As an ex-employee, I was discriminated against because of my age. I was not treated like the rest of the under 30-year-olds. They are now hiring them because they are underpaid; the 12 hour shifts wears on them is why there are so many NO SHOWS! Most of them get trained on Orientation day because They're desperate for Caregivers. Most of them do not follow protocol. they do not believe that baby boomers are the key to success. The scheduling coordinator, Holly and their nurse, Julie are running the show while HR, Elaine is positioned as a puppet. They play favoritism and we're not in high school anymore so I resigned. read more

My mother with severe dementia required constant monitoring at her memory care facility due to frequent falls. Nightingale was very professional and arranged a couple of caregivers for 10 hours per day several days a week. It turned out that we only needed the help for a couple of weeks, but we are very grateful for the excellent service we received from Nightingale to keep her safe in her time of greatest need. read more

Nightingale is the BEST! They have been a life-saver in helping our family through a very stressful time! Initially, Nightingale provided prompt, friendly and knowledgeable direction, and then readily sent us some amazing people to help us care for my elderly mother. We have had several of Nightingale's caregivers assisting us. Each caregiver sent to help Mom has been top-notch. Of course, we have a couple favorite caregivers, but it is comforting to know that we can call Nightingale on short notice and feel confident that the staff sent will be on-time, honest, good natured, and hard-working. I am equally impressed with the prompt scheduling and follow-up in my dealings with the office. Mom is now moving to assisted living, but the family is so impressed with Nightingale that we will probably continue to have them help Mom there, as well. Highly recommend. read more

Dear Nightingale owners and staff- This note is to say thank you. In late May I contacted the agency about possible help with my dad. My mom and his wife of 48 years passed away May 12. My brother and I moved dad in with us in Phoenix. We were completely overwhelmed. We both work full time but we wanted to make sure dad had the care he needed. From the first phone call, we were treated so kindly. The thoughtful nurses helped us get in home health aid, physical therapy, nurse care and occupational therapy. Every single person who has come to our home to help has been so kind, professional and lovely to be around. They all have been great at working with our schedules and the ADA issues in our historic home. Each time a new person or process came into our home, it made me, my brother and Dad all feel so thankful and relieved. You all have truly helped me and my very small family deal with a difficult time with such grace and compassion. I can't thank you all enough! Grateful to Nightingale for all the superior service and teamwork from all. After an initial 20 agencies considered, we vetted the very serious contenders to provide services for our elderly Mom with memory care issues. Nightingale Home Care was the clear choice and are we ever glad we chose them! For over a year and a half, their services have helped bring back our Mom from dire situations. From the first day we advised Beverly to move forward we have been blessed with Angels, as I call them. They have included home health care from Rebecca, Silvia, Judith, Shauntie and Maria, to therapists such as Ryan or Kristie just to name a few. Of course, placement wouldn't be possible without all the hard work from the team on the placement end or admin end like Krystal or Claudia. They have provided above and beyond care for Mom, allowing us to keep her at home and happy with Dad. These angels have become Mom's friends and confidantes in so many way and she looks forward to seeing each one again even before they leave. Of course, there may be rotations or changes in care but we've not been disappointed in the quality of care and professionalism shown by team at Nightingale. We always feel Mom's care is their priority. We also appreciate that there is daily and ongoing oversight of Mom's health and plan of care as well as regular assessment of her needs by admin. In addition, if an issue arises whether care is there or not, we can call on them for guidance or assistance. I cannot express how lucky and relieved we feel that we chose the right home care agency. Review update as of today! After the initial Yelp review, I was contacted by the administrator Jean. I spoke at length with Jean and expressed my concerns about the service my family and I were receiving. Jean was apologetic, sympathetic and made promises to make the further service much easier. To my surprise communication went smoother, for several weeks. After several weeks past, the old behavior from the facility returned. We had reached our limit for patience and I contacted the direct owner and sent Tom a lengthy email one evening. Tom responded quickly and we had a direct phone call with Tom and Jean the next day. Our call comprised of me expressing my concerns (again) and Tom requested thoughts of how I think the team can better serve my family. I provided him with thoughts and wants of being involved with scheduling purposes and anything for that matter. I can say the change of being involved with scheduling had been followed through. The one major concern I expressed when speaking with Tom and Jean, I stated my family and I felt our case manager was absent and was not an advocate for our situation, I also expressed the case manager had been MIA. Tom took the information down and stated it would be addressed. Jean stepped in and informed me she would regularly check in with me on a weekly basis for the duration of the service. I can confirm Jean did check in with me but, not on a weekly basis as she stated she would. The concern of our case manager being MIA, is still unsolved as that case manager NEVER followed up, NEVER checked in with his patient, NEVER called, NEVER! So, I am not sure whether the case manager had been talked to for his actions of not being an advocate for his patience or they simply brushed the concern under the rug. With that said, I have been asked to remove the negative review from this website as "it hurts their facilities reputation". I will give the facility a 3 star rating for making the efforts to making the remaining experience a bit better. However, in good conscience I cannot remove the review as I truly feel the service COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER! For a home health care facility, we the general public want the BEST service. We are families facing traumatic experiences with loved ones and their health problems; communication and feeling abandon from a facility we hire and turn to should not be one of those concerns. I as a customer should be able to lean on your shoulders and feel an overwhelming gratitude for you having my back. Unfortunately, I felt no feelings of gratitude but, felt helpless as we had to endure a few more months of battling our situation (what felt like) in a lonely island. Thankfully, our lives are back to normal and we no longer require your services. In the end, I will give your facility a 3 star rating but, would think twice before hiring Nightingale (private home care) again. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!! I only rated One Star because I couldn't rate Zero This is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of being forced to use under horrific circumstances. After 3 months of trying to set up therapy visits, for my Father who desperately needed help after suffering a massive stroke, they were unable to work with his Health Care provider and Doctor and begin the visits. They did not call me to confirm anything or give any status updates leaving me to continuously call over the subsequent 3 months, getting more and more desperate and upset and frustrated. The owner of the company heard my continuous frustration and denied service to Father after months of trying and told me to go somewhere else, with complete disregard for my Father's well being. He and they are very cold hearted and it is unbelievable they are in the Health Care industry. Instead of helping and offering assistance they don't bother setting up appointments or returning calls, and when you continuously ask them what's happening they cast you aside and tell you to go somewhere else when you are at your lowest moment of your life because your parent is dying....as they blame and point the finger at you and show zero care in the world. read more

Lies! Lies! Lies! This company denied my husband's request for home wound care. My husband was a victim in a HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT. The other driver left the scene before ambulance and police arrived. He was taken to the trauma unit and had a huge wound on his body that required 6 staples. Trauma unit and Dr at hospital said he needs home health care for the wound. This company has an employee by the name of CLAUDIA that told my husband they were "UNDERSTAFFED" and the help was "ON VACATION BECAUSE IT'S SUMMER" and they could not accommodate him, even after my husband directly asked her if this was due to his insurance. Apparently this is an industry standard response to patients whose insurance company does not pay 100% cost of the service. CLAUDIA works directly with the owners of this company and seems to represent and share those views as well. REMINDER All calls are recorded. What is your company in healthcare for if your patients are not your priorty? My family, friends and community are absolutely disgusted beyond belief by the lack of integrity, empathy and compassion from your company. This is very, very cruel indeed. read more

We have been using Nightingale for only a short time, but I have been very impressed by the kindness of Tina the Physical Therapist (PT) who has been helping my mom. Mom recently had a very bad morning and went into full melt down just as her PT was about to arrive. When Tina arrived my mom was still very angry and uncooperative, but Tina was kind, patient, and did a great job of deescalating my mom's emotions and thoughts. It really was a pleasure to hear the kindness and patience embodied in Tina's voice and words. I really appreciate what Tina did today. read more

Though Nightingale does not accept my dads insurance, Brandon continued a conversation with me in which he provided insightful information that would prove to be of great help in giving my dad a greater quality of life from his symptoms of Parkinson's. None of my dads many physicians had mentioned this particular device, that Brandon suggested based on his experience with client care. Brandon's attention to detail, experience and sincerity must be a real advantage for the services that Nightingale HomeCare can provide. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! There are many choices to find home health care - DON'T USE NIGHTINGALE! After many months of attempting to schedule services and communicate with the office staff, it is time for our family to hire a professional in home service, which clearly isn't Nightingale. They are unreliable, apathetic, and unprofessional. Don't expect much from these people expect to be treated rudely and to deal with their lack of dependability. They just don't care - its about how much they can bill for the services they send out. Other than that, they could care less. The people they send are never - yes, never - on time. So, the big picture of trying to use their services is a Nightingale nightmare. read more

WOW! WOW! WOW! I was in a panicked situation w/my 80-year old very ill mom, and the staff at Nightingale jumped into action immediately to help me. Terri talked me off the ledge (metaphorically), and sent over a nurse to evaluate my mom's condition. The nurse then communicated w/Mom's doctor, arranged for a private ambulance, and assured Mom and me that all was OK. This is customer service AT ITS BEST!!! A model for all businesses! We're going to need in-home care for Mom and I won't consider anyone else. Neither will my mom! She absolutely LOVED the nurse (Kierstan), and I am indebted to Terri, who was so amazingly kind and generous to someone who was completely freaked out. I don't have words in my vocabulary that can reflect my appreciation. read more

Nightingale disappointed me greatly, i recently try to apply for a job and even though elaine agreed i was well qualified for my job she said i was not choosen because of my past record almost 7 years ago. 7 years ago i was caught shoplifting food items at walmart. 700 dollars later i paid my constitutions to the store and court and got my record sponged by the judge but i still wanted to be honest with this company about my past. But since my misdeameanor i put my self through cna school in busted my ass to take care of my pt with the type of care i would want my family to treated with. But to them second chances is non existing, and mistakes dont matter. I was young and dumb but to them i felt it was irrelvant. It was irrelvant to them that i was just rewarded employee of the month for finging a chase envelope with someone rent money in it, it didnt matter that i worked so hard and well that i was promoted to the welcome cna and even took people through oriantation. It didnt matter that my job allow me to do staffing and RNA. No all that matter that 7 years ago i sadly shoplifted 18 dollar worth stuff from walmart. I worked in the nursing home all my career and as im currently an school for nursing i just wanted to get a chance to expand my knowledge and do what i love best. But i guess i wont with this company. Im not mad that i didnt get the job is that it was clearly said that i was well qualified for the position but since my past im not. When i ask her if there something i can do, get reference from Don or Adon or um she just rudly sad no and felt like she was trying to rush me off the phone. Oh well they lost the chance to have an hell of a Cna, who wouldnt stop to always put my best foot forward.
