Two years ago my landscaper suggested I call this business. Their service has been great until a new technician started a few months ago. Now all the fescue on the right side of the yard is dead. No sprinklers have malfunctioned during this time. Because Lawnscape could not figure out the problem, other than to blame me, I called my landscaper. Again we made sure the sprinklers were functioning correctly. My landscaper said that Lawnscape had over treated the area, and that he had 2 other properties in the same situation. He said it would cost $700 to reseed. Because I thoroughly believe that this is a Lawnscape problem, I called Lawnscape for financial help. The manager again blamed this on me, told me of their 45 years in business all over SoCal, their State licensing credentials, and generally of their infallibility of their service. This review is long overdue. Two years ago, we planted all new sod for both our front and backyard. A highly recommended sod, at the time, that was new to Southern California called Zion Zoysia. It was recommended by our landscaper since it would remain evergreen through winter and was kid and dog friendly. We were in. After the first winter and spring rolled around, we started to get weeds, the pesky sage grass weed that is difficult to get rid of. The sod company we purchased the sod from recommended we use Lawnscape Systems to control this. We've been customers now for a year and a half and are happy that we have them helping to maintain our investment. Our technician, Freddie who's been with us the entire time is a true pro and expert. Every scheduled visit I get a text that he's scheduled to come and asks us to update him regarding any changes we've seen that he needs to be made aware of. Consistent great customer service. When he arrives, he walks us through what he's going to focus on and delivers. Our lawn has improved with each monthly treatment and is the greenest, healthiest lawn on the block. Yes, it cost a little extra each month but if you are like us and see your lawn as an investment to add value to your home then you'll agree it's worth it. FLINT ROCKS!!! I used "other company" for 5 years and it SUCKED. In utter frustration I switched to Lawnscapes and WISHED I had done it sooner. 1st - request the tech come out and evaluate your lawn, dont do a phone contract. Flint came out, asked what I wanted, walked the property and began service. I had bare patches, nutsedge issues, broadleaf issues and all together a sad looking yard. My request: green grass. He asked me to give him 6 months to get it in order, which I know is fair. Within 3 months, the difference was AWESOME! I've used them for almost 2 years now and undeniably have the most beautiful lawn on my street. I get compliments ALL the time: in person and on social media. Our lawns had been looking green and lovely for the summer but when it turned cold and we had bouts of frost they began looking blue-gray. When Freddie came out he wanted me to specify my concerns. He is a personable and knowledgeable Lawnscape professional. He took the time to explain what was happening and how he would select the proper fertilizing application for this period of rapidly changing temperatures as well as the seasonal changes starting with the Bermuda and the rye grass. Having been with Lawnscape for years I know that the lawns will start greening up soon. This company is so different from the one my daughter had used which is perhaps better known but I saw how they arrived, sprayed, and left with little to no interaction with the owner. I have been using Lawnscape Systems for a few years now. Michael is our technician and I have to admit I was a little skeptical that they could perform to what they proposed. I have not had any weeds for the last 3+ years. Grubs and insects are a thing of the past. My lawn is the nicest looking in our entire neighborhood. We initially thought we have crab grass problem in our lawn. Their technical came and immediately explained to us that those were simply overrun of our existing St Augustine grass. Thank you Flint!!!! You took our brown damaged lawn that I was so embarrassed About and made it green again. In only about with 1-2 months (even in the winter!) it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL again! We have had Lawnscape for many years. Then cancelled with the drought. Lawn looked bad like most because we couldn't water much. Then drought was lifted but water rates went up and I protested and still didn't water! My grass was brown and crunchy with few patches of green. Then I called Lawnscape back. Boy, I am incredibly impressed of Flint's knowledge and his easy to follow instructions. I just wish I had before pictures to show but it was soooo ugly I never took pictures in the backyard. We have used Lawnscape for the past 3-4 years for our landscaping maintenance. Unfortunately in January their technician sprayed something on entire yard (front and back) that burned the grass out like a fire had gone through our yard. Contacted General Mgr Richard who sent out a guy to respray a odoreous substance and apply a thick layer of mulch over grass and threw down new seed. Problem is, we had beautiful sod and if I wanted seed I would have used it when we first planted yard. But we crossed our fingers and hoped things would improve and new lawn would germinate and all would be well. Well, It's April 4th and we still don't have a yard. But,they came out to apply pesticide and bill us a hundred dollars?? Had to speak to Mgr who rather condensendingly explain that Pesticide isn't part of the maintainence program. I explained in painstakingly slow english I don't want your technicians spraying anything on my lawn anywhere. Both my husband and myself have callled the company several times, I personally called the President Carl for the past 3 days and never got the decency of a return phone call. So my advice to any and all, don't waste your money on these guys. They don't care enough to respond to a phone call and repair what they have damaged. Social media can be very refreshing... Lawnscape is weak and expensive!! One incredibly dissatisfied customer who will not be returning to their services any time soon!! Update: I am happy to say that Lawnscape completely replaced my front and back sod after tearing it all out. The company they used ( Heather's Lawn Care) to install the sod was awesome and Heather and her crew spent 3 very long and detailed days tearing it out and laying the new sod. So, it made up for the 3 months of a really unpresentable yard that now looks great. Heather even went through all the sprinklers and replaced any heads etc and checked all the lines for full coverage. Her efforts and expertise really made me forget about the inconvenience of the whole situation All is well now. They are not very good at communicating or returning call but they did take care of the problem and short of the burn spots from our dog our yard is much better!! read more
