12 people, who all shared the same view as mine. You have not been open at this location for decades if anything it has only been a couple of weeks, maybe you have other locations that have been open for decades but certainly not this one. This is my first time trying this bakery and to start off I must say this first experience was awful! I placed my order through Postmates to be delivered to me. When my Postmates driver arrived at the location to pick up my order, she notified me that the workers would not allow her to come inside their shop (my driver was African American); she mentioned to me that they have a Ring Doorbell Camera at their business and they had locked the door during normal business hours and would not allow her to step foot inside their shop. They communicated with her through the ring doorbell speaker and advised her to wait outside and told her she cannot come in. My driver waited outside for my order and when it was ready, the workers opened the door slightly and stuck their hand out with my order in a tiny bag. My driver was shocked and baffled and stated "this place is so weird". She also stated she reported this business to Postmates as well as to how she was treated by them. When I received my order, I was shocked to discover this tiny small bag after paying $60+. The 2 bite size cheesecake bites in a box for $14.99 plus tax is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED; the box was smaller than my hand! You're better off buying a full size cheesecake for the same price or cheaper. Also, I was missing some items in my order and the cheesecake tasted horrible!!!!!! Save yourself the time, stress, money, and disappointment from this godawful place they call a business!! I've been coming here a few times now to get some cute chocolate covered rats (red velvet). I'm usually not a fan of red velvet, but their red velvet cakes are so moist and filling. It also lacked in flavor. The raspberry cookies were stale and also tasted old. The Fruit tart was OK, but the cream wasn't sweetened enough. Went in last minute to find a cake for my boss's birthday. I always pass by here when going to the grocery store and always wanted to stop by, but ever had the chance to. I'm glad I did. The owner (very nice lady) welcomed us and was very passionate about her store and her baking.
