This one was no different, Calling in I asked if they had a part to fix the rear passenger shock mount as it had failed due to wear. A 20$ Item, 3 screws easily accessible, and 10 minutes of work with an impact driver and WD-40. After calling i was LIED to when the front desk had said that the shock i was looking for was fused and the 20$ part unfortunately has to be a 150$ entire shock replacement as well as an estimate of maximum 100$ for the labour. I took his word for it and agreed to the service.... little did I know.... this was not the case. I asked for my old part back and easily popped off the mount from the rubber gasket and made mention that I must not have had the "factory model" he talked about over the phone. Alas, after lying again and saying Mazda doesn't sell it separately, he shortly corrected himself a minute later saying that they do not buy them separately (no need to get it from Mazda, Napa sells the same KYB mount (Mazda's factory shock choice) or dorman substitute). Irregardless charging me 50$ more than the cost of the suspension. valuing his mechanics service at 300$/hr (took 20 minutes in total in/out while moving slower then a sloth) and openly lying to a customer you'd be better off at a Canadian Tire auto service. Heed WARNING to those who do not know different, speed and monetary cost is in the eye of the beholder and this Snake Oil salesman sells a bitter brew of lies.

Naively, I had the repair done at the shop the insurance company recommended, and was shocked at the cost (not borne by me). I stopped in at Paul's on the way home to compare notes as to what he would have charged. From then on, I've gone nowhere else. I was hit while stationary and obtained 3 quotes so neither the party at fault nor I would have to get our insurance companies involved. (Lesson: never drive pre-coffee.) I was referred here and one other body shop. Directs quote was dramatically lower. They were kind enough to hang on to the quote for a few weeks until I could arrange to bring my car in and leave it there while I was on holidays. They were kind enough to keep it for the length of my holidays! When I returned to pick up my car I was remarkably impressed at the work. The running rail, the quarter panel, the passenger door, and the forward bumper which I requested to be repainted, were complete. The work was excellent and one could never tell if there had been a repair. The paint in finishing matched to a T. What made this experience even more pleasurable aside from quality work at a fair price, was the owner Dougie, and his daughter, were kindkind and professional. They both took great interest to ensure that I inspected the car thoroughly before payment and insisted that I was happy with every detail. This is one totally satisfied customer.
