I've never committed to seeing a chiropractor regularly until, on a whim, I found out that Dr. manning's clinic was right at the end of our block... before we moved that is. A few months later, I now go out of my way to see Dr. Manning. Now that it has been 3 full days since my appointment, so far I am not having headache pain like i was before getting acupuncture. I had been seeing a chiropractor for six months with no clear results and after exhausting my medical benefits, I decided to leave. I found Manning Chiropractic and decided to give Dr. Manning a try. The appointment was easy to make, the receptionist was very welcoming and excited to have me come. I arrived to my appointment early with paperwork and they were again very excited to me. I met Dr. Manning and he is the only physician that since being here in Dallas... reviewed my history, took the time to understand what my issues and goals were and then reviewed my previous x-rays. Dr. Manning spent a lot of time with me to ensure we were on the same page. I had presented with tingling down both arms and hands and had severe elbow pain. Dr. Manning did techniques that I had never seen before and I've been around the chiro block a few times. I was adjusted in ways that I didn't know were possible. He spent the appropriate amount of time addressing my whole body through the adjustment appointment AND DIDN'T didn't create separate treatment plans and create additional charges like the previous chiropractor did. Off the chain!!!! Dr. Manning single-handedly (well, actually, he used both hands) saved my cross country trip! We were headed to Nevada from Georgia and my wife threw her back out of alignment somehow. She was in misery! She tried sleeping on the floor of the hotel but that didn't work. We actually took some of the things we were carrying in the car out and shipped them to our destination to make room for her to lay down in the back of the van. Still no relief! We got to Dallas at night and after a nights rest, she STILL was in pain. We had to do something. So I turned to Yelp and found Manning Wellness was listed really high in ratings. The helpful girl at the front desk was able to squeeze us in after I explained our situation, even though there wasn't supposed to be any availability. Five minutes into the visit, Dr. Manning did some adjustment and my wife stood up and walked normal again! Dr. Manning saved my life, literally! For over a year and a half I had been experiencing chronic pain in my shoulder/upper back that no one could fix. I had seen orthopedic surgeons, back specialists, pain management doctors, etc. I had had x-rays, MRIs, CT scans, etc. and no one could help me. My doctor's solution was to put me on pain meds that would make me so sleepy I was in bed for most of the day. I stopped working and socializing, the pain was that debilitating. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind as to why Dr. Manning was voted best chiropractor in Dallas! I can't even begin to express how cared for I felt during a very difficult business trip to Texas. I've been seeing chiropractors for over 15 years, and--hands-down--Dr. Manning is the very best I've ever worked with! Having flown in from California on the first night of Chanukah/Christmas Eve for a convention, my trip seemed to get off to a good start. I have frequently re-occurring spinal pain from years of competitive athletics and one hard fall a few years ago that makes travel for work super difficult. Whenever I escape from a long plane ride unscathed I practically jump for joy! However, a peaceful, pain-free trip was not in the cards and I pulled something out of place in my lower spine the very next evening on Christmas Day. When I began my frantic search for a doctor the next morning I filtered to chiropractors within walking distance from my hotel with 4-5 stars. I stumbled upon Dr. Manning's practice and was thrilled to find he was open on the 26th. After describing my issues/pain level to him, he got me in that very morning! By the time I arrived at the office I could barely move. I'm a tough gal that rarely complains, and usually when I'm asked about pain scale from 1-10 I answer with 3s and 4s. This time my pain level was like a 13, and I was actually afraid to get an adjustment for the first time since I was about 16 years old. Dr. Manning was not only sensitive to that, he was thorough, descriptive, attentive, curious, a fabulous listener, patient, kind, but also efficient. He is EVERYTHING, seriously! He took his time to cover my history and did an extensive examination of my skeletal system before administering stimulation, spine stretching, and a series of adjustments. I didn't only see Dr. Manning that first day, but I also saw him the next two days. I can't say that in three days he was able to solve a years-long spinal injury, but he did provide much needed relief and medical support that made the injury actually bearable. Dr. Manning & his staff are the real deal! I hurt my back exercising and jumped on Yelp to see what chiropractors were in the area. The staff was able to get me in the same day and had treatment to alleviate the pain due to a rib displacement. I was in excruciating pain and within several days my pain had gone away. Truly, I did not know what a chiropractic adjustment could be until I met Dr. Manning. I don't mean to diss my last chiropractor, as she wasn't terrible, but now in comparison to Dr. Manning's thorough approach, her adjustments seem pretty perfunctory. In one short visit, I quickly learned that there is much more to the practice than I even knew was possible. (Example: did you know you can have your jaw adjusted? I wish I had known sooner!) I came to Dr. Manning with a litany of issues, not the least of which was back pain that had been persisting for a couple of months. The past few weeks that I've been seeing him, I've already been able to be more active again, and the pain is diminishing with each visit. I would actually describe his approach as somewhat fearless; on me, he does adjustments that I can't even imagine my previous chiropractor doing. I actually laughed a lot during my first adjustment, having gone in thinking I knew what to expect and finding myself very much mistaken. It was rather unlike anything I'd ever experienced, and most of it would be completely insane outside the context of a chiropractic adjustment. This is not to say that it's painful or anything terribly experimental, but that he is clearly willing to do whatever it takes to bring his patients relief. Dr. Manning is super laid-back and personable; in fact, I keep meaning to ask what his secret is to maintaining such cool when he's so busy. His assistant, Diana, is also fabulous. They also file insurance claims, and have convenient hours. I had an injury as a small child and have seen 5 different Dr's over my years due to moves and retired Dr's. etc. Dr Manning does more adjustments in one visit than any I have EVER had at any of my other Chiropractors. He uses many different techniques in order to achieve great results. A lot of Chiro's have outdated equipment, but not Dr Manning. He called me back personally on my very first call to the office. I've had massages, acupuncture and chiropractic done here. Everyone is a joy. Dr. Manning is super handsome which takes your mind off the pain momentarily. LOL! The acupuncturist really listens to what your body is going through and what your needing. She writes down everything and she doesn't go haywire on the needles. It's a little nerve-wrecking at first but you feel the difference after! Due to acupuncture in my face my allergies were non-existent for almost a month! I had the best feeling and foot cramps were gone to not be seen again until months later. This visit helped with digestion and all around wellness. She even gave a list of medicines to help if i was open to it. After chiropractic work and seeing Dr. Manning, my husband said he had never seem my posture so perfect. He did a great job and I was even a little sore after my body was getting use to proper posture. I looked taller and could see definition in my muscles. I had been to a chiropractor before but they didnt help nearly as much in the areas I didnt even know I needed help in. The massage I got was okay. It wasn't as deep as I had wanted. Knots came shortly after but the girl who did it was very knowledgeable on non-western medications and well being. It was great conversation and insight to other medicines and practices. I think a lot of endorphins were released because I had a good cry for nothing. It was wonderful and made you consider to take better care of your health mind and body. So it still helped!
