The falafel wrap and chicken shawarma wrap were delicious! We got a takeout order but seating inside is nice too.

I have had two super unproductive work day's. I work from home and my company is based in another state. They are putting down or pulling up fiber in our neighborhood and somehow have disconnected our WiFi. So I can only make phone calls. News flash: a lot of what we do is tied to the internet. So I have been looking for places with WiFi and running errands. Sigh... I tried Lazeez Mediterranean restaurant for the first time for lunch. It is nestled in a strip mall on W Parmer Lane. The restaurant manager recommended chicken schwarma, which was delicious. I learned today that Lazeez means delicious. The schwarma was on this yellow fragrant rice bed served with a Mediterranean chopped salad and hummus. I was not a fan of the chopped salad as it had bell peppers...one of my least favorite vegetables. The hummus tasted very authentic and I ate every Marcel. There was also a yogurt sauce for the entree and pita bread. There were only two of us in the restaurant but a steady flow of walk-in and drive through customers. Overall good meal...

Lazeez's Mediterranean is the perfect lunch spot for some tasty gyros, shawarmas and baklava! The service is fast, friendly, helpful and professional! The food always hot and fresh made to order! I ordered the beef shawarma combo came with shoestring fries and a drink...it did not disappoint the shawarma was tasty and big, had beef, lettuce, tomatoes and a lovely sauce all rolled tightly in a warm pita bread! The fries were crispy and hot and the baklava was low key the star of the show!

Good food at a decent price. I ordered the chicken and gyro plate. There was plenty of food and the sauces that paired with the meats was delicious. I ordered at the counter and they brought my food to the table. The place is clean and well kept. There is only indoor seating with both tables and booths. You can also opt for take out. Thanks Lazeez Mediterranean for another good dining experience in Central Texas!

We stopped by this fairly new restaurant to try out their Mediterranean food and overall had a pretty pleasant experience. We didn't eat at the location since seating was limited and not the best ambience for a nice meal. Ordered the Chicken and Gyro plate with a side of falafel and onion rings. Starting with the appetizers, the falafel was pretty good and not overcooked her dry like some places do and came six to an order. The onion rings were a choice that I was initially hesitant on, but the cashier was insistent that they make them well. I really did enjoy how crisp the batter was, and the batter-to-onion ratio was on point and very flavorful. Going to the main meal, the chicken and gyro plate was very flavorful, rice cooked perfectly and fluffy, and the side salad and hummus fresh. I think they provided a good amount of meat, however, the plate itself wasn't as filling as other places such as Halal Bros that give you enough food to make at least two meals from the portion size. Service took longer than expected on a Saturday evening (almost 20 minutes) for this type of food, but helped me feel like the meal would be fresh. In summary, I definitely think this is a solid choice for a Mediterranean food spot in the north Austin area!

I never write reviews but this place genuinely moved me. I was fasting and waiting for my order when one of the guys working there just offered me some soup out of nowhere, no big deal made of it, just pure kindness. The Arabic chicken shawarma was also really good. I'll honestly never forget that experience. Good people here.

Service---5 stars (really nice guys)! Ambiance--4 stars (accent lights and comfortable booths). Food - 3 1/2 stars....it was just okay. The rice was great--so was the Lamb Kofta. Pita sucked (dry and old), tabbouleh had little to no citrus...fried cauliflower was good..nice spice. The chicken was vey dry--seemed to have been in the spit too long. Dined during lunch so expected food to be fresh. Hummus was smooth and presented correctly.

Wanted to give it a try ever since the restaurant opened . (Takeout experience not dine in). The wrap was juicy and tasty. The plate was not very generous in terms of quantity and flavor. Gyro part was good but the shawarma part is where it did not meet my expectations. The price is decent . Overall a good Mediterranean food place.

Finally, an easy Mediterranean option in the same vicinity as my gym. What hooked me was their kefta kebab, spiced to perfection, tender, and juicy. Most places dry this out along with the chicken. Chicken was also very good, but personally being a meat and potatoes girl, prefer the beef version. Place has only been open for a couple of days. New build, concrete stained flooring, and clean. Staff greeted us with all smiles, counter style ordering, definitely casual. Only been here twice, rooting for them.

Chicken and Lamb BBQ

A new counter service Arabic place off Parmer, Lazeez is a welcome addition to the area. It's no frills ambience wise but the food is great. We got the chicken shawarma plate which came with fries and garlic sauce and it was great. Unlike some other Arabic restaurants the garlic sauce is super smooth and not too strong. We also got the chicken+lamb bbq plate- It took a while but it's due to them grilling everything to order. Wish there was a bit more meat but it tasted great as well. The rice was delicious and spiced with care. Good hummus as well! For takeout or dine in this is going to be a solid addition to the area. Probably the first Arabic restaurant in the Parmer corridor. Recommended!

Food was so flavorful! Had Mezza Plate, Tabouleh salad, Dolmas, and Baklava. As much as I enjoyed the falafels, the bed of salad that was underneath of the falafels was so refreshing and tasty. Enjoyed every bite! We like the fact that there were several options for vegetarians besides falafels including vegetarian Shawarma and vegetarian Gyros. Took the food home, but the store was lit with pretty lights and the atmosphere was nice. The owners were very friendly and courteous. We will definitely go back!

The kebabs are the true highlight...juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. The portions are quite large as the hubs and I shared a wrap. We were sufficiently full after eating the chicken tikka wrap. Interestingly, the wrap came in a Shawarma King packaging with their contact phone number. So, I assume that Usta staff are sub-contracting from Shawarma King. Usta also has freshly baked bread and classic sides like hummus and rice paired with the main dishes. The restaurant has a homey, lived in feel. It has a few middle eastern artifacts sprinkled throughout the restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from Iraqi and Adana kebabs to shawarma and traditional Middle Eastern plates, so there are food items for both first timers and regulars who want to explore beyond the basics. They also serve flatbreads where you can have two different toppings. The food focus is on bold, traditional flavors rather than modern takes on middle eastern foods. On the desserts front, they have an assortment of desserts and several sections of ice cream. I had the baklava, which was surprisingly delicious...it was not eye-squinting sweet like a standard baklava. It was crunchy, flavorful, and had nuts that were substantial. Layla, my server, was so super sweet and welcoming. She pointed out that Usta provides its customers free tea. How cool is that? I cannot remember last time I received a free drink.

The menu offers a great balance of familiar Mediterranean favorites and traditional Turkish dishes, all prepared with care and bold flavors. Portions are generous, ingredients taste fresh, and the dishes homemade. In fact, the son of the owner was managing the restaurant which he does not do often. He had nothing but rave things to say about his family and the restaurant. I really love that! I stopped to pick up some hummus. It was packaged with pita bread and nicely packed for travel. The hummus felt thick and hearty...not normally how it comes at the grocery store. If you're craving authentic Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine, Troy ATX is absolutely worth a visit.

It's one of those places that's reliable and feels pretty consistent, knowing you're going to leave happy and full after eating here. The two times we've been there, theres always plenty of seating and are able to walk right in. It's a walk in and seat yourself experience and then you pay upon leaving. The staff keeps the dining area and buffet line consistently stocked and clean. They even provide hand sanitizer and gloves for you. Even when foot traffic picked up while we were there, the food was replenished quickly and didn't look picked over. Now let's talk food...Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care instead of just being "buffet food" an under seasoned. The variety is also amazing, and it's easy to build a plate for pretty much any type of diet whether you're keto, high protein, balanced, veggie-forward, vegan, etc... Some of our favorite dishes we keep coming back for: Shredded beef (SO good), Baked fish (tender and not fishy), Garlic baked chicken (wonderful crispy skin), Fried chicken, Baked kafta, Kafta kebab, Gyro meat, Roasted cauliflower, Eggplant, Greek salad, Fatoush, Kale Caesar salad, Zaatar pizza, Cheese pizza (pro tip: top it with shredded beef- a life changing buffet hack), Rice with lentils, Rice with mixed veggies. For the quality, variety and amount of food you get, this is easily one of the best deals in the city! It's rare to find a buffet that's both affordable and consistently this good! If I had one small wish, it would be for desserts to match how strong the rest of the food is. They're not bad, just a little more "fine" compared to how amazing everything else is. I've seen another Dimassi's (I think in Cali) that had a frozen yogurt machine and I'd LOVE to see that here because it would be the perfect finish! Make a cup and then crumble up some baklava on it! Overall we've LOVED it here and we'll absolutely keep coming back! Great food, clean, consistent, and worth it every time!

Between me, my husband, and my mom, we have a lot of overlap in what we like to eat, but we also have some pretty distinct preferences, and Demassi's is one of those places where that works. My husband really loves Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. I generally do not. I tend to find the meats too dry, I don't particularly like the spice profile, and I also find a lot of dishes in that category to be overly sour. It's hard to explain, but there's often a sharp, tangy acidity that I don't enjoy. For whatever reason, I don't have that issue at Demassi's at all. Here my husband can get his fix of dry, spiced meats, while I'm happy eating from the huge selection of rice dishes, cooked veggies, and soups. As far as protein goes, I actually really like the fish here, so I almost never eat the meat and still leave satisfied. It usually feels like a healthy pescatarian day for me, which I like. Then there's my mom, who just loves the abundance and variety of a buffet. She's happiest when she can sample a little bit of everything, build plates with lots of small bites, and then go back for more. Demassi's is perfect for that. On top of all of this, it's very reasonably priced, especially for lunch or on weeknights. It's always clean, the staff is consistently courteous, and they are really on top of bussing tables, which matters a lot to me at a buffet. Dirty dishes piling up are never an issue here. Overall, it's a solid, reliable spot for us and a place we're always happy to suggest when we're trying to please multiple people with different tastes.

A Fantastic Introduction to Mediterranean Food!…read more I recently visited Levant Halal Restaurant and brought my parents, who are visiting from India. It was their very first time trying Mediterranean food, and they absolutely loved it! We started with two different types of hummus served with pita. The hummus was incredibly flavorful, and the pita was exceptionally fresh. We also ordered the falafel, which was perfectly prepared and delicious. For the main course, we shared the Chicken Shish Taouk with sides of beet salsa and Lebanese potatoes--everything was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Honestly, the highlight of the meal for us was the drinks. The mint juice and beet juice were so refreshing and easily the best part! We finished our meal with baklava and basbousa for dessert, and both were fresh, sweet, and incredibly tasty. Beyond the fantastic food, the ambiance is very neat and clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
