I don't typically try new nails salons, but I had no choice this day. I came on a Saturday as a walk-in and they greeted and serviced me right away. I highly recommend Trish who did my nails. She's very thorough and accommodating. I was able to relax and enjoy my mani/pedi without her hurting me or having to correct her work. I plan to bring my mom, aunt and cousins back the next time. Trish will def be my go-to nail tech when I'm in Lafayette. My only suggestion to the establishment is to offer guests beverages. Another patron had to ask on my behalf. read more

Samuel Jones · about an hour ago I'm so sorry that I made the mistake of coming here rather than UGO Spa down Johnston simply out of convenience. My manicure was rough, painful, and lacked attention to detail. I had to tell my manicurist multiple times that he was hurting me and, at one point, I even had to yank my hand back! He also scraped the skin off the edge of my finger, causing bleeding, and would paint over the wound with polish, which BURNED. I actually had to coach him through tidying up my nails (he left ragged edges after filing and he left polish around the edges of my nails after painting). I even had to tell him to use multiple coats of polish, because you could still see through it! I shouldn't have to tell a professional how to do their job! And what makes matters worse, is that they had the *nerve* to try to charge me full price!! I told the manager exactly what I wanted and she told me it would be $15 before I even sat down, and by the time she was called over due to my unwillingness to pay the full price, she actually tried to lie and tell me what I originally asked for was more expensive! I really felt that my manicure should have been free for the fact that it drew blood, alone, but if that wasn't enough, the amount of coaching I had to give my manicurist had me thinking I would have been better off doing my nails my own damn self! The manager cared very little that I had a negative experience and only took off $3 for all of the coonery and buffoonery I had foolishly decided to endure. I feel regretful for: 1) Not going the extra distance to UGO Spa where their business is run by true professionals whose bare minimum standard is excellence, and 2) Even sitting through this manicure until completion! I have been going to Exotic Nails since I moved to Lafayette several years ago and I won't go anywhere else! The staff is very friendly and the owner, Jenny, always makes sure I get exactly what I want. They have an extensive selection of polishes (probably over 150 gel and dip powder colors as well) and regularly add more colors to their collection. If you like acrylic nails, they do those really well and never lay it on too thick, which is really ugly in my opinion. When I get my nails done with gel, it usually lasts me 3 weeks which is awesome. Highly recommended!! read more

I had a spa pedicure and shellac manicure ($25 each) while in town for a few days, after seeing this place in passing. My pedicure included a salt scrub, foot massage, and hot stone massage. My shellac manicure also included a hand message with lotion. The shellac color selection was some of the best I've seen. The shop was very clean (technician used gloves for pedicure) and the employees were friendly. I will admit both the manicure and pedicure were relatively quick but I had no complaints because they didn't sacrifice quality in the process. My mani/pedi looks great--better than most places who keep you in the shop all day. I'd highly recommend Exotic Nails. read more

Went bring my 9 yr old granddaughter to have her toes polished for her vacation. She had on a clear with glitter in it on her toes already. After we left my granddaughter said, she didn't remove my old polish. You could see the old polish lines through the new polish and she had polish on the skin of her toes. I do NOT recommend this place what so ever. First thing first, they do not take there time nor do they try to pamper you. During my manicure a chuck of my skin was taking out of my thumb. They are very hard to understand and they do not try to communicate with you. Oh and not to mention my massage on my hands latest a maximum of 30 seconds. Had a terrible experience. After wearing a full set of their acrylic nails for two weeks, I went in for a refill and was horrified to find 8 of my 10 fingernails had green fungus growing on them. The staff was very Unapologetic and reacted by quickly putting on a new set over the fungus to cover it. I went to my doctor immediately afterwards and he said that was the worst possible thing to-do. I had them removed and am now having to treat a persistent fungus likely caused by contaminated equipment or improper technique. read more
