Just as a warning to others, there is a mandatory nonsense pain class required for pain patients, a…read moreweekly class in the afternoons. I don't know how they can possibly convince people who work to attend those ridiculous classes. For instance, and I still have the handouts to prove this, the entire point of one class was to teach us about neuroplasticity, by doing exercises such as padding our heads and rubbing our tummies, and then changing the direction of the rub. This would supposedly reprogram our brains so that our pain would be better. It's a ludicrous money grab and I really think that they should not be charging insurance for those classes. I think they advertise it is complementary, but we all know that hours of professionals' time is not free. Additionally, although I was forgetting about that, having not been there since Dr Stearns unfortunately passed away, I called to inquire about how long they were booking out for ablation treatments, since this is what I normally received, after the initial appointment. The receptionist couldn't answer the question, and told me that I would need to speak with christina, and she could tell me, and I quote, what the average time to schedule a procedure is. I had waited 10 minutes on hold to speak with the receptionist, and then when he transferred me to christina, it was another 7 minutes, at which point the receptionist returned and said Christina would not be able to answer the question. When I was there before, I felt it was obvious that the office staff was poorly trained and unprofessional, and this on top of everything else made me decide to cancel my appointment. Good riddance.

That was until the Center for Pain and Supportive Care took over my pain management. I underwent surgery to have a Medtronic Pain Pump placed in my abdomen. it has changed my quality of life ten fold. I can go out and enjoy time with friends and family. I can cook and help around the house. I can take my daughter to lunch. None of these things possible without the care I have received. Best part, I don't have to feel loopy from the endless amount of pain pills I was taking previously. Thank You Jennifer, Dr. Gobi...you are directly responsible for my pain free existential and I am forever grateful.

I appreciate that they listen and are not close minded. The experience from the initial phone call…read moreto a new patient screener to the first appointment was exceptional. My complete history was documented and the physical was thorough. My experiences elsewhere were full of expectations that devices would be implanted as I was handed brochures to read up about them so that when the sales pitch came, I was somewhat knowledgeable about what they had planned for my treatment. Although I had been diagnosed with Neuropathy, I wasn't diabetic. They only assumed how they would treat my pain without an exam and just using the BUZZWORDS, my cure was in the brochure (which included surgery, physical therapy and THOUSANDS of dollars). The entire office staff were kind, courteous and pleasant to work with.

My referral was originally for specifically Dr. Nasser, however I was sent to a different doctor at…read morethis practice due to my old practice deciding to do away with their pain managment specialty all together. I understand that they have questions they need to ask as per their job and state/federal regulations on pain managment, however, Dr. Glenn sounded VERY accusatory from the git go. And i get it to some degree, I CHOSE to be on a medication that's typically given to people struggling with dependency/addiction, but id hope a doctor would be able to set their preconceived notions aside to effectively and correctly do their job and thats not why im on this particular med, im on it cuz It works better than traditional opiods and my prior pain managment doctor boasted about how its safer and id agree. But from the moment he saw my charts, things were off. I didn't realize right away that he didn't have ALL of my records, so when I was begrudgingly asked if I used recreational drugs, I said no, thinking that my open Marijuana usage was listed and he could see it, Dr. Glenn clapped back with "you've never done recreational drugs" (as if I was lying) I responded with "I mean as an adult, no. As a teen yeah, what teen doesn't" and Dr. Glenn asks what i tried as a teen (my last teen year was 13 years ago mind you) I gave him the information he was asking for. We move on to him asking if I'd ever received surgery for the things im complaining of, answer was no. Then I get told "well if I had been told I have significant narrowing of the hip space joints, I'd have gone and got surgery" i interrupted at that point and said "today's march 11th, I wasn't told about the hip space issues until february 25th... there hasn't been enough time to figure things out". Which i would assume, if he had access to that specific record, he likely had access to see when imagining was actually taken, but maybe im wrong. He asks me to take UA as normal for pain management and told me he wasn't gonna have me sign a pain managment contract "in case things didn't work out"... fast forward to march 25th, my next appointment with him (he wanted to see me when I was supposed to have a refill of meds) I drive the hour from my house to the facility (which Dr. Glenn was made aware in march 11th appointment that I lived an hour away) once i make it inside im told that they cant complete the appointment because they dont have my records. To which they send another request and ask me to reach out to my pcp, which I do before leaving the parking lot on the 25th. 26th I hear from my PCP that records were already sent, 27th I call az pain treatment to set up a new appointment, while on the phone with the receptionist, i explain that the doctor canceled my 3/25 appointment because he "didnt have all my records", to which the receptionist informs me "i must have misunderstood because they have all my records from what she can tell", i explained thats verbatim what the lady at the front desk said, my husband was standing right there when it was said, definitely not a misunderstanding" and she said "hmm thats weird, you chdck all our boxes for setting up an appointment so we will go ahead and set one up for you". The appointment was set for March 31st. The 31st rolls around and I at least got a phone call this time, telling me not to drive the hour away, because "Dr. Glenn thinks you're not fit for our practice, and that you need to go to orthopedic surgery" Being that my pcm used to be a pain managment doctor, they found that odd as they were trained to avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary, especially for someone in my age group. That being said, I feel more so that this doctor thought I had other issues, and wrote me off from the git go and if that's not the case, then his bedside manner is seriously lacking. Even if I had a drug dependency/addiction issue, being accusatory isn't actually helpful. But aside from that, ive been in therapy over 10 years and continue to go because of the addiction that runs heavily in my family, I wanted to make sure to never be like my parents and ive done a really good job at that, and I'll be damned if I get accused of anything im not doing let alone something ive actively worked towards avoiding my entire existence. Needless to say, im thankful it didn't work out and that I didn't sign a pain managment contract with Dr. Glenn. I do wish I had been given the opportunity to see Dr. Nasser, I hear he's nice and who I thought I was seeing until I spoke with my PCP again today. They are all so caring! They went above and beyond to help my mother get immediate pain relief…read more When our chiropractor contacted Juli Curtin, the Senior Regional Marketing Manager, to urgently arrange an appointment, Juli not only made it happen the very next morning but also followed up the next day to check on my mother. Her genuine concern, compassion & empathy were evident as she explained that she too had an elderly mother, and she cared so much. This experience marked the beginning of the outstanding care my mother received at AZ Pain. Violetta Melkum has an extensive experience and thoroughly explained my mom's CT scan from SMIL using the model of the spine until we could fully understand all of the problems, what could be treated, and being honest about what could not. The first visit included a pain-relief shot and a professional back brace, all covered for just $30 dollars with Medicare! Dr. Jensen is so highly recommended that we are again very fortunate to have him perform the epidurals, and are grateful to Sophia Diego, the scheduler to get my mother into the schedule so quickly. Believe me, when you have debilitating pain, every day seems like a month. AZ Pain "bends over backwards" to relieve your back pain! And I love how the receptionist always says in such a warm & cheerful voice, "Hi Miss (and your first name)!" to every patient. Impressed and respectful of every aspect of AZ Pain, I'm confident in entrusting them with my own back pain once I can step away from my caregiving responsibilities. It should go without saying, but check to make sure that that accept your insurance For Medicare users - minimal co-pays cover the exceptional care you receive. I did, my test showed L4 and L5 vertebra, the top one was rocking over the bottom one putting pressure on my bladder, causing the frequent urination!!! That was a Friday, Dr Pitt said you need emergency surgery on Monday at 4:00pm!!!! I didn't hav back pain, I was a strong 66 year old, no health issues, not over weight, worked out etc. If I had not had the surgery, and the vertebrate slipped, I would have been paralyzed.! The bladder nerves were being damaged- called the Cauda Equina syndrome! Prior to surgery Dr Pitt explained I may have permanent bladder damage and may have to wear a colostomy bag. After 6 hours of surgery, not only did he repair my spine with fusion, a titanium cage etc, he was able to save the nerves affecting my bladder!! Dr Pitt and his office during my rehab and months of wearing a brace were so kind and always explained everything in detail to me, including reviewing my x-rays in the Office! I am grateful to Dr Pitt and his group for having the knowledge and immediate reaction to my condition. Lawsuit Update: Per…read morethe Judges findings: "We acknowledge that" plaintiff's "allegations describe a troubling scheme whereby Waychoff defrauded "plaintiff's "insurer. But the insurer is not a party, and" plaintiff "failed to sufficiently allege that she suffered personal harm as a result of the claimed fraud." From what I understand, I could not be a victim of fraud because personal injury doesn't fall under fraud damages and I only paid for co-pays. I was informed my insurance company would be the victim of the fraud. Facts: In the lawsuit, Pierce Waychoff stated he never treated me. He proved care to me at every appt except 1. Waychoff provided massage therapy, chiropractic adjustments, took my blood pressure, took my x-rays, provided me with a neck brace, back brace and TENS unit. Pierce Waychoff talked to me about almost every treatment I received. My medical records were forged in multiple ways. I was signed up for a 5-year prescription for multiple pain creams. Apparently, I was never expected to be out of pain. PIerce Waychoff told me I needed to take a "mandatory" drug test before I could be prescribed pain medication. I advised I was already on pain medication from the ER. Waychoff told me it was state law. This is false. The drug test was $10k and my insurance would not cover it. This conversation was recorded, which is not a crime as I was a party to the conversation. AZ is a 1-party consent state in regards to recording others. I was repeatedly lied to. I was told I was going to get a blood test. I asked for what. He stated it was a general blood test to check my liver, thyroid etc. In reality it was a very expensive DNA test my insurance would not cover. I was told I needed a nerve conduction test. I had it on the effected arm but he insisted I do both arms. I did both. He then insisted I do both legs and I refused. I was given an expensive allergy test despite being there for shoulder pain. I was misdiagnosed with a neck issue when in fact I had a slipped rib. Pierce Waychoff personally gave me a massage and jammed his thumb into the bend of my elbow and was popping something around while I writhed in pain. I later had to receive treatment by AZ Spine Disc and Sport to treat the damage he caused. Any medical professional who heard what he did was appalled and said they couldn't think of a valid medical reason for what he did as that area of the arm/elbow is known to be a hazard/no touch zone. I left Pain Stop North Phoenix because I was repeatedly lied to, misdiagnosed, given unnecessary medical treatments and injured. I was in pain for 6 weeks. I left Pain Stop North Phoenix and went to AZ Spine Disc and Sport and was properly diagnosed immediately...within a few minutes of seeing the doctor. AZ Spine Disc and Sport got me out of pain within the week. Since I left Pain Stop North Phoenix I have been contacted by approximately a dozen patients stating they had similar experiences and I am aware of other lawsuits. My attorney was Paul D. Friedman. Complaints can be filed with the AZ Attorney Generals Office, FBI (they handle medical insurance fraud cases) and AZ Chiropractic Board. https://chiroboard.az.gov/complaints
