I had an exceptional experience with Lazzo Movers. I originally contacted 12 moving companies (mostly from Craigslist) and narrowed it down to Lazzo. Although they were coming from a much further distance (2.5 hours), they were still able to be very competitive on prices and were available the specific day I wanted to move. On the morning of, I learned that they had another job scheduled for their 20' truck so they rented a 24' from U-Haul (no additional cost to me). They were very professional and prepared with tools and blankets. They loaded/unloaded the truck in a timely manner and did so deliberately and securely. I appreciate the great care they took with our possessions and that they used the blankets generously. They were very communicative overall. I recently used Lazzo movers to move some items from my home in Boston up to a vacation home in NH. It wasn't a huge job but it was a 2- 3 hour drive both ways. Derick gave me a very reasonable quote and was extremely easy to communicate with. On the day of the move, they showed up on time and did a fantastic job with all the items they were moving. These movers are truly top notch! Our moving experience was made quite pleasant by Lazzo movers. Up until this move I had always done it with friends and dreaded it. This is certainly the way to go. The crew that moved us was professional, courteous and respectful of our possessions. I had originally contacted them for a move in early December to move our home. The owner personally showed up at our home and did an assessment and then provided an extremely competitive bid. Our moved was delayed due to some closing issues and they were flexible in scheduling eventually moving us in late January. I was going to give a 4-star rating just so Derik remembers that nobody's perfect, but the, but I didn't have the heart to knock down his five star rating. We hired Lazzo Movers to move us from Taunton to Attleboro. We were astonished by how inexpensive the price was compared to three others that we got quotes from. I was expecting to get blindsided with hidden costs. That didn't happen. Derik and his crew arrived on Monday morning to move our stuff. We packed all of our own boxes, but they would have done that if we hired them to. They moved an eight room house, full basement, half an attic, and all the outdoor items we were taking into a truck and a trailer in about 5.25 hours. We were not scheduled to close on our new house until the following day, so included in the very low price was holding all of our stuff overnight securely. When Tuesday arrived we ran into a snag with the sale of our house, as those things often happen. Derik's crew was waiting for us to bring the keys and they waited...and waited...and waited...and it rained...and rained...and rained...but still they waited. I was afraid the whole day was going to be a washout and we would end up paying detention fees, but Derik had his crew wait. And when we arrived from our closing he had taken the initiative to get the trucks unloading. They filled up the sheds and outbuilding with as much as they could so when we finally got the keys they would have to only bring the furniture in. His crew is fast, professional, courteous...there was a broken mirror which was paid for without issue. Those things happen. Good Lord willin' I will never hire Lazzo Movers again, because I don't plan on moving anytime soon unless it's in an urn. However, if I knew someone who needed to hire a moving company, I would, without hesitation, recommend Lazzo. Again, I will only grade them a 4.9 because Derik's got to strive for something, but since that's not an option, 5 it shall be. read more

I could not have asked for a better moving company, and more especially, nicer people to move my 84 year old grandmother's family heirlooms. Best $$ I ever spent! The morning of, one of his guys called in sick, but Derek found a replacement quickly and let me know they'd be late. Late is better than a reschedule, so I was cool with it. My move wasn't far and wasn't big (a small 2 bedroom apt), but they wrapped everything and packed everything into that truck like an engineer. Derek is a very calm young man, handled my anxiety like a pro!! Another yelper said it was like hiring some buddies, but I have to say, 2 pieces of my furniture that I had help moving a day or so before from a "buddy" were damaged, yet Derek and his helper damaged nothing, so I'm all for it if that's the case! Nice enough guys but I wouldn't exactly consider them professional movers. They were more like hiring buddies to help you pack and unload a Uhaul. They definitely didn't fully protect the furniture before it was moved out of the house - this lead to some dings in wood furniture. Nothing major but more of a "you get what you pay for/lesson learned" experience for me. Have used pro's in the past that moved much faster and protected the furniture much better. read more

AMAZING!!! They were hired to move from MA to RI on the most humid Saturday I can recall lately. They showed up early and even with a pit stop to a furniture store, a return back to the furniture store and the 45 minute drive from Point A to Point B they finished early. They were inexpensive, very organized, professional and friendly, even to my 5 year old son who couldn't help but get in the way. I wanted to give these guys five stars for the fact that they are the cheapest around. They protected my furniture and were fast but the fact that their trailer (not the box truck you would expect) didn't fit our four bedroom house called for two trips and really upped our budget. Even then it was still cheaper than hiring anyone else (and with less time) and we got a dozen quotes. I will say that we had A LOT. Super nice guys and very professional. I have so many mixed feelings about my experience with Lazzo movers. The Good: Lazzo Movers did a great, extremely efficient job at moving my two bedroom apartment. They worked really fast and the two movers were very professional. The price for the move was significantly lower than all the other quotes I received. The Bad: Some minor damage to my things occurred. I could tell that my mattresses had been dragged along the floor at some point due to the skid marks, and one picture frame was broken. All in all, not a big deal, that's kind of the risk you take when moving. The Ugly: Lazzo movers showed up ONE HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINTUES LATE and DID NOT CALL ME OR WARN ME IN ANY WAY. I had an email confirmation with Derek including the date and time of my move, scheduled to start at 8 am. Lazzo movers did not show up until 9:45. At about 8:30, I called the Lazzo movers contact number and emailed Derek several times, with no avail. I nearly had a heart attack thinking that they were not going to show up. To top it off, my move was on a Sunday so every single U-Haul truck in the area was already booked (how do I know - I frantically called every single one at about 9 AM). When Lazzo movers finally did show up, Derek topped it all off by telling me that he was late because he wanted to sleep in. Believe me, I get it man. If you had just called, heck texted, or emailed me that you had intended on showing up later than the scheduled time, I could have slept in too. Next time, just shoot your customer a courtesy notification so they know you haven't abandoned them. All in all, Lazzo movers did a good job. Just be warned when you book them that you need to be flexible on time and you should probably have a plan B, just incase. read more

I took the recommendation of this company to heart, as someone that I know used them a lot and we were only moving 2 miles away.... unlike the other moves we have had in the last 20 years, where it was city to city. Our experience with this small company was good the first day; the second day went down hill like a screaming freight train. Our new home has damage all over the place (not just the stairs where a heavy thing was dropped) doors have giant scratches, our furniture has scratches and dings all over it and our semi-new couch was not protected in any way on the truck and it had black grease all over the back of it. Needless to say I am not happy about my experience AT ALL and I would not recommend these guys if you care at all about your stuff. Moving is up there on the list of stressful things in life and so is buying a new home! This was a very stressful move for us and it was extremely over-priced for the overall execution of the job - we definitely did not get our money's worth. I chock it up to inexperience and arrogance. We will stick to the professionals next time, which will hopefully be a very long time from now. read more

I LOVE these guys!!! They are very reasonably priced. They care about your time and your belongings. They will actually time your pickup and delivery with you! The best combination in movers!!! There were a couple of hiccups, I think they could have packed a few things better as a few of my dishes broke. They also could keep track of the number of boxes and list of furniture better. They accidentally forgot to unload one of my boxes but they shipped it when I called about it and they found it in their truck. Again, these guys are GREAT!!! We recently used Lazzo movers for a move from MA down to NC. Derik came by, took inventory and did a nice job of being on time. Professional, courteous and on-time. Never again. I can't believe they call themselves "a business". Had an early afternoon appointment. Derik call when he was supposed to be at my location and told me he was running late and wouldn't be able to get to my house for TWO HOURS. Received one text after that to confirm the changed time. Sent a text back and never heard from them. They never showed up for the move. We made other arrangements for the next day. I saved $350.00 by doing it myself. worse company ever dont believe any of these reviews canceled 2 hours before they were suppose to be at my move and only reason i went with them is i was at a friends move and jerimeha and steve were great but the owner is a complete waste of sperm sits there with his dog and does nothing says he is managing the move but he sits in his truck the hole time read more
