I am so fortunate to have found Dr. Hanks about 5 years ago after "auditioning" several other local chiropractors that were not effective in treating and improving my neck and shoulder discomfort that had reached a crisis point after a car accident in 2013. I first came to Hanks Chiropractic in 2018 or 2019 and have been a regular and longtime customer since then. I now find that continued treatment is necessary, in my case, and it has definitely improved and eliminated my discomfort from long ago. It has other beneficial improvements to my life as well, so I keep returning, even though I have limited insurance coverage for the visits and I pay out of pocket. The staff is very caring and personal to all the patients and even remembers everyone's first names even though they may not have seen them for a while. So the fact that there are so many longtime patients also speaks to the quality of care they are receiving. from the team at Hanks Chiropractic Center. read more

I started seeing Dr Hanks a couple weeks ago and I have had significant improvement. I sit all day for work and have sciatica, shoulder tension, carpal tunnel to name a few issues. Dr Hanks takes the time to explain the issues he sees, recommended treatment and always makes sure my questions and concerns are addressed. His adjustment are right where I need them. The staff are always so cheerful, professional and helpful. I'm able to make an appt during my working hours due to their professionalism and efficiency. Adjustment and therapy take 15-20 min tops. Always on time! I highly recommend Hanks Chiropractic! read more

Great chiropractic care! Dr. Hanks is an experienced doctor and knows what he's doing.

He was able to get me right in.I have lower back pain I've had for over 50 years on and off. I like the fact he's local.

I have been receiving treatment by Dr. Hank and the staff at the chiropractic center for dizziness, Vertigo, pain in my lower back and stiff neck. After the second treatment, my dizziness has stopped, and I have not had a Vertigo event. My back continues to improve with each treatment and therapy session. When I began my sessions, I could painfully turn my head about 50 degrees in either direction but now I can turn my head up to 75 degrees with much less pain. The staff at Hanks Chiropractic are friendly and well trained. They greet me as if I am one of the family and then provide expert, professional care. Gary read more

I started seeing Dr. Hanks in April of 2023. I used to feel tension in my mid back often with a need to pop it 10-20 times daily and my neck used to become very sore, sometimes stiff where I couldn't turn it properly. After a few weeks both of these issues were nearly fully resolved. He truly cares for his patients with a thorough understanding of their condition, and if you're lucky he'll tell you one of his many jokes . I recommend him fully. read more

Pain did not deliver me to Hanks Chiropractic several years ago. Rather numbness did, after progressing from my right little finger up the heel of my palm past my wrist. That first visit included X-rays and a consultation on the condition of my entire spine as well as treatment for the numbness described earlier. I recall Dr Hanks informing me that he could not fix the arthritis in the cervical section of my spine, but could remedy the numbness. He did. Dr Hanks convinced me that during that first visit I needed to make chiropractic care a regular part of my health regimen and I have been getting treatment from him and his associate, Dr Hobbs, since. They have treated a variety of problems and helped me maintain the overall health of my spine. Probably the most serious problem requiring Dr Hanks involved my lumbar region. Thirty years of pounding around volleyball courts had finally taken their toll. While an MRI revealed a disc compression, the radiologist missed the synovial cyst at L4-L5. Pressure from the cyst on my spinal cord caused the nearly excruciating pain radiating down my left leg to my knee. Dr Hanks correctly diagnosed the cyst while examining the MRI and suggested that decompression therapy might provide relief. It did. My regular visits have become immensely important in maintaining my spinal health and, I believe, keeping me off the surgical table. I consider my visits to Drs Hanks and Hobbs every bit as important as my dental checkups and annual physicals. read more

Hanks chiropractic has made a huge difference in my life. Three years ago I decided to make my first appointment. My neck and back have never felt better. I am now on a maintenance plan. I go once every 2 to 3 weeks for a "tune up." I highly recommend Dr. Hanks and Dr. Hobbs. read more

God bless this man. Not only are his chiropractic skills amazing.... He is a truly kind and empathetic person. When he realized that I needed more than the 2 standard X-Rays, he didn't even charge me for the extra ones because he knew my insurance wouldn't pay and that I couldn't afford them. Not to mention that my entire visit was practically free because he was running a canned food drive and offering free exams in exchange for food donations for the hungry. All from the kindness of his heart. He gave me the best adjustment that I've ever had and he was charismatic and friendly the entire time! This man is truly a blessing, and I am looking forward to being a regular patient of his. Not to mention EVERY SINGLE girl working there was an absolute sweetheart. These people are truly happy to do their job. read more

Dr. Hanks has been my chiropractor since March 2017. I found him through my insurance and later discovered that he came highly recommended from my neighbors. Him and his team are professional, friendly, and highly skilled. I'm usually in and out within 45 min if not less. And when the wait is long, I enjoy a complimentary snack, usually bananas or a sweet treat in the waiting area. One time, I brought my infant son and the staff behind the desk gladly looked after him while I was being treated. If you are looking for a chiropractor, don't hesitate with Dr. Hanks! read more

Dr. Hanks has been my chiropractor for almost a year. I went in because I hurt myself at the gym and was hoping he could fix it. However, with x-rays he showed me with X-rays where my back I was actually crooked! He asked me if I had a serious injury about two years ago. I had actually been in a very serious car accident two years prior to that visit. Since then he has corrected my back and has helped my neck pain due to my job. His ENTIRE staff is friendly and they have never treated me like a number. Sometimes my two youngest girls have to come with me. They are the ages two and four. Sometimes they can be distracting and in the way. But instead of the staff getting irritated or rude, they help entertain them and love on them. What more could you ask for? The people in this office truly do care about their patients and that's what it's all about, isn't it? read more

I highly recommend Hanks Chiropractic, specifically Dr. Hanks. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his profession, which truly shows in how he cares about the well being of his patients. I have never experienced such high quality chiropractic care in my life! Not only is Dr. Hanks friendly and eager to address your ailments, but he wears his joy for his job on his sleeve. I have never felt rushed and Dr. Hanks took considerable time to ask pertinent questions about my care and to educate me on his goals with my treatment. He is so passionate about his work and it shows in the quality of his adjustments and detailed level of his care. He has also has taught me about the problems associated with my spine and posture. When I first started seeing Dr. Hanks I was having pretty severe SI Joint pain and lower back pain not to mention migraines. I have had scoliosis my whole life but it really didn't start affecting me until I was about 50. After years of pain meds and thinking I was going to have to learn to live with chronic pain I can truly say I am pretty much pain free most of the time since starting my care with Dr. Hanks. I was willing to put in the necessary time and treatments and it has paid off. An added bonus is I no longer have migraine headaches and I am sleeping better than I have in twenty years. Coincidence?? I don't think so! Another bonus is, I live in Lake Highlands and it takes me five minutes to get to his office! Every single person that works in the office is kind and talented - each a pleasure to speak and work with. I truly believe that everyone under Hanks Chiropractic roof cares about healing people and helping with the process of recovery. Every time I go to see Dr. Hanks I leave feeling 100% more comfortable and pretty much pain free. I am confident that my life would be so much less without Dr. Hanks. I go to yoga five times a week and walk about 5 miles per day. Super active or not, I highly recommend anyone in search of a fantastic chiropractic experience to book an appointment and give him a try. read more

If I could give Dr. Hanks a 100 I would! He is one of the kindest and most generous people I have met in DFW and he's an Amazing Chiropractor! His staff is amazing as well & he helps teach graduated Chiropractors in learning patient care and he only picks the best! I have many great stories to tell you - but the one story that I will always be grateful to Dr. Hanks is when my eldest son's face literally got stuck from laughing with his brother on the way home from Colorado. My father is a chiropractor in Tampa FL and I knew I needed to take him to a chiropractor to get checked out. So first thing in the morning I drove him to Dr. hanks office - Dr. hanks immediately said its Bell's Palsy - he took a tool that he uses to stimulate the blood flow back to his face pinpointed the problem area - he said to take him home and it should go back to normal in a few days. I also took him to his pediatrician he was about 12 at the time. His Pediatrician actually got mad at me and said why would you take him to a chiropractor - blah blah. But I know the power of finding the problem - working on the area and letting the body heal itself. The Pediatrician told us that it could take 4-8 weeks for his face to go back to normal and maybe NEVER! I was mortified by her answer - I just took him home and prayed for his face to go back to normal. Sure as I am writing this within a few days his face went back to normal!!! I cannot thank Dr. Hanks enough for helping my son and fixing his face. He has always helped me, my children and friends. I cannot recommend Dr. Hanks enough - 100 stars!!!! read more

I wish I could give Dr. Hanks and his staff a million stars! Dr. Hanks is hands down the absolute best chiropractor EVER. My husband has been going to see him for years, though I just started a few months ago myself. Unlike other doctors, he'll never try to sell you products or services that you truly don't need, always lets you know what's going on during your adjustment, is extremely thorough, and has a tendency to throw in complementary services just because he's that awesome. My husband and I both have desk jobs (he's an attorney, I'm a paralegal), and sit in front of a computer way more than we should during the week. That said, he and I both have something called "forward head syndrome". I used to get terrible tension headaches on a daily basis, and was even starting to experience numbness in my hands and lower back (for only being 23 years old, that's rather scary!). After receiving adjustments from Dr. Hanks for only a few months, the numbness is completely gone, and my headaches occur less than once a week now if even that! Additionally, Dr. Hanks took them time to teach us better habits regarding where and how we hold our heads, and what we can do to help put the proper curve back in our spine. His outstanding service and treatment shows just how much he really cares about his patients. On a side note, Dr. Hanks also happens to be one of the most upstanding, honest, ethical and genuine men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and knowing. Every month, he hosts some kind of food collection, toy/clothing drive, etc, and not only does he give all of the proceeds to charity, he also gives his patients a huge discount for bringing something in to contribute to his cause. My husband and I moved out of Dallas over a year ago, and even though we now live over 30 miles away from his office, we would rather make the hike to see Dr. Hanks than go see anyone else. I would DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Hanks!! read more

I have been a patient of Dr Hanks for years and a friend much longer since we both went to school and grew up in Lake Highlands. He has built a practice that no one in the area can match. His style of FULL SPINE adjustment from the top of your head to your toes is the only way to go. Recently I hurt my back by simply picking up a large flower pot. Then after seeing by family doctor, getting 2 shots I still lost 2 days of work before going in to see him. After confirming my problem with x-rays & a thorough update on my current medical status, he adjusted my WHOLE SPINE and was remarkably better within 24hrs and after my second adjustment the next day, I was able to go back to work the following week without any problems. Last but not less, his crew that works for him is the best, front to back, they rock. I will always be a life long patient & friend. read more

I Was suffering from a pinched sciatic nerve. I had been to my physician and was given pain medicine and exercises to do. After about 6 weeks I was still in a lot of pain and it was extremely painful to walk. I had never been to a chiropractor but decided to give Dr. Hanks a try. After an excellent and thorough consultation, I decided to give it a try. After about 3 weeks the pain from the pinched nerve was gone. I have ongoing lower back issues but after about 5 weeks I have noticed definite improvement. An additional side effect has been that a numbness I have had for several years in my feet has actually subsided. I wished I had tried a chiropractor earlier. I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I love this Practice and feel like I am part of the family. I have been going to Dr Hanks for a year and a half now and he has helped me through half marathon training and my first pregnancy (not all at once :)). I look forward to getting adjusted because I know how much better I am going to feel after, especially in those last few weeks of my pregnancy. I couldn't imagine going though my pregnancy with out being adjusted, I have a petite body and I ended up having an almost 10 pound baby, plus I am an outside sales rep. My job is not easy to do when you are carrying a baby! I couldn't have worked right up until my baby came without Dr Hanks. I am now getting back into running and I continue to get adjusted weekly. I wish that I could give this place zero stars. These quacks seriously F-ed me up! I went from really bad to unbelievably miserable at the hands of these "health professionals." I absolutely love Hanks chiropractic. First off, Dr Hanks and his staff provide excellent service professionalism and makes your visit there an enjoyable one. I started going there about a year and a half ago when I was having trouble with the pinched nerve in my back that was leading two other problems with numbness in my legs hands and severe pain. Going to an emergency room only for the doctor to shoot me up with strong medication while it took away the pain temporarily and never fix the problem and seeing Dr Hanks and having my back adjusted was the best thing I could have done for myself and the pain is gone completely. Dr Hanks and his staff ensure that you fully understand the process in which is going to take to get you back to your full potential and allows you to understand everything he's going to do before he lays a hand on you so you go into the experience fully trusting him and ready to get yourself 100% again. read more

I can't say enough about my experience here. I've had lower back pain since my late 20's, and when it would act up I would rest for a few days, maybe go see my family chiropractor to get adjusted and be fine. After having my daughter I started experiencing pain for longer periods of time. I searched for a chiropractor and initially found one close to my house, but he only adjusted my back and never even did any x-rays. HUGE red flag. So, I got onto Yelp and found Dr. Hanks...I read all the reviews and was intrigued. I did a few more days of internet research and decided to give him a shot. I am so glad I did. I've never had a chiropractor be so thorough with me in my initial appointment and once Dr. Hanks explained everything to me, we came up with a plan of attack! Here I am 1 month from my original visit and I couldn't be happier with my progress. My back has never felt better. I don't just go in for adjustments, Dr. Hanks and his team are committed to helping me gain my strength back as well and we do various exercises for that. Also, all the girls in the office are incredible as well. Everyone gets to know you, remembers your name, and they all genuinely care about your well being. I HIGHLY recommend. read more
