I have been a patient of Dr. Denker's for over 15 years and wish he could be cloned! He is…read morepatient, very caring, will answer any medical question one may have, and generally feel I'm in goods with his experience and expertise. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Availability of an appointment is never a problem.

I'm not the type of person who keeps up with physicals, or likes going to Dr's. I think if I feel…read moreok, I'm ok. So I visited Dr Denker this afternoon, cause I was due for a physical. Not too mention I needed refill's on my scripts, and since I haven't been for so long they couldn't refill. Somehow there was a misunderstanding on when my appointment actually was, I thought today they said no next Wednesday in their computer. After about 2 mins no worries they fit me in and I was able to see the Dr. I've always had high BP and been on meds for years, but now the meds aren't working. So he sounding very concerned, said we must switch and try something else. I certainly don't want you God forbid having a heart attack or stroke. Wow that hit me like a brick to the face!! He's a straight shooter, who doesn't sugarcoat anything!! Then again has a wonderful "bedside" manner, will make small talk about family, work, just how is your life in general. A very easy person to talk too, and I can tell genuinely cares not only about me but all his patients. He's in a group called Holy Name Primary Care & Specialty Associates. He is my father and step moms primary physician as well. His location does provide parking, behind the building but depending what time of day it is can be hard to find a spot. Bottoms line he a great Dr, who I and you can trust to look out for your well being!!

My mother was a longtime patient of Dr. Salazar for many years. After a complicated spine surgery…read moresequence left her fragile, we brought her recent CT/MRI, lab results (GFR 17) and hospital notes to him because we trusted his reputation. He initially told us he would help and said she needed an EMG -- then, under apparent pressure from the hospital, he reversed course, stopped advocating, and ultimately dropped her from his practice while she was hospitalized and unable to find a replacement. During that time she repeatedly received dangerous IV diuretics and treatment decisions that worsened her kidney function. She was hospitalized repeatedly, spent 45 days in the hospital, and ultimately her kidneys were destroyed -- she's now on dialysis three times a week. She can no longer manage her insulin pump and her quality of life is destroyed. She was 82 -- this should never have happened. He said he would sue the hospital for what they were doing -- then he fell in line. From where I sit, patients aren't protected when doctors bow to institutional pressure. I'm posting this so anyone who trusts their doctors to speak up will know to document everything, demand second opinions, and be extremely cautious if a long-standing physician suddenly "drops" a seriously ill patient. (This is our family's experience -- we have all documents to support what we're saying.)

I would recommend her to anyone, and even got my mom to switch primaries with her. One problem, the women that work in her office in the billing department are the worst people I have ever had to speak with in my life. I had several issues with billing and they were out right rude to me. My mother had similar issues and they were so rude to her in fact, that both myself, my husband, and my mother are no longer going to this doctors office. It is a shame, because Dr. Gussak is an amazing doctor and the people who work in her office ruin it for everyone. Because of them, specifically the manager in the billing department, I would have to not recommend her services for anyone.

To the Outpatient Laboratory Department,…read more I would like to express my concern regarding a recent phone call I made to inquire whether my physician had sent my laboratory order. I simply called to verify that the order had been received before making the trip to the laboratory. Instead of receiving a straightforward answer, I was met with a patronizing response: "Listen, I know you work here, but..." Whether I work for the hospital or not is irrelevant. As a patient, I was calling with a legitimate question and expected to be treated with the same courtesy, professionalism, and respect afforded to every other patient. A simple confirmation of whether the order had been received would have been sufficient. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so that future interactions reflect the level of professionalism patients should expect from the laboratory staff. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

When you first come in you are able to get checked in and get your vitals taken…read more after that ..... NOTHING you can walk back up to the nurses and ask what's that time looking like ? And if you have a STATE ORDER they still make you wait. If you're not 14 or younger ... or 75 and older , you guessed it - YOU WAIT. they said it's being triaged but it's unfair. I won't be back. Quality isn't there. Triage seems racially motivated. Fairness isn't there & the care is bare minimum IN ER.
