Note I did check out a few other "surf" shops in OCMD that were quite frankly a hot mess and junky. The outside and inside was very pristine and well kept. I love all the brands Oakley, Costa, Rip Curl, etc. The staff was pretty nice. I did buy a Ron Jon pop socket for my phone. Probably overpaid for a Ron Jon logo one but alas I'm from the West Coast and I thought it was cool. When I got back home I found a cute Ron Jon sticker they put in my bag. It's the kind of place I wouldn't bother patronizing as I loathe touristy junk. But, the spouse said "Let's go in!" Ugh, fine. BRIEF HISTORY: Founded in 1983 in Ocean City, Maryland, Sunsations now operates stores in five other states (Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida). EXPERIENCE: Yup, the store was everything I expected. Junk everywhere. Touristy magnets, sharks in bottles (what the...), shot glasses, even live hermit crabs for sale. On the positive, if you're looking for affordable wears or anything beach gear, you've stuck gold! I'm not one to buy tacky t-shirts with city names emblazoned on them (sans for Hard Rock t's) but I actually found a tastefully-designed t-shirt (label is Sunsations) with "Ocean City" on it for just $12.99! There were other cool designs including novelty ones too. Service was quick and friendly. OVERALL: Go ahead and blink because you won't miss bumping into a Sunsations in OC!

Me and my Friends came down for a nice get away for the weekend and were astounded by the way we were treated. My friend was accused of stealing just because she put her keys in her pocket and i guess had a similar key chain to what they sell (mind you were at the beach multiple times a year and shop at all the local surf shops) and I later called to speak to a manger about this situation, as me and my friends felt humiliated and was treated with ignorance and sarcasm. I would 100% recommend taking your money to another surf shop.

The racks of swimsuits appeared to be organized by style and color. I had no idea were to start. Fortunately they have many "fashion consultants" across the age spectrum who are there to help YOU find what you want. They were never pushy. One lady asked if she could help, found what my wife was looking for, and started taking suits off the racks that might fit and look right. They disappeared into the dressing room. Frequently the sales lady would appear and then return with more swimsuits. Perhaps 20 minutes later my love came out modeling the first, and then the second of two suits that looked and fit her perfectly. They were not inexpensive, but reasonably priced for good quality and fashion. I was impressed.
