Quiet, clean, family-owned resort right on Table Rock Lake. A great, rustic retreat for a family vacation.

I especially appreciated that the outlets were located in convenient places around the room, which makes a difference when traveling with phones, chargers, and devices. The air conditioning worked very well and kept the room comfortable all night. The common areas were also clean and well maintained. The lobby had a welcoming feel, the indoor pool area was bright and inviting, and the breakfast area was organized and easy to use. Breakfast was decent, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered a turkey sausage patty in addition to the regular breakfast items. One thing worth noting is that they no longer keep coffee makers in every room as part of their sustainability policy. Instead, they offer fresh coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. It means a little extra walking, but the sign explained that it is part of their effort to reduce single-use waste, which I can appreciate. Also, the front desk can provide a coffee maker if requested. The only minor issue was that the downstairs beverage machine did not have a water option because that feature was broken during our stay. Overall, this was a clean, comfortable, and dependable overnight stop, and I would definitely stay here again. 117 Highway 43 E Harrison, AR 72601

We stayed in a one room cabin with a king bed and were really impressed. The cabin was very clean and tidy. Well decorated and comfortable. The A/C was wonderful as it was a hot weekend. The location was great and very near Roaring River park where we saw trout fishing and kids playing in the shallow, crystal clear spring water having fun. Right down the street from a big water slide and near fishing supplies. Cassville is about a 10 minute drive and Eureka Springs, AR is about 30 minutes. We had dinner in E-Springs at the Grotto and the Rockin Pig Saloon, both were excellent! We had a wonderful weekend, thanks in no small part to the crisp and comfortable king bed, nice clean appointments and great experience at Roaring River Resort. The room was very clean with a fridge, microwave, desk, and mirror. We came in late and he helped make that possible and even turned the heat on for us. He recently opened the place and I wanted to be sure to write a review because I was thoroughly impressed! We will definitely come back.

I was so happy that she had a cabin available (cabin #2)! And what a cabin! These are log cabins with long decks that overlook the Arkansas hills. Everything was clean and just really, really nice. I was looking for a place with a full kitchen, and this had it (well, minus the oven, but that was OK, it had a toaster oven!), including full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stove. The kitchen had everything you might need: pots, pans, all manner of utensils, all the dishes and silverware, storage containers potholders, etc. There was a dining table, and couches and a coffee table in front of the fireplace. There were games on the shelf that you could play, there were lots of power outlets, big fluffy towels in the bathroom, and parking for 2+ cars. The downstairs bedroom had a queen bed (I think) and upstairs in the loft was a twin and a double. Lots of room to spread around here! The deck had a birdfeeder and a hummingbird feeder (and, yes, the hummingbirds do show up), with rocker-swing two-seater, barbecue, bench, and two chairs, just plenty of room to hang out. Our deck overlooked a beautiful field in front of the view of all the pretty Arkansas hills. Oh, and the sunset was almost directly in front of us! I felt like I was living in the hunting lodge of a Lord of the Manor and thoroughly enjoyed being there. It is about a quarter-mile up a side road from Highway 7, just south of Jasper, and it was very quiet there except for the sounds of birds! Kelly was extremely accommodating and gracious, and again, I was thoroughly thrilled to find this place on short notice because it was really spectacular and beyond my expectations!

Sitting on the side of the mountain, each cabin features spectacular views of the valley. With three full size beds, our cabin was just the right size for a group looking to explore the nearby river or hike in the mountains. The kitchen is fully outfitted and they even provide a grill! The only drawback is that there is no internet or TV. Of course, this might be seen as a benefit to some as it adds to the charm or being in a cabin in an area known for its outdoor activities.

There could be a lot of improvements. I understand over a year ago a car drove thru a section of…read morethe hotel and broke thru the water main etc. So yes I feel bad that they have had some hardships but they reopened the hotel before they should have. I am handicapped and I need to use an elevator, stairs for me are extremely difficult. Besides trying to carry a bag or two I also need my cane so climbing stairs is hard. We get there and the first thing is we do not have an ADA room and our room is on the second floor and the elevator does not work. My husband wanted to leave but it was after 10 pm and I was exhausted. The gal at the front desk was the only working employee when we got there. Kelly (her name) was trying to sign in so she could print up a receipt and she cannot sign in because she does not have a sign in number, name or whatever. She then has to proceed to call her manager who she manages to wake up from a sound sleep. It makes absolutely no sense to leave an employee alone and not give her the tools to do a good job. She was embarrassed that it took her so long to do something simple. Anyway, Kelly carried my bags upstairs which was very much appreciated. We were at one end of the hallway and I took my ice bucket and came and off I went. I kept seeing the vending sign with the arrow. I finally get to the end and there is another vending sign with an arrow pointing down the stairs. Wow was I . Kelly asked if there was a problem, I explained what happened and she promptly came upstairs and got my ice bucket and she brought me ice. Had it not been for Kelly we would have left. The final straw was wanting to take a shower and I couldn't because I couldn't step over the tub. These problems are the reasons I only gave it 2 stars. If I could give stars for your customer service at the hotel I would have given 5 stars. By the way your coffee in the morning was undrinkable

A towel in the shower that appeared to have been there since the Clinton administration -- stiff, yellow, and aggressively crunchy. Tub with yellow spots. A cigarette burn on the toilet. Wet shower curtains that felt like a dare. Oh, and ants. In the room. A whole situation. The breakfast bar was an act of optimism. No hot food. Minimal fruit. The coffee was so weak it was basically a rumor of coffee -- a vague suggestion that somewhere, at some point, beans had been near water. The pool: closed. Now, here's the twist: the STAFF was wonderful. Warm, helpful, genuinely nice. They are carrying this entire operation on their backs, and they deserve support staff who actually clean things. Bottom line: cute idea for a hotel. Needs a deep clean, a new coffee ratio, pest control, and possibly an exorcism for whatever was in that shower towel.
