We were very excited to learn that they moved to Auburn as Manraj kitchen!! we don't mind the additional 10 minute drive to get the best Indian food we've ever eaten. The Auburn location seems bigger than the Kent location. It's very clean and bright. They serve superb food as usual, and the menu looks the same as the Kent location.. They are opening a small convenience store on the left side of the restaurant as you walk in. This seems like a great idea for the neighborhood. If you are vegetarian or vegan, they have several dishes to accommodate you. Manraj Kitchen is the same family ownership as the Manraj Palace in Kent. The food and service are excellent. The owner (Ranjit Kaur) is a delight to talk to. Service was good. Prompt seating. Got the appetizer platter served with the tangy tamarind date chutney and spicy green (cilantro mint) sauce. The fritters, samosa and the kebabs were great. Loved the Punjabi samosa! The Peshawari Naan was just as I expected, sweet and perfectly warm. The Mixed Grill could have been better with a Tandoori sauce on the side. It was served with complimentary rice but there was no liquid to supplement the rice and the meat. Could have been marinated a bit longer. The variety of chicken, seafood, kebabs was great but was kind of dry and hard to eat. Something that the owner can certainly look at and improve. I would certainly love the try their other curries. Wouldn't hesitate to give them a try again and refresh my review. Note: They have a small convenience store inside the restaurant. This used to be Happy Express and am glad to see an Indian restaurant in its place.

Side note, definitely try the (I forget exactly what it was called) coconut shrimp dish. Oh my heavens!

Notable that the menu is the cash price with a 4% surcharge for credit card. Service was friendly with frequent checks. Even with one visit I got the feeling everything on the menu would be good.

We really wanted to try the Jollof Rice, but they were sold out for the day since it was approaching the end of operating hours. Hopefully next time we will get the chance to try it! Not entirely sure what Egusi Soup with Chicken encompassed, but I enjoyed it. It was flavorful and definitely would be great to enjoy during the colder days because soup is so comforting. The Fufu is a starch/carbohydrate equivalent and best to enjoy along with the Egusi Soup. Personally, wouldn't eat Fufu on its own. Overall, the food was good and the service was great!
