This is my first bad review. I don't ever want to say anything bad about anybody so I'll leave it at that. Ordered a part on April 18th and still waiting. No tracking because I was told it will take 2-3 days, very poor customer service and it's not my first time buying from the place. I paid for part and shipping on the spot so it isn't my money. I had a poor experience with them. I recently purchased a John Deere riding tractor in a different city. John Deere said this shop would do warranty work but he said no because I didn't buy it from him. I told him I still need a push mower and edger and he was sending me to another store. I asked if he would reconsider. He arrogantly stated he didn't care. These people don't need or want your business So go elsewhere. It has been roughly 20 years since I have bought anything from this location back when I had a lawn service. The customer service was great and I was able to walk in, purchase a mower, and walk out in less than 8 minutes. The only reason it took that long was because they make sure the mower had oil, fueled it up, and started it to make sure I would not have any issues. They also made sure the self propel and blade brake worked. If you need a mower go check them out. I'll definitely be back if I need anything they sell. read more

After moving to a house on a acre, I realized that I needed something much bigger than my push mower. With all the utility of the front loader, three point, pto, and mid mount mower I decided to get a John Deere 1025r, and I was trying to decide between going here and United Ag and Turf. I decided to buy here because of lower prices, better stock, and better customer service. They also had a neat area of the store with antique guns and knifes which was very cool to look at. We've done business with Lawn Land for a long time. Perhaps 30 years or better. We've bought tractors, mowers, implements, chain saws, trimmers ... we've used them for service - EXCLUSIVELY - for the items we purchases from them. Brands include; John Deere, Stihl, Snapper. Sometimes the stock levels are low or it seems a certain brand or product is no longer available, but we worked with them. Waiting until something is in stock so we can support our local store. Recently something else started to happen... it seems the owners and some of the staff just started to not care - parts weren't available for purchase but if you had your equipment serviced there ($85.00 + per hour) the parts were available. Ordering some parts didn't even seem like an option. Then COVID hit and most of the staff and the OWNER pretty much refused to wear a mask and if you wore a mask in the store, you could tell you were being judged. I have reluctantly continued to patronize Lawn Land because I have for years, I have friends who work there and -in some instances- they are the only option in town. Recently, I dropped of the Snapper mower that I bought from them... I was told it would be two weeks, but probably sooner. By the service manager. After a week, I called first thing in the morning and none of the service staff was available. I was asked to call back. The next day, I called and left a message because "They are busy helping other customers" I never received a call back. Two days later I called and asked to speak with the service department and was asked if they could call me back. The next day, a day before the two weeks has expired, I get a call back and am told service is taking a month. I asked why my expectations were set at 2 weeks and they told me that nobody told me that. Oh well. I called the next day to talk with someone about why service seemed so screwed up and the wife of the owner asked if I would speak with the owner. I tried to speak with the owner, he hung up the phone. I called back and his wife hung up on me too. The following day, I picked up my mower. Googled my problem. Watched a YouTube video and had my mower repaired in about 1/2 an hour. I won't be spending any of my money or time (after this) on this sad local company. read more

I've tried calling this company several times at various times of day... always fast busy... except 20 minutes ago... finally got through and asked for parts, girl asked asked if I was willing to hold 3-4 minutes, said sure... 19 minutes later, nothing... disconnect to call again and guess what? fast busy... I ordered a part and called back less than hour later to cancel. Was told he would see if he could cancel and call me back. Didn't return my calll until next day to say the part was there. I told him I needed it cancelled. Just checked my bank statement and was charged 25% restocking fee. I will never deal with this company again. United Ag and Turf, a better way to go. read more

I purchased a 13K garden tractor/mower from them a few years back. I changed out the 62 " deck for a 54 " deck. They said they could not give me a trade-in, but would sell it on consignment. Well, guess what, they said they know nothing about it after I asked them about its status. So they effectively "Stole" the 62" deck. But to make matters worse, I asked them for a part number for the deck blades, and they refused to give me the part number. And when I said well thanks anyway, he laughed at me and sarcastically said good luck! His name is Cody in the Parts area. Anyway, I finally found the model number and easily found the part number on the Deere site... Geeze why such bad customer service? I will never step foot in that store again, and I am making sure I tell everyone. Go to North Texas Lan & Garden, they don't have Deere products, but they are way better with customers. As a matter of fact, instead of buying my new zero turn tractor from Deere, I decided to change to Skag. Sad, I have been a Deere customer for 40+ Years! read more

Bought my John Deere 350 here last year and could not be more pleased. I had first purchased what I thought was an Ariens from Home Depot-BIG MISTAKE. It lasted a year and half before needing $1200 in repairs. Its gone and bought a commercial model John Deere here. It was great and so was the staff who was very knowledgeable. read more

Worst Service Ever! I spent more than $13000 in their store and they treated me very badly. I bought a Gator utility cart (plus some yard equipment ) from them and when I was test driving the gator on their parking lot the gear would not shift smoothly. They said it was normal (Not true according to John Deere) A week after it was delivered I had problem with the gears. I called them over and over again and every time they said they will send someone to pick it up. They never did. I contacted John Deere the manufacturer (by filling out a survey) and John Deere made them come pick it up for repair. It took them 3 weeks. While my utility cart was there, I asked them how much would they charge to install a turn signal assembly (I gave them the kit). They called back and said it cost about $490 and I told them not to install (too expensive). When they brought back my utility cart I did not see my light assembly kit and I noticed my towing ball assembly was missing from my gator. The driver said he left them in the store and he will bring it back in 20 minutes. It has been a week now and i have called several times and I still do not have my items back. I put the same complain on Google and the owner (that he never responded to me before when I left message) quickly responded very dishonestly to my complaint. In his response he said they offered me free installation on my kit assembly (they never did. They told me the cost was $490). He also wrongfully said they installed the kit and they had to take it off (Not true, I had asked their service manager to give me a price before installing which they did. My kit assemble is still packaged in the box). The owner also says there was nothing wrong with the gears but his service manager told me they found the problem and replaced something. So, instead of acknowledging their bad service and offering to do better, the owner responded with a bunch of lies. I will never go back to that store. Their sales people are very nice but If you buy anything from this store Do Not Expect Service. read more

First they have No Knowledge of parr's or service, second they are rude and don't respect you as a customer, third they never answer the phones, and last they are higher priced than most although I would be willing to pay for service and respect. OMG! Terrible, terrible, terrible. If you have a John Deere tractor, unfortunately this is the only place in Denton county for parts & service. Well, I've had enough! From now on I'm driving to Gainesville or McKinney. Their customer service is terrible!!! Almost every time I've been in this store it takes forever to get waited on. . The sales clerks are incredible slow in processing customers/sales, therefore you are waiting, and waiting, and waiting for your turn at the counter. And it's not that there are a lot of customers - they are just that slow. The final straw for me came yesterday. I ordered a tractor part over 2 months ago. I had to pay the $350 in advance and was told that it would be available either in a couple of days or a week. And that I would be called if it was going to be the later. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I called them to see where my part was. They didn't know but said they would find out and call me back. A few minutes later they did call me back to say it was on back order and would be here in 3 weeks. FIVE WEEKS LATER, having not heard from them I drove to the store with my invoice in hand and requested an update. Well, they had no idea where it was. So they called John Deere and found out it had never been shipped. At this point they really couldn't tell me when my part would arrive. That's a hell of a way to do business - take my money, let it collect interest in your bank and offer no commitment on delivery of merchandise. The owner overhears what's going on and offers to refund my money - YES! I will gladly take my money back and go elsewhere - from now on!!! Oh, and as I was leaving he said they would call me if it ever does come in. You bet! I'll be holding my breath on that to happen. If I could give this a rating of negative 10, I would . After speaking on the phone to Bobby the owner of Lawn-Land in Denton he invites me up to his shop to meet him and said he would personally sit down with me to decide between the X380 or X570 I was interested in. After getting to his shop and making it clear to two employees I was there to see Bobby I waited for three hours to see him, four other customers who all arrived more than an hour after me Bobby immediately broke free and met them with hand shake and took care of them knowing I was still waiting, probably locals, and I never did see him? I kept asking his employees a dozen times when can I talk to him and then eventually asked 'Why won't Bobby talk to me?' I had $7,500 cash in my pocket and a trailer reserved at UHaul in Denton. I made it clear my objective was to buy it cash and take it home that day and even asked an employee if they had a trailer I could borrow and if I could get the tractor today. Bobby refused to speak to me after personally inviting me to sit down with him at his shop. I have NEVER been treated SO RUDELY and total disrespect and completely humiliated in my entire life. This place is the absolute worst customer service. If your a local they know you'll probably be treated respectfully if your from 25 miles or more away don't waste your time unless you want to be completely humiliated and ignored, treated like they do not want you in their shop. So I bought a John Deere from Lowes the next day a much smaller lighter weight than the dealer tractor but the biggest Lowes sells. John Deere should not allow Lawn-Land to sell John Deere products as poor treatment of customers at Lawn-Land is SOOO BADDD it reflects on John Deere. read more
