I can't say for sure that acupuncture helped me conceive entirely or it was just a major coincidence, but it did help me de-stress, relax, and have an hour to myself of peace and quiet.  I highly recommend Lokahi Acupuncture for all your fertility needs or just to de-stress in general! There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.

My muscle tightness was the result of walking the weekend under hot weather and sitting long hours working and watching from a chair. I haven't been exercising for awhile because I'm exhausted from work. Off to the acupuncture clinic to fix my thighs and legs. First step, I get an acupressure massage to relieve some of the tightness before the cupping. Once the cupping was done, then the needles came. Needles are fine and they don't hurt. Just a prick. At the end of the session, I saw how dark the cupping circles were. My acupuncturist was surprised how bad of a shape I was in. I feel some relief that I'm able to get up from my chair without limping like before. Upon leaving, you're given herbal tea to help rid the toxin in your body. If you work long hours in front of a computer for a long time, your body will be in pain. Cupping and acupuncture helped me on my recoveries as I sit for long hours in front of a computer. The location is small but extremely convenient and the acupuncturist is always kind and thorough. I'm lowkey convinced he's a magician because I always have instant pain relief after I leave here. My last visit was for an elbow sprain, I walked in with 8/10 pain and after my 30 minute session I could already feel the relief. By the time I got home, the pain reduced by 50% and my mobility was up. I haven't tried the Chinese herbal medicine portion of the clinic but I'm very interested and will probably look into it soon. After taking the herbs, my allergies have gotten much better as well as some food intakes. The receptionist is super nice. I thought they take walk ins, which I came around 3pm, to tell me to come back at 5:20pm for the next appointment. I guess I could of called first when I first came but the reviews said that they take walk ins. A week later, for my second appointment, I came at 12:30pm. They had a sign that they don't take walk ins. Both appointments for some reason had me waited about 20-30 mins after check in before seeing me. I did give her feedback about why, and she said because the doctor was doing acupuncture. I think in the future they should plan that out if it was going to take longer or not. Overall the experience was great. Doctor is super chill and nice. Taking the medicine is a breeze. I like that it's in powder form so traveling to work is easy to take with just a cup of warm water in my thermal.

I went for 3 days to induce my pregnancy. Started at 38 weeks and gave birth a week early at 39 weeks. Weasley would ask me to walk for 30 minutes with induction needles in my skin. Then I would spend the rest of the time lying down with needles. The experience of being induced with needles is wild. I would feel a flutter during the walk. Those were contractions!! I texted her again the next day. no response. So I had to call the office, the same lady picked up the phone and finally checked for me and said my insurance does cover but it is in-network so I don't go to their office because using my insurance they will have less reimbursement. Dr Amy Yang is the best acupuncture doctor! I have seen many acupuncture doctors over the last…read more~20 years, and none of them are anywhere close to being as good as Dr Yang. She does Chinese Traditional Medicine, and has been trained by top doctors in China. After I started seeing her, I found out she even has written multiple books and has a Phd! She is super smart and is fluent in both Chinese and English My Story: I have ITP, which is an autoimmune disorder. I have been seeing American doctors for years, and have to take several medications for it. The doctors, hospitals, and medications have taken their toll on me. After seeing Dr Yang, my energy is noticeably better, I look younger, my thinking is much better (which shows up in my work performance), my ITP is getting better, I'm sleeping better, and feel happier. My body feels like it is getting stronger starting on the inside, which is the best way to heal. Recently, I had really bad allergies from pollen, and my nose and sinuses were complete stopped up. I mentioned it to Dr Yang, and she added in extra treatment to deal with that. I had fast relief, and my nose and sinuses opened up and everything cleared out! At each appointment, Dr Yang will check the tongue, and use other Chinese methods see how my body is responding to treatment. Then she will adjust the treatment accordingly. She also teaches methods to deal with "life" things that come up, and teaches better mindset during treatment. She taught me breathing excercises to do, and she uses QiGong while placing the needles, which makes treatment even more effective. These things all make a noticeable difference. Though Dr Yang is an amazing acupuncture doctor, she is also far more. She is very compassionate towards her patients, is deeply concerned with their well-being, teaches problem-handling skills, provides new perspectives on "life", and teaches healing energy. All of this in addition to the QiGong mentioned above. I am very grateful for having found Dr Yang.
