First Day Homecare has been a perfect fit for my family!…read more We needed last minute, reliable and compassionate care for my elderly mom and after talking to several agencies, I am so thankful I found Mitch at First Day Homecare. From the first consultation with Mitch, he showed genuine concern and understanding of my mom's needs. Mitch assigned Alice to care for my mom. Alice is not only a highly skilled CNA, but also incredibly patient and kind. She treats my mom with kindness, dignity and respect, making sure she feels comfortable and valued. Whether it's assistance with daily activities, medication reminders, cooking, running errands, taking mom to the Dr. or simply providing companionship, she goes above and beyond. Communication with the agency is seamless--they keep us informed and are always available to answer questions or adjust schedules when needed. Before finding this agency, I was so stressed about finding good, quality and affordable care for my mom. Knowing that my mom is safe, happy, and well cared for now with First Day Homecare gives us peace of mind. If you're looking for a home care agency that truly understands elderly care and treats clients like family, I recommended calling Mitch at First Day Homecare.

Use to work with a manger named Stacie who would curse out the clients and not even do her job! The office people lord don't let me get started! I don't know how this company is still open and most of the houses have bed bugs! They are filthy, unprofessional, rude, not a well company and they need to be shut down!

I use to work for this company as a caregiver. It was an ok company to work for HOWEVER my problem…read morewas that Tungland did not care for it's employees unless you were a manager other than that it was a constant fight to communicate with the higher-ups that worked in the office. There was this one incident that had happened where I was working at the DTA program and when one of the disabled members started hitting me and wouldn't stop none of the employees did anything about it but just stare and so after the member got tired and stopped it was than that I was told that no one was allowed to restrain the member because "that would have made it worse" and it seems as though the manager found the whole incident funny as she had a big smile on her face after she had spoken with me about the incident. And that was just one bad thing amognst others. The manager as well as some of the other employees was often rude to the disabled members and yelled at them constantly. She may argue that she was just stern with them but that was bullsh** because she always switched up and was friendly with the members anytime the family of the members were around. She also even called one of the members a bitch after one of the members had called her a bitch first which was not appropriate. Another thing I'd like to mention is that there was this one incident where I had caught her calling me a "stupid ass" behind my back to one of other employees now mind you I wasn't a bad worker, the disabled members loved me, I rarely called off or was late and always came in trying my best. So with that being said if anyone is considering working at the DTA program located on E Main St. Do not come here as there will be ALOT of gossip and jealousy and bullying (I have spoken with other employees about this manager/dta program and they all feel the same way even some of the disabled members have admitted to being scared or wronged by this manager) about you as well as one shit rule where they will not restrain a member if they decide to put their hands on you. Keep in mind that the employees of tungland are given training classes on how to restrain a member if this should ever happen but at this program they will just watch. As far as the houses go I have never had a real problem although it may vary depending on the manager your under and if the manager of this DTA program just so happened to be reading this Fuck you, you are immature, insecure, lazy and just not at all a good fit for caregiving, you be may have some people fooled but you don't have Jesus fooled and I will be praying every day that you get fired from this job. Her first name is Emilie, she is Mexican and on the heavy side I warn you, DO NOT WORK FOR HER AS SHE WILL CALL YOU NAMES BEHIND YOUR BACK AND WILL ROAST YOU TO OTHER EMPLOYEES WHEN YOU ARE NOT AROUND.
