This place is great and easy to get in for simple adjustments. I wish their hours opened earlier to come in before and after work.

Dr Walter is one of the few chiropractors that can adjust my jacked up back and hips. I am so grateful for his care over the last several years as I would not be able to maintain the quality of life that I enjoy today without him. Every chiropractor has a different style, but Walter has the height and strength needed to due deep adjustments that help me walk and bend properly. Most Dr's are not on his level. Alyssa is great, but this new guy and Matthew just rejected to adjust me with a smile and showed zero empathy. Im in pain and I guess Mathew is a lawer since he stated if he adjusts me, my current injury lawsuit will be "messed up" and that my attorney will sue them for "care" implying that I was trying to pay using my insurance or with the lawsuit idk what he was trying to get at. I can afford to pay cash and stated im paying cash even prior to him "making a call to management". Ive literally already spoken to my attorneys about coming here and they didn't bat an eye. this place is a nightmare. I have never wrote a bad review but this time I have to. I walked in for one adjustment, they trick me into a membership. After a bs adjustments from different "chiropractors" my very simple condition worsen and I decided to pay good money for my usual one. they refused to take my termination notice, that I have to come back EXACTLY THREE DAYS AROUND THE TIME I originally signed up! I rather never went back to get adjusted. On THE day of the renewal I came to discontinue and they told me that they have to charge another month. This place is an absolute joke. All they care about is giving you an "adjustment" in approximately three minutes followed by a sales pitch from the front desk lady to buy six more sessions. I had a pinched nerve (didn't know it at the time) and I got two bs adjustments from them. They spent zero time diagnosing me, instead treating me like they do every person that walks in the door. Well, ln my opinion. the Skillman branch that l bought a 7 visit package for app.117.00 seems to me to be staffed with under experienced "doctors". However, the employees were doing their best to make me feel comfortable, They were Professional, Courteous, and they are qualified at what they are doing. Im probably going to end up being their toughest customer. Having experience with real professional doctors in the past unlike the two "doctors" l have had trying to adjust me, left me feeling as if l just received a partial adjustment. There is no initial machine massaging or any type of pre adjusting therapy. Literally 5 minutes of " adjustment and sent me on my way left me feeling ripped off. I realize several visits are required but the amount of time spent on me was way under any other adjustment lve ever had. And l have had at least 100 during my lifetime. I'm am a senior and l appreciate them working in me at all since I'm pretty stiff these days but the joint seems to be a cattle call system concentrating on debiting your account more than their desire to heal you. My fault but l didn't realize l had signed a automatic withdrawal in the initial paperwork. They did provide me with a little paper informing me if l wish to discontinue the automatic withdrawal process l had to do it before such and such a date which was borderline professional practice, but at least l caught it. I was disappointed with the strength, knowledge and ability of the technicians so far but mabey they were just going easy on me because of my age even though lm quite fit for my age. But the time spent on me during the "adjustment" was way to short to gain any ground in the near future. I think to much emphasis on selling packages and not enough time spent to elevate the problem. Long story short, l didn't pay much and l didn't get much so far. The issues l mentioned are common with a start up business / company. They can spend more time with the patient and keep people like me coming back. As far as the common man, this might work for you. But lll probably go with a singular experienced, seasoned Chiropractor. OK went in on Tuesday for my second last "adjustment" from my 7 visit package. I was shocked when the "Female Dr" PULLED MY SHIRT UP OUT OF MY PANTS WHILE I WAS LAYING FACE DOWN AND USED IT AS A SHIELD TO PREVENT ANY SKIN CONTACT BETWEEN HER HANDS AND MY NECK. I WAS PRETTY DISAPPOINTED THAT SHE DIDN'T USE GLOVES OR A TOWEL. THAT MOVE TOTALLY TURNED ME OFF. TO INAPPROPRIATLY MOVE SOMEONES CLOTHING IN THAT FASHION CONVINCED ME THAT THIS "TEC" HAS LITTLE EXPERIENCE AND OR NO RESPECT FOR HER CLIENTS. IM GOING WITH A THUMBS DOWN ON THE JOINT. For new patient BEWARE! They will get you for signing up a new session for amazing deal. But their is a catch, thinking it will be ending your payment right after your session end. You have to remember, front desk will not discussed with you that you need to cancel before it end if you are no longer needed their service, otherwise it will put you to re occurring monthly bills for 89$ and when it charged you will not get your money back, and no matter if you use it or not. I did not ask for the re occurring session, but not in my knowledge they also put me on the re occurring monthly bills. I had to stop because it was not really helping me, and getting it worse, so I have to stop. Me thinking I already paid the whole session, and that was it. Then I thought wrong. Very disappointed in the level of customer service received at the Joint and was planning on continuing service. Spoke with someone upon entering. They made it EXTREMELY clear that I would be receiving four visits for around $85. (This was towards the end of the month.) Early July, I start using my sessions. They explained that they are month to month, and I also noticed another charge for the month of August. They would not refund my money. I canceled my service. This was never explain to me! I was adjusted so hard I actually threw up from the pain and was bruised. I was told over and over that the issues were my shoulders and to come every day. I must give a mixed rating of this business. I chose the wrong chiropractic "type" business because I was not familiar with changes that have occurred in them in recent years. As has been stated by others, this is a place that provides services/care best utilized by younger people without years of physical maladies that have been complicated by use and age. They employ rotating practioners you may encounter only once and the sessions are short, utilizing techniques that MAY be helpful. If you have long standing orthopedic problems, recently complicated by activities, you would probably receive more thorough relief by going to a regular chiropractic clinic. I learned I was continuing to be charged via a "contract" for services I thought were terminated months prior. There was some difficulty getting a refund from the branch I received care from but did succeed in getting an appropriate refund after I involved the corporate office (The person who helped seemed to understand my particular circumstances). So I think it is appropriate to say, choose your type of care/service thoughtfully and pay attention to the written line! read more

I appreciate the Chiropractic care that I received but I am not happy with how they have handled memberships and charges during COVID. When COVID first started going around I was no longer planning on using their services. I asked if I could sign their cancellation form via fax and or email. They said I needed to come in. Then as we all know everything shut down. I called today to ask that since it seems the spread of COVID is getting worse if I could please cancel via email or fax, they said yes but were not willing to refund any of the charges over the last 4 months. I've been coming here for a few months and it's been great! They really have a great deal going for about $80 a month for 4 sessions. Most chiropractors charge about $50 a visit so if you need to go get an adjust twice or more a month then it's really worth it. I've been working with Dr. Aaron Martin and he's been great. They keep this practice very clean and make sure to extra sanitize equipment after each use. Please give this place a look if in need of chiropractic services. read more

Unfortunately my first visit to any Joint Chiropractic was here at the McKinney Ave location. The facility itself was very nice but my adjustment was very poor. Dr. Clark adjusted me and quite literally seemed like she had never adjusted anyone before. I am open to giving the company another try I just will not be using Dr. Clark as I left there wondering why I had just paid for an adjustment that adjusted nothing. I am beyond thrilled to have found The Joint. Especially this location in West Village. Both Kayla and Brent are fantastic and really understand their craft. I have received great adjustments from each of them. What I love the most about The Joint is the price and the concept. The monthly plan is $69 and includes four adjustments. It helps me stay aligned and keeps my body feeling great. Initially, I came into the The Joint because of serious neck and shoulder pain. By the third visit I felt more like myself. The Joint makes chiropractic easy and affordable for everyone. This particular office is one of the better ones. Both chiropractors are good here, but I am partial to Dr. Kayla. Although they are quick appointments, she really listens and takes into account what you want (I am actually a little iffy on some things, but Hubby wants serious muscle in his adjustments, and she takes care of us both well). I had signed up for the wellness plan back in June, but have only been here once for an adjustment. The lady who signed me up said that I get 4 sessions a month that I can use whenever I want for $79 a month. However, she did not mention that if you don't come in within the month, you loose those sessions. They apparently do not role over month over month. I asked for a refund, and they said no because I had signed a contract. So now I am out over $200. I truly cannot believe that anyone would think this was a fair practice for their consumers. I desperately wanted to have a good experience and find a long-term chiropractor that fit our needs. I called in advance inquiring about how to schedule a consult and new patient appointment. I was informed they only take walk-ins and they reccomend "around" an hour" for the first appointment. I specifically confirmed and asked if we came an hour before close if we could still get in. The super cheerful girl on the phone confirmed that as long as we arrived "around" 6pm, they would love to get us in. Due to inaccurate google map directions, we walked in the door at 6:04pm! We were immediately told that they had a very strict time policy and since we came past 6pm, we could not be seen. There was not a lot of empathy and we were told we should have known. Since there were two of us, I asked if just my son could get a consult. There was no budging. It was completely disappointing. I understand company policies, but I sure hope 4 mins was worth the 4K they just lost from two people that would have been long term patients. If you are going to use vague language and assure people over the phone, you better be willing to follow through. Sad day. DO NOT GO HERE Weeks ago I went in and when he adjusted my neck, a sharp tingling shock went through the right side of my face. I woke up the next day and I was in severe pain and sore and the right side of my face was numb. Weeks later, my face is STILL NUMB, I've had to pay for MULTIPLE DOCTORS VISITS, X RAYS, and now a SPINE SPECIALIST AND PHYSICAL THERAPIST. The soreness of my neck (C2 and C3) has not gone away and causes a constant headache from the pressure. I'm in constant discomfort and pain. Do not let a chiropractor who really knows nothing about you adjust your neck! I learned the hard way and urge anyone to go to a chiropractor with a facility that can take their time with you and communicate with actual physicians. The joint offers great services but their upper management needs to be reworked. During COVID they charged my card and I could not cancel it because they were not open. I did a stop payment via my bank and someone how they charged another month for a total around $160. I was able to call a second time to the Joint and cancel but they would not return my money. I wrote Casey Barkley, after getting his email through the receptionist, about the unexpected charges. He wrote back: "We will make sure your membership is cancelled, and since you contested with the bank they most likely will credit your account, otherwise we would have refunded your account." First this was not true. The receptionist relayed the message to me, from him, that a free membership would be given. Which I did not need nor wanted. He never offered to return my money. Second it is poor management to relegate the solving of the problem to my bank. It has been 2 months now and I still have not gotten my money back and it is a good possibility I never will. $160 that I never used and in fact was taken from me with out my say. Also notable, the only reason I went to The Joint was for Dr. Mark Rayshell. They laid him off due to COVID and them closing and once they opened back up, they did not hire Dr. Rayshell back. Dr. Rayshell. He tried calling them to find out why this was and management would not tell him way. But we all know why, they used the pandemic to get lower wage workers. Went here months back but forgot to give a review of why I never went back. I was the only one there, but yet the guy treated me like it was a drive thru fast food line. Didn't let me explain my issue. I got the words out "my lower back is hurting with sharp pains", then he stopped me and told me to sit on the table. I tried explaining specifics of what was going on and rushed me through a 3-5 min session. He did a few things like the table drop and I think it was done wrong the way he has me laying. He boldly said all of this should help and I will feel it tomorrow. Lol I felt nothing and my pain was the same. He also never let me explain that I was having some stiffness in my neck and then when I got outside I realized that he didn't even let me mention my neck. I don't know if the guy has a nervous/ anxious disorder but he was non stop talking. He didn't ask questions, but was crazy opinionated. I've gone to 3 different chiropractors over the years all for my mild stuff I do athletic training. This was the worst experience. The front desk secretary was really nice. The facility was clean. If the guy would slow down and ask questions and explain what he's doing then that would better the experience significantly. read more
