Decided on Spring Rolls as a starter. They were superb. Three very large rolls stuffed with all kinds of fresh vegetables and chicken. Hoisin sauce with chopped peanuts was terrific. Could have made a meal out of them alone . I ordered the #11 Sweet and Sour KungPow Chicken with fried rice and two Crab Rangoon pieces. Chicken was fantastic, lightly breaded with a delicious sauce. Excellent choice. Wifey had #18 Thai Basal stir fry loaded with vegetables and chicken. Very pleasing to the eye and very tasty. Both dishes were large and had high quality fresh vegetables. Service was very attentive. At the end of the meal I asked the server who was cooking tonight. He immediately said, "my mother and sister." And you could tell the food was made with love and attention to detail. Highly recommend without any reservations. Can't wait to return. The food knocked our socks off. A real "gem."

It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it, right on the end of the ACE hardware building. Plenty of parking and it seems they do quite a bit of take-out business as well dine in for a limited amount of people- I think there were about 8 tables. I will say that they served the best Crab Rangoon's I've ever had to date. I believe there was onion in the mix, and visible meat. I almost placed a second order! My Pad Thai was also very flavorful and not too sweet. I decided on no spice, and that was a good call for me. The sauce that came with my husband's dish was, I'm told, very good but also quite spicy. I definitely would not have handled it well. The spicy chicken wings were addictive. Spice level was an 8 on 10 for me. Not too bad at first but my lips were on fire for a good 30 minutes after! Worth it though. I hope to come back on my next trip through Holmen, if you live in the area, don't sleep on this place. It's pretty legit and I'd place Taste of Thai in my top three places for great Thai cuisine.

We were the only customers with doordash orders coming through. The furniture are quite old. All the seats/ booths were pretty much ripped and uncomfortable. We ordered one spicy salmon roll and the sashimi deluxe. Food came out in a timely manner. However the rice was cold as if it just came out of the fridge. The spicy salmon roll would've been excellent if fresh rice was used. The sashimi cut was very generous. However a few pieces of the fish were either dry with no taste or it was extremely fishy. The miso soup was bland and tofu was quite big. I'm used to soft tofu but the soup had firm tofu so it tasted weird. The ginger dressing for the salad tasted like spicy mayo with chunks of ginger. Definitely different from normal salad any sushi place would offer. We weren't aware of the owner change. But the food is definitely different and not the same. Overall we left with a decent bill. But it'll probably be our last visit.

From our table adjacent to the sushi chefs I observed way too much filth for comfort. Again, I should have turned around and left. But being the eternal optimist, we stayed. We ordered one California Roll as an appetizer and two hot meals: Pork Katsu and Tempura Shrimp. The only dish I recommend is the Tempura Shrimp. The California Roll was disappointing, as the rice was too hard/crunchy.....not at all what I have experienced in the past. I have to agree with another yelpers review that said "I've had better sushi from a supermarket." The pork in the Pork Katsu was very very tough. And the rice on the side was similarly hard like the sushi rice. The only dish worth ordering was the Tempura Shrimp. It was not greasy and included a large array of fried vegetables. La Crosse deserves better than Sushi Pirate.
