Ordered take out for lunch. First time eating from Five Star and it was a disappointment. A Side pork belly in a small container was $11.99. Quite pricey for the quantity. And it wasn't cooked to crisp. The fat was very chewy and the container had a thick layer of oil so the meat was just soaking in fat over fat. Felt sick eating it but couldn't cook it more while at work nor did i want to waste money by throwing it away. First and last time ordering from there. Everything else on the menu was way over priced. $10 for two spring rolls is outrages. read more

I could eat here all day every day, the food is so delicious yumyumyumyumyumyumyumyumyum

The place seemed a little sketchy when we pulled in. We decided to give it a try anyway, and glad we did. We had the sesame chicken and beef pad Thai and it was great! read more

Oh dearie my, what a place. What food. It was awful. The only tasty thing in our meal were the crab rangoons. However, the rest of what we ordered was awful. We ordered pad thai and lo mein, and jesus that thing is flavorless. Actually, it tasted more like fish instead. Please wash your hands after using the restroom... oh god.... oh god.... anyways... It was the second worst tasting Asian food i've ever had in my life. No flavor except fish to EVERYTHING even when we didn't order fish and unappetizing fishy scents. What soap do your employees use in the shower? Anyways, this isn't five stars. More like one star. read more

Dastardly. Simply dastardly. I have never vomited more in my life. Actually, scratch that. Swe*t H@Us exists. But you, "Five Star" Eggroll, YOU are a close second. To start: the name. How dare you describe your establishment as a five star location when it is clearly below mid-par. It is simply outrageous nonsense that I can NOT stand behind. The "Pad Thai" was doused with a side of hair. Short, black, hair. The mere sight of it was so disturbing that I immediately ran to the potty and upchucked my guts. The Lo Mein tasted like vile fish. This is not five stars, it is zero. I can not stand behind you. I can not and I will not. Goodbye. read more

I had the chicken pho take out and it was just what I needed for a cold. It as delicious. You could tell the chef is top notch with the nice touches he put in the pho. I will definitely be going back here again. Highly recommend. read more

My wife had I had the pho, and also shrimp spring rolls and fried egg rolls. We had bubble tea for beverages. Everything was great. Some of the best bubble tea I've had. Lot of unique varieties, but we stuck with standard flavors - lychee and green tea. I would give it five stars except my one critique - the pho was heavy on broth and light on add ins. Service was pleasant. read more

I ordered take out from a doordash here. The menu on the site was not very easy to understand but I called in and the staff was so nice and took down my notes and got my order exactly as I wanted. I got the crab Rangoon's, green papaya salad, green curry vegetarian and shrimp fried flat noodles. All the food was tasty and fresh. I did not like the flat noodles but just because they are not my style, I misunderstood that there was no gravy in these noodles it's just straight fried and dried with a Smokey taste. The papaya salad is delicious it has tomato, peanuts and the sauce is the perfect level of garlic and sweet. I really really recommend you try this and the portion size is SO large! The green curry came with rice it was very good and nice assortment of vegetables. The crab Rangoon was heavy on the cream cheese with not a lot of filling; but it wasn't terrible by any means Overall this is a very tasty restaurant; a lot of choices and I look forward to going in person read more

I've gone here a few times and the food always tastes good and fresh. They also give you a pretty decent portion.

I was excited to try this place because I never made it to their food truck out in Holmen -- not disappointed! I got to sample a few different things that my friends ordered in addition to the green curry w/ tofu & veggie egg roll I ordered! Would definitely order egg rolls again and really liked the green curry - but was a bit too spicy for me so next time I will ask for mild/medium Was relieved when they said they did have tofu (not on menu) - it was cooked well! I tried the orange chicken sauce and it was super flavorful - tasted like there was orange peel or something, very fragrant and good! The crab rangoons were light, crispy, and delicious. My friends both said the fried rice was very good, too. I definitely recommend this place! Higher quality Chinese/Thai/Hmong food than other restaurants I've tried in the area. read more

Five Star Eggrolls - a woman sitting at a table with a plate of food - Thai Near Me - La Crosse, Wisconsin

I ordered pick up. I had to wait a bit but I didn't remember how long they said it would take. By some of what I would think are regulars they would walk in and get the order almost immediately. They knew how to time it. So I believe they are prompt. Food was good everything seemed to be fresh and good. I don't have Asian food that often, to me there just was nothing that memorable either. read more

This is by far the best Thai and Eggroll place in La Crosse. It used to be called Thao's and they changed the name but still amazing. Green Curry beef or chicken is great, lots of spice, the egg rolls are the best you'll find outside of the annual fundraiser for the Hmong cultural center. Staff is extremely nice and hard working, this place is moving quick to get orders filled and correctly. They deserve the 5 stars and if you're in La Crosse you got to try it read more

The best egg rolls? That's all you can say? YES, their egg rolls are quite impressive. Clearly the owner is a bit humble. Their Pad Thai is delicious, and their curry dishes are like a little piece of paradise. They have specialty beverages, some of which I've never seen anywhere else. Not much for parking and very limited indoor seating, and there are lots of cars coming and going because apparently half of the city is ordering take-out and door-dash from this place. I can see why. read more

Busy because it's the best. Awesome staff and awesome food! The bubble teas are my new favorite.

Best local Pad Thai! I get takeout from here often. The egg rolls are also crunchy, fresh, and delicious. Sometimes it can take a very long time to get food, so make sure you are prepared for that. read more

Order pho soup it was okay not great! Soup was light color almost water down. Noddles was sticky more than usual. Love the egg roll tho.

By far the best Chinese food I have ever had in my life! My friend and I go here every chance we get. I always get the sesame chicken dinner with fried rice and 3 crab Rangoons. The chicken is fresh and has a crisp "crunch" (so not soggy lol). It is amazing! The fried rice is very flavorful and great with the chicken. Highly recommend! read more

I tried the large pho combination. I am looking for climate, service, authenticity, creativity, and price. I scaled 0 to 5 for each category. Climate: 2- my table was sticky, and I felt crowded with the tables sat in the small space. Service: 2- I was only asked once about my foods, never refilled my cup. Authenticity: 2- I know that every restaurant has their own way of making their pho (broth and noddle), the broth was okay but the noodle was not authentic. Don't use noodles from prepackaged. Creativity: 2- I go to restaurants to experience something outside of my everyday foods and I did not experienced that. Price: 2- My portion was more of a medium and I ordered large. I ordered a combination. Meat not enough, shrimps (6) was okay, meatball (7) thinly sliced not enough. Recommendations: I would not recommend for you to order this dish. I would also suggest you to go and try out their pho at other restaurants to see where I am coming from. Hope this help/ read more

Name of the place says it all: this place has five star egg rolls! Made just the way we like them and similar to how we make them at home with cellophane noodles, lots of vegetables, and just a little bit of pork to give it great flavor. A new restaurant in La Crosse and we are very glad we ordered some take out via Eat Street. They have a lot of dishes that you would expect to see on typical Americanized Chinese food, but the dishes will actually contain flavor. The curry had coconut milk, lemongrass, and tons of spices making it mild, savoury dish. The flat Drunken Noodles was exactly how we ordered it, spicy enough to make my wife cry. I really enjoyed my sesame chicken. It was made with whole white meat and breaded perfectly. The only dish that was a little subpar, was the lo mein dish. It was a little heavy on the soy sauce and sugar. I think it did not have any sesame oil, which is something I typically expect to taste in the dish. Overall, we enjoyed all of our dishes and would recommend the majority of them. Do yourself a favor and just go ahead and order 12 egg rolls; you'll get one for free. This will be our go-to restaurant in the lacrosse area and we hope they keep up the good work. read more

Excellent place! We have been there twice. Crab Rangoons were amazing, hot and very tasty. Food was really good, service was pretty good. We waited a little longer than we should have the second time we went there but it is a small mom and pop place and I liked that. We will definitely be back. read more

We have had their egg rolls several times and they are consistently good. In our opinion they are the best in town

I understand being short staffed due to the coronavirus, so when it took an hour to get my food, I didn't complain. If its going to take an hour though, at least get the order right. Also, if ingredients run out, the customer should be made aware. I ordered pork spring rolls and got spring rolls with ham sandwich meat. Gross read more

The orange chicken was good. Could have been a little stronger in the orange favor. Portions were generous. The main problem was I ordered sesame chicken. I thought the waitress wrote down the wrong order. I checked the ticket and it said sesame chicken. It was evident that the wait staff were new. Hopefully this will improve with time. read more

The food they sent me was a joke, spring rolls were like rubber and 1 leaf of lettus a bunch of carrots and filled with noodles, 4 small shripm and the roll was like rubber. To make things worse when I called the nasty woman on the phone said I made her employee cry and said I was a liar. Rudely hung up on me twice read more

Ordered Sesame chicken with veggie fried rice and the taste wasnt there, very plain and dry.

I love spring rolls! We were driving by and I said why don't we order spring rolls? They were Loosely wrapped mostly rice noodles with nothing but a little lettuce and the little carrot.
