Finally, after being in severe pain for six months, and doing five months of physical therapy, I went into see Dr. Boothe. He worked on my shoulder, and I got more out of it than five months of PT. He continued to work on me a couple of times a week and encouraged me to get a cortisone shot. I stopped PT because it really wasn't helping at all. I had my office visit with Dr Gough back in November and was thoroughly impressed by him and his staff. Go look up his YouTube videos and see the passion and desire to help folks like me alleviate chronic pain. I had another visit with one of his PAs, Eric and he was super helpful as was Heather, who is also awesome. My hip replacement was yesterday, January 11, was delayed three weeks due to COVID cases, and I feel fantastic. I was in and out the same day and was shocked at how easy it was to walk with a walker. I felt like I didn't need a walker, but used it and will use it for a bit longer for safety sake. Dr Gough uses the Direct Superior method. The incision is made on the buttocks and it's only about three or four inches long. By using this method, recovery time is quicker and pain management is easier.
