Flauta plate with chicken perfectly cooked

This is a great spot for Mexican food - with various selections for lunch & specials every day. The service is always 100% ! I love the food always fresh and delicious- this place gets crowded and best to get there before lunch rush.

I had the ham and egg plate and it was pretty good, and the service was quick and friendly, I would definitely go back again.

Pretty comfortable seating on the inside, fans working at all times to keep you nice and cool if it's hot outside. The food is okay here, it took approximately 20-30 mins to get our food after we ordered. I got to say though due to selection and the difference in tacos they have here I will be coming back just to try them out. I absolutely loved the kids selection here, better than most places and straight to the point. No confusion on what you're gonna get, the menus due an absolutely great job on telling you what your food is gonna come with to make your decision easier and not have to ask the employee to many questions.

the miss charge they did

the employee are very disrespectful and at that they make their food very sloppy and i went there as a kid and it has just gotten worse over time and they like to give themselves tips that were not asked of i'm just saying if someone did that and you were on a tight budget wouldn't you be upset as well and they say that my bank charged it wrong but the bank charges it how they put it in i personally will never be going back over there because those employees and the food is just what will start you in a bad .

I love this hidden treasure. I often find myself here for lunch. The food and atmosphere is great friendly and clean. I often get the chimichanga or I switch it up. But honestly you can't go wrong with whatever you get just be prepared to bring food home.

Pretty sure this was a Pizza Hut, and it's apparently been around as Lazarita's for a long time. Pleasant staff & obvious regulars.

The senior delegate we were accompanying wanted "an authentic Tex-Mex experience," which our driver interpreted as "the sketchiest looking restaurant in San Antonio." We found it. There were absolutely no Yelp reviews about the place. Sometimes, you gotta have a little faith. And once past the outside, we marveled at the darkened cave-like inside, with a ceiling festooned with party favors. I'm pretty sure Lazarita's was a former Pizza Hut, but it's now about pleasant staff, a diverse group of obvious regulars, and some cheap & good Tex-Mex. And I'll bet breakfast here at 5:30am is worth it, because there sure were a lot of people doing the usual lunchtime fare before the 3pm close. The $7.25 chicken fajita plate was a tad dry for me, but the rice & refried beans were decent, the guac was better, and the warm & crispy flour tortillas were darn near great. The salsas will bite, and the iced tea comes as sweet, half-sweet, or unsweetened, like a proper Boba place. That was different. And when we left, the consensus was Lazarita's was a lot better than it looked. We weren't sure if it was someone's name. It does translate nicely to A-OK.

In April 2016, my hubby and I went to San Antonio for a nice birthday / 10th anniversary trip. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the annual Fiesta celebration was going on, which added a fun new adventure to our trip! We were on our way to find the famous Fanick's Garden Center then Rainbow Nursery (on Bandera Road) to buy some interesting plants (anniversary gifts for me) before heading back to Houston. Since our hotel's in house breakfast was not up to expectations, we tried a nice little Mexican restaurant on 166 South W. W. White Road in San Antonio called Lazarita's. The building is a bit dated but they were reasonably priced, friendly, and very good! I had two breakfast tacos with a side of mild but tasty salsa. My hubby had huevos rancheros (eggs over easy with salsa, bacon, potatoes, with a side of tortillas) and said it was one of the tastiest meals he has had. Also, their restroom was clean, which often reflects the state of the kitchen. If you happen to be on that side of San Antonio during breakfast time, check them out!

Still eating and food is being prepared.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I ordered the veal Schnitzel with mushroom gravy (Jägerschnitzel) and red cabbage. The gravy had a strange gelatin-like consistency and lacked the rich flavor you'd expect from a proper Jäger sauce. The veal was extremely chewy and honestly made me feel ill afterward. The red cabbage was also very undercooked and completely lacked flavor. Overall, I personally did not find the food authentic or representative of true German cooking. What truly saved this experience was the outstanding customer service. Our server, Joseph, was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the meal. I also greatly appreciated Mr. Adam, the kitchen manager, who personally came out to discuss my concerns. He handled the constructive criticism with professionalism and openness, and I truly respected the fact that he listened carefully and considered my feedback regarding the sauce. Although I wouldn't personally return for the food, Joseph and Mr. Adam turned what could have been a terrible experience into one where I still felt valued as a customer. Their professionalism absolutely deserves recognition.

Being a New Orleans native like myself we definitely gonna support our own when we find them away from the city. So when i saw he was having a crawfish boil I knew it was gonna be fire. It was so good I went up after and asked him when he was doing it again. Disappointed to find out he only does it once a year but I know I'll be back every year. And just to get some more cravings out the way I also ordered the bbq shrimp and my son had the chicken and beignets. We both inhaled them. So good. This was my first time to the location here. It's beautiful inside and out. The waitstaff was very attentive considering the large amount of people they were trying to account for. It was a little messy with the eggs and sauce, so I ended up eating it with a fork. The biscuit came with potatoes on the side, but unfortunately they were overcooked and super hard/crunchy, so we could barely eat them. Overall, I'd definitely come back and try more menu items!
