I've ordered sushi twice, and won't again. I'm from MPLS and have a somewhat-higher standard of sushi, and theirs is fairly squishy and not fresh tasting (I've tried both with fish and vegetarian and neither are really worth it in my opinion). HOWEVER, for a Japanese restaurant in a smallish town in the Midwest, their hibachi is GREAT and their apps are good as well. I order their vegetarian hibachi which comes with 2 large pieces of tofu, tons of veggies, fried rice, salad, and soup for ~$10... such a deal!! Their crab rangoons are pretty standard / good, same with their egg rolls, seaweed salad, etc. The restaurant is quite cute, too, so I would recommend eating in if you have the chance. Overall, don't order the sushi, but it is a cheap, tasty Japanese restaurant for everything else on the menu!

The miso soup was bland and tofu was quite big. I'm used to soft tofu but the soup had firm tofu so it tasted weird. The ginger dressing for the salad tasted like spicy mayo with chunks of ginger. Definitely different from normal salad any sushi place would offer. We weren't aware of the owner change. But the food is definitely different and not the same. Overall we left with a decent bill. But it'll probably be our last visit.

The restaurant has nice music playing which isn't so loud that you couldn't have a good conversation. I came at a weird time - 3pm, so it wasn't crowded at all.
