For those who are not aware: Layers is a Pakistani bakeshop chain that is absolutely delicious! The Elmont location is quite small, and more of a grab and go situation, but the variety of flavors is truly unique. Choose items like Cadbury chocolate brownies, Biscoff or Raffelo cupcakes, or even sundae cups! Seeing as though there were only 2 left, I ordered a Belgian Chocolate Malt cupcake for about tree fiddy (no joke) and was on my way. The cupcake was superb. The base is a nice, moist chocolate cake. But the frosting is where it truly shines. It was so rich and malty, it was like eating a soft Malteser. What's even better is that the size is not obscene, so you're felt feeling satisfied but not overwhelmed. Service was polite. My friend ordered a cake for delivery from here TWICE cause it was so good. We tried the Ferrero Rocher cake and it was delicious. If you're a chocolate lover or a chocolate-hazelnut lover, this cake is perfect for you. It's rich in chocolate flavor but the cake itself isn't dense at all. It was soft and fluffy, a bit more crumbly than I'd like, and the frosting is delicious. It has grounded up hazelnuts in the chocolate frosting so the flavor really stands out. This is definitely not a place to sit and eat but rather take to go. They have a good selection of cupcakes and limited cake selection but the pricing is fair for the cupcakes which are $3.25 each. If you pay by cash then you get 4% of your entire purchase. The guy who helped me was nice and friendly the service was good overall. Picked up 6 cupcakes for my friend's birthday which was about $22 with tax (credit) I didn't have cash to get the 4% off lol. Parking is abundant and it's free as they got their own parking a lot which is shared with other stores as well. I'm not fond of cupcakes at all but my best friend is and according to her " The Ferrero Rocher just kill me now because that was sooo freakin' good I practically swallowed it whole despite wanting to savor it slowly. Layers Bakeshop is a fantastic bakery tucked away in Elmont (much smaller location) and a Westbury location as well (much more spacious with seats). I got the lotus biscoff cake for my Mom's birthday and it was affordable and absolutely delicious. I loved the cheesecake/cake/lotus biscoff cookie proportions if that makes any sense haha. The employee working there was also super helpful and patient. I'll 110% be back for more special events that call for cakes and just in general (heard their sundaes are awesome)! read more

I had a sweet tooth and "Layers Bakeshop" was on my radar. I've noticed the place before, however, today was the day I was trying it! Parking lot isn't big, but for a small bakery, it was okay. The outside, didn't scream bakery to me. The dark colors almost made it invisible. If it wasn't for the sign, I don't think I would have noticed it driving by. Inside was much of the same. No energy, it didn't feel like a bakery. At the counter I was helped by a great guy. I asked what brownie he recommended and I went with his choice. He asked if I wanted a spoon because this thing was more like a cake. Again, I took him up on his offer and left with a spoon. Now let me say, if he baked these brownies out of a truck, I would buy it! It was fluffy and delicious. He definitely nailed the cake texture. I really enjoyed it. Next time however, I have to try to get this brownie home. Imagine heating it up and putting ice cream on top? There's not a lot of cupcake places that have frosting that blow me away. I usually find cupcakes with frosting that's too hard with heavy buttercream, which is there more for the decoration or visual appeal OR frosting that is too sweet where you taste and feel the actual sugar components crunching between your teeth. When I do find cupcake frosting that is decent...the cake itself is usually dry or bland. Layers cupcakes have BOTH! Their cake texture is moist and possesses the flavor of its cupcake name and their frosting is light, airy and delicious!!! I love their cupcakes in its entirety! This is the 2nd location that recently opened up. It's not as busy as the Westbury location. The space is also smaller and I feel like the side refrigerators are out of place. The KitKat bars on the KitKat cake also looked old and broken where you can see the wafers through the chocolate. The staff was really nice. First time we tried the Kashmiri Chai which came from a machine behind the counter. I don't recommend it but would try some other option one more time. I thought they would make it fresh or something from the back. We enjoyed the Lotus Tres Leches. The Lotus Biscoff and Ferrero Cupcakes were on point and had the same consistency as the Westbury location. read more

What a little gem! Its situated in a shopping plaza on busy road. We got the cupcakes and brownies. They had cakes and these shooter cups but we didnt try those. Cup cakes were very good. I'm pretty critical of cupcakes and don't give many a thumbs up but I was pleasantly surprised that I liked Layers cupcakes. They didn't have the usual super sweet buttercream instead their frosting is light, smooth and not too sweet but just sweet enough if that makes sense. Cupcakes are $3.95 each. I wish they had an all vanilla cupcake or a birthday cake, confetti cupcake but maybe they will next time?!
