There was a 10% off 2 pedicures promotion advertised on their Facebook and when I inquired about it at check out the staff member condescendingly said he knew nothing about it. I then pulled up the advertisement on the salon Facebook page and his only response was "well I don't have Facebook". At this point it was the principle of the matter rather than the discount. Another staff member behind the desk finally convinced him to call the owner and confirm that the promotion was something they were running. He then applied the discount while continuing to grumble and act as if we were a bother. We paid partial cash and he then made a snide remark about making sure I knew to tip off the whole service rather than just the amount I was putting on my card. I never in my 15+ years of getting my nails done have ever been spoken to in that way. I get we all have bad days but his attitude alone ruined our experience.

This has not always been the case with other nail salons - I have experienced: *frigidly cold foot soaks where I protested, but was told over & over "the water's going to get warmer" (even though the water stayed cold) *long, pointed fingernails jabbing into my feet *pointless use of a pumice stone *general apathy Never again. I finally found an effective nail salon & therefore am now a devoted Delane fan. Keep in mind that there is only one lady (the owner) working in the building at any given time, but she is a ridiculously good multitasker, so there's never a long wait when I go, even when a few people are in there. This is a good thing, since I have never been able to successfully schedule an appointment with Delane Nails...I just walk in & get my service on the spot. I can't stress enough that I am always well taken care of when I go. Keep an eye out on the daily deals sites for specials at her shop. You may save enough to give this gal a good tip & I think she deserves it!
